Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

A soft snorting roamed around the floor of a room, a room the animal had never been in before. Everything smelled, oddly familiar, yet not. Like it was someone she had met before, but only a few times. Oddly enough, the smell also seemed to enrage the small porky animal. With a few more snorts here and there, she hopped up onto one of the beds in the room and plopped down, snuffling and snorting to herself as she waited for her owner to return.

Attached to the pigs pink ribbon collar was a little note...

Saphirus, please look after Piggy for me, I cannot take her with me. She is very easy to care for, and I think she likes you a lot. Feed her Carrots as a snack- I left you a bag by your door- and anything else so long as its not very fatty. She tends to gain weight very quickly...

The note ended with a hastily scribbled out word that began with an L, and under that,
