The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The job for today was done. It was something rather petty and hadn't paid too well. A temporary bodyguard position while some important person's son went shopping. They didn't feel threatened enough to hire her long term and didn't have the guts to have her kill whoever it was they feared. As such the job had been short and annoying. Why she hadn't even gotten into a fight! So it was that, with considerable annoyance haunting her, Cosmina had gone home to her warehouse with a pittance in her wallet. Well, she considered it a pittance. To the everyday office drone it was probably a month's pay or more.
Cosmina needed cheering up. She hadn't been out drinking in a while. Mina's lips curled into a large than usual smile. The woman fairly skipped to her bedroom and her closet to pick something out. Her black on black work outfit simply wouldn't do for going out for a drink. She grabbed a pair of jeans out of the closet. It was quickly followed by a pair of black stiletto heels, a blue silk scoop neck tank, and a black leather jacket to go over that. With her outfit picked out she showered, got dressed, put on a little make up, and went to catch a cab.
Eventually she ended up at a bar called Blue Star. It was exactly what she was looking for. Expensive enough that she didn't feel like she was slumming with guys that probably didn't even know what a hundred dollar bill looked like. Consequently it wasn't so expensive or exclusive that it was only rich people. While Cosmina liked being around rich people, especially their money, she found it easier to enjoy herself with those that had less reputation to uphold etc etc etc. Cosmina stepped out of the cab and onto the sidewalk. It was busy but not overly so.
Into the bar she went with a confident stride. She sat at the bar and ordered a drink. She didn't really notice what it was. Just that it had vodka in it and it was one of the more expensive drinks on the portion of the menu she saw. That was enough for Cosmina. Smiling, she sipped her drink and watched the other patrons as well as the door.

Shana had spent much time thinking about what she wanted to do this night. She had slipped back into her recluse lifestyle and knew she had to break it, much as her friend had tried to help her with. Now the fiends she did have were never arround. She had no idea where Kasumi had even gone. With a heavy sigh she sat back down and her new and soft bed. Most of her room was new, thanks to rather frequent accidents with her powers. She knew she was depressed and with no friends to turn to she had slipped back into dwelling on herself. Her imperfections and her terrible secret and her own nerves and fear. Standing she looked around then down at her hand, trying to recall what she had been tought and smiled as she sat back down.
Focussing her mind, she pictured a large cube she was in the middle of. A green field appeared under her feet. and slowly she relaxed and florwes began to bloom. A bird with a human head flew high in the air but somehow she knew that the bird was a friend she had not seen in so long. Still the mental practice kept her focussed and calmed her nerves. Opening her eyes, with a new look of determination she rose from her bed and made her way to her closet, she smiled, her confidence growing as she sifted through outfits before at last she found it, picking the dress up she admired the pink dressSmiling she slipped into it. She left her room and the mansion quickly, not noticing the lamp her powers decided to toss onto her bed, unplugging it in the process. Getting out to the front gate, she became very aware that she had no idea whare she wanted to go. SOme her nervousness came back but she forced it back as she slipped into the the cab. She was at a loss when he asked her whare she wanted to go and it helped little that he seemed to stare. "A...bar" she said with a shrug. Weather he just did not care or figured she was out of town do her her accent she did not know, but they soon pulled up to a bar, called Blue star.
Paying the driver and getting out she felt a bit over dressed but made herself go in anyway. Once inside her nerves leaped into her moulth but she forced them back down and sat at the bar. She once again pictured the feild and the flowers, but this time their was a fierce wind. In her mental world she extended her arms and forced the wind to cease, through her will, though it was never the best way it was quicker. Still the Bartender was asking her if anything was wrong when she failed to respond to weather she wanted a drink or not. "yes, please, umm im not from around here" shaking her head when the barkeep asked her if the blue haired girl drank much. He mixed her drink then leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Look hon, try not to drink to much, probably can't handle what you could" he said then gave a friendly smile. Still as he turned away, The young transgenderd girl hands were shaking, he had been able to tell easily, to easily, where was the flaw in her armor, her mind raced even as her shaking hand grabbed the drink and she took a long drink from it. Enjoying the taste she, ordered another though her voice shook a bit as she did and quickly downed the next drink.
She began to realize she was feeling more confident in both her looks and her confidence, not only that but she playfully inked at a guy who looked a bit to long at her. She loved the feeling and started on a third drink, as she turned her focus from the glass to the barkeep, her glass, suddenly shattered sending small pieces well across the room, though their had been no indication of why the glass had just broken. Shana knew she should be concerned, mentally she even knew she had done it and that she should have felt bad, the barkeep apologized to her for the accident, before pouring her another glass. She looked to the woman next to and took a minute to admire the rather pretty blue sink blouse, then she did somthing she would have normelly done, she started a conversation "Hello, your blouse is quite pretty" she said in a friendly voice.
A young woman with blue hair, of all things, walked into the bar as Cosmina relaxed and enjoyed her drink. She seemed quiet and shy if her actions and body language were anything to go by. The dress she wore seemed a little out of place but that wasn't any of Cosmina's business. She simply went back to her drink and her people watching. The people watching that Cosmina engaged in meant that her attention returned to the woman with the odd hair color a few times as she drank.
The barkeep seemed like a nice fellow. He looked after the odd woman as she drank. The woman grew bolder with each drink. Cosmina was not concentrating on the woman but merely looking in her general direction when the glass that held the woman's latest drink shattered for no particular reason. Luckily none of the pieces flew in Cosmina's direction but this had her attention. A glass did not simply shatter like that for no reason. As near as Cosmina could tell there had been no shock that might have broken the glass. Even if the glass had been fragile due to ill making or age it would still require some force to break. Perhaps there was an uncontrolled mutant amongst the bar's patrons? As long as they caused no trouble for Cosmina, she didn't care. When the blue haired woman spoke to her moments after the glass's unfortunate demise Cosmina favored her with her usual smile.
"Thank you! I like your hair."
Cosmina sipped at her drink. New people were fun. Especially if they happened to be dangerous. This one didn't seem dangerous but a new acquaintance never hurt anyone! At least as long as she didn't turn out to be a target someday. She wouldn't care if the woman did but the woman might be upset. That was something Cosmina never really understood. It wasn't like they were going to be dead forever so why should they be so angry when she had to make them that way? It was just business.

"Thank you, would you believe it's natural" she said easily, a flicker in her mind told her the information was to much. No one normal had blue hair, but her mind reasoned that passing on the information was fine, nothing bad could come of it. She got another drink from a bartender who looked much more concerned then before, she downed this one quicker then before. SHe noted it tasted better then the others and reasoned the bartender might be adding something extra to her drinks.
Her total lack of concentration however, let her powers out of their pen again, this time on the other side of the bar, a man wa splaying pool, his stick seemed to move just as he took his, shot and he struck a rather large looking man in the back of the head. A Loud crack was soon heard as the stick was grabbed and cracked over the man's head. Both men barely kept themself up as it was, and Shana looked down at her empty glass, finding for once violence meant nothing to her.
Then shana got an idea, a great idea,. Reaching into her purse she took out her lipstick and applied it. Satisfied she grinned with her shimmering pink lips, but frowned when she saw the beautiful woman next to was looking away. Moving quickly she wrapped one hand behind Cosmina's head the other grabbed her lower back, her finger slipping up the woman's blouse and then she did something she never would have considered, she leaned in and deeply kissed the woman next to her. Her hand fell from the womans back, as he slender fingers found purchase in a more then friendly grope. her other hand still pressed firmly against her back.
Natural blue hair? That was odd. That plus the sudden destruction of the glass pointed toward the blue haired woman being the mutant in question. Shortly afterward the woman got yet another drink. She already looked like she was drunk, more would only make that worse. It wasn't any of Cosmina's business though so she mostly ignored it in favor of watching the other people in the bar. A fight broke out at one of the pool tables and Cosmina's head swiveled so she could take the spectacle in before the two men were thrown out.
Before she could watch much more she was grabbed, kissed, and groped in one swift motion by the blue haired woman. Her reaction was a knee jerk reaction in a quite literal fashion. Moments after the blue haired woman's lips touched hers and her hand moved to someplace that it most definitely wasn't welcome Cosmina's knee came flying upward. Her fist flew next, directed at the woman's jaw. No one kissed Cosmina Anca Walker without permission.
Cosmina's bright smile was struggling to stay in place as her anger warred with the bright persona she kept up. She was furious. A bad person had touched her in a very bad way and had even kissed her! That wasn't nice. The bad blue haired lady deserved to be hurt for that! She barely managed to hang onto her mask of happiness. The smile she wore was strained and looked more like she was a vicious animal baring it's teeth than any true smile. Cosmina gained some distance from the blue haired woman, ripping herself away from the other woman and standing a few feet off.

Shana was no fighter and in her drunken state, she was even worse. She stumbled out of the way of the first blow but was caught easily by the second and knocked back into a table, spilling the contents onto some very annoyed customers. Shana could barely recall what happened, but her powers decided to help without her permission as she lacked the controls she normally kept in place. Looking around franticly she found little help from anyone else.
Still as her eyes swept the room, her powers began to pick up things and throw them, though little was really aimed at Cosmina, normally she would have apologized, even in her drunken state she realized now what she did was wrong, but before she could say anything a large number of glasses suddenly started shooting for the roof, each one having the potential to rain down glass. She tried to stop it but found her powers would not focus enough to do more then slow them down.
SHe tried to stand but her legs found little ground under her and shana began to realize just how much she might have drank. "this is why mom said not to drink" she said as she looked back up at the woman whsoe anger was very understandable. "sorry" she said though the word was slurred and even as she did more things began to float.
Cosmina's anger boiled for a minute or two and then began to recede as she regained her control. Her smile returned to an relaxed state and her eyes managed to reflect a mood that she didn't have. Her uppercut had missed but the knee hadn't and the blue haired woman was sent sprawling. That was when her suspicions were confirmed. Various things from around the room began flying through the air. A telekinetic of some sort Mina guessed. She certainly didn't feel any wind moving things around. A few of them hit her. Most missed by wide angles. This mutant had very poor control.
It was rather pathetic to be honest. The woman had gotten drunk so very easily and lost control of herself. If her control over her power was so poor as to be broken that easily then she shouldn't have indulged at all. She should be back at her place of residence learning to control her powers. Now glasses were heading for the ceiling. There would be a rain of glass at any minute. Cosmina didn't care a whit what happened to anyone in here. She was going to leave. There was any number of other bars nearby that she could spend time at. She overheard the woman saying that her mother had said never to drink and then she apologized. Cosmina simply blinked.
"You should have listened to your mother then."
Her tone was cheerful and friendly. The meaning wasn't. Cosmina would have happily killed the woman if it weren't for the fact that she wouldn't get paid for it. As such she smiled and watched the drunken woman as her powers spiraled out of control. She would leave soon. Right she suddenly wanted to amuse herself by watching this out of control mutant flail about.
