The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hairpin had left her suitcase in the Danger Room, and decided to go back and get it now that the "state of emergancy" was over. *Hairpin walks to the door of the Danger Room, and scrunches her face up seeing it locked, requiring a keycode for addmittance.* ~I can open it!~ mindspeaks the rabbit at Hairpin's feet. ~How do you know how to, Dafi?~ Hairpin questions her bunny. ~When I first tried talking to Mike, all I got were a few images, one of them was of this keypad!~ the bunny replies. (Unknown to the bunny, was the level at which Mike had set the danger Room, or even what the Danger Room was used for.)
*Hairpin punches a few numbers into the keypad, after recieving a mental image from Dafi. The Danger Room doors open, and she steps inside. She is startled when it closes behind her, but steps further into the Danger Room too retreive her suitcase. Panels open in 4 sides of the danger room, and a total of 16 flying, laser shooting, robots rocket around the room. They all target Hairpin and Dafi.* ~HELP!~ Hairpin sends a mental message to everyone in the immediate vicinity, and provides a picture of the Danger Room to go along with the cry of help.
*The robots closing in, Dafi scurried up Hairpin's leg to hide in the pocket in her coat.* Hairpin dashed foreward, and managed to avoid the first wave of the robots. No one had come to her aid, so she deduced that the walls of the Danger Room were able to block telepathy. By now she'd tried calling out to Mike, Daria, even Ms. Tipper, Siren and Delphi. but the only response was an emptiness. *The marking on Hairpin's forehead began to glow neon blue.* "Go away!" Hairpin shouted at the robots. Nine of them crumpled inwards, a great telekinetic force crushing them like soda cans. Hairpin lashed out with her pigtails, now in the form of two blades. Three of the five remaining robots were destroyed. The two remaining robots changed tactics, and combined themselves into a human sized robot, which came running toward Hairpin, using it's former propellers as swords. *Hairpin's pigtails extended above her head, and braided themselves together. The end of the braids formed a giant hammerhead.* "Leave me ALONE!" Hairpin shouted, bringing the giant hair-hammer down on the robot. *Seconds later, the Danger Room doors opened, revealing a group of students outside who had gathered to watch. None of them knew she was actually in danger. Hairpin llie prone on the floor, passed out from the use of her telekinesis. Dafi sat there licking her hand, trying to wake her up.*
(She should probably be brought to the med-lab or Daria & Kit-Kat's room.)
*Tricity was carrying her suitcase clumsily down the hallway, finally being able to close it with some of the papers hanging out still. She nearly tripped also as Janie grabbed her free hand and began pulling her down the hall.* "Janie, slow down!! What's wrong??" janie: "THAT BLUE HAIRED GIRL IS IN THE DANGER ROOM!! SHE'S NOT ALLOWED, RIGHT? SHE'S TOO YOUNG!!" "Janie, are you sure? She wouldn't know the access code..." *The little girl continued to pull her along, until Tricity saw many kids pushing their way into the danger room.* janie: "SEE! I told you!! COME ON!!" *Tricity finally reached the door and pushed the children to the side, seeing Hairpin on the floor and the simulation starting up again as it moved on to the next level of difficulty. When the children saw Tricity come in, they stopped looking on and moved out of the way. She pressed the code to open the glass door leading into the simulation practice room where the girl was lying down and the unknown, strange looking bunny was licking her hand. Tricity bent over and picked the girl up off the floor, the bunny watching carefully. As the simulation started again, it was on a level Tricity had beaten many times and easily short-circuited the robot who was about to attack them. Then with one big surge, she shut the whole program down. The resounding loss of power made the kids disappointed and left the room. Many of them had never been inside, due to their age. Janie, of course, was still there and picked up Tricity's briefcase.* janie: "Is she dead Ms. Tipper?" "No, Janie, she isn't dead. Can you bring that upstairs with me please? I'm going to see the Doc?" janie: "K!" *The little girl went in front of Tricity and pushed the other kids aside to help them through.*
*Hairpin was still unconscious as she was being caried out of the room. Dafi followed Tricity and Janie, her ears drooped in distress. Every once in awhile she stopped for a second to squeel softly at Hairpin, trying to wake her up.*
