The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Derek enters the Danger Room, and gets directions from a few helpful senior students to the locker room and uniform room. He opens a large steel door and enters the clean, white room. He sees the uniforms that the X-men use. They seem to be in glass cases, the ones in the cases must be used to indicate who's uniform is who's, there's lockers underneath where the actual uniform must be. "Well...I only have one..." He says, going down a hallway looking for an empty locker.
He finds an empty one, and opens the locker. "Voice sample required." The locker says, as if out of nowhere. Derek thinks for a moment. "The Archer." He says into a microphone. The locker plays it back and Derek confirms it as his password. He places all of his things inside neatly.
When he is finished, Derek exits the locker room and goes back into the main part of the mansion.

The Archer returns to tho locker room in the danger room, injured from the "fight", if you could call it that, with Toxis and Ella. He makes it to his locker, opening it and taking off his mask, revealing a bloody and bruised face.
*tricity came into the locker room, having seen derek come in before. she had her hand over her eyes and felt her way across the room until she reached the benches to sit.* hey derek, are you decent?

"Yeah, you can look." Derek says, pulling on his civilian clothing. His face is still pretty rough, and it looks like he is favoring his right side and lower back. He picks up the back plate of his suit and sets it down on the floor.

"Well," He starts, shutting his locker door. "I was out trying to get information when some girl decided to drop a bit of acid on my back." He says, lifting up the back of his shirt to show a burn mark.

"I think so." Derek says, sighing slightly as he holds his side. "Then another girl showed up, this one I have some history with which would just be really confusing to tell right now, who is also a mutant. She has strength that matches mine, probably greater. She decided she wanted to kick some of Archer's ass."
damn...i knew that girl was gonna be a problem. she was here at the mansion a few days ago saying some crazy shit. we'll have to watch out for her. *she intertwined her arm into his.* come on, let's get you upstairs.

Derek finally returns to the mansion, after several months of not suiting up as The Archer. He walks into the Danger Room, and straight for his suit. He quickly puts it on, and is eager to leave and do what he should be doing. When he is finally suited up, he grabs his bow and quiver, and heads out of the mansion.

The Archer makes his way down to the locker room once again, he has spent a considerable amount of time in his suit. First he takes off his mask, leaning against the locker and closing his eyes. He's tired out, and it shows. And it's a great time for a young mutant named Spell Caster to make her move. She turns the corner, and gets in front of him. He opens his eyes soon enough to see her place her hands on his temples, and speak softly. "So...you're The Archer....listen to me. From here on out, untill I say you're free, you're going to be not so good. Understand?" She asks, looking up into his eyes.
The Archer nods. "I understand." He says finally, waiting for orders.
She removes her fingers from his temples, smiling. "Put your mask on, and follow me." The Archer does as he is told, and the two leave the mansion in quite a hurry in broad daylight.
