The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael came into the infirmary. He had passed Deathstar and Raina and taken to leading the way. He nodded to Doc Prof.
"Come for a check-up Raphael?" Doc Prof asked while looking away from his computer screen.
"No, I don't get sick and I never get hurt, you should know this by now... worst bit ever done to me happened..." Raphael trailed off, he still had difficulty discussing what had happened at the Fusionist lab. He had not told everyone everything he remembered, and had little intention of trying to remember more than the little he did remember.
Doc Prof smiled grandfatherly at the trio. "I know Raphael, what brings you and Layla here? I see you have a new friend with you. I do hope you have not had an accident in the Danger Room."
Raphael shook his head. "No, no accident at the Danger Room. A whee bit of an incident down at the lake is all."
"That would explain why you are getting my floor wet," Doc Prof said with a smile as he looked over to Raina. "Well, come here dear. Let me have a look at you. What's your name?"

Raina walked timidly over to the doctor and without thinking answered his question "Raina" shocked at the sound of her own voice she shook a bit. "Oh-! Parodon me! My voice came back." she smiled. She held up her hands. "I think i pushed myself too far, I'm worried it might be forst bite... and that's saying a lot as i'm from up North." she smiled sincerely and looked back over her shoulder at Deathstar and Raph giving them a reassuring smile.
Deathstar walked in quietly behind Raph while aiding Raina into the infirmary, doc prof acknowledge their presence but Deathstar just gave a shook of the head as if she was silently saying hello. She stood beside Raph in the background arms folded still not saying much to the group. Deathstar gave off a sly smirk when Raina smiled at her, "Look Raph!, I'm sorry for what I did, but Jenny is a good friend of mine and I don't like to see my friends get hurt" she says in soft voice, careful so that the others won't their conversation. "You know I didn't mean for this to happen1, so don't hold this against me!" she looked at Raph with a serious look upon her face, she turns her attention back on Raina and Doc Prof. "Hey Doc hows that one coming around?", she points to a woman with the name of Victoria in which she read from the medical chart.
Raphael shrugged to Deathstar’s comment. He was fairly certain she was sorry, but that, in his mind, did not excuse her actions. One did not brashly and outwardly attack a friend without provocation as Deathstar had. And most certainly not in a way that could possibly end up drowning someone. Besides, was he not also one of Deathstar’s closer friends? At least that is what she had said before his final cage match. He shrugged and turned away from the group, going over to beside the violet haired Victoria and taking a seat that he had requested Doc Prof leave there. It had been awhile since he had visited her and this trip to the infirmary was as good a time as any.
Doc Prof smiled down at Raina. “Well, it is nice to meet you Raina, I’m Doc Prof.” He took her hands and raised them close to his eyes to get a good look at them. After a moment he lowered them once more and concentrated, bringing his mutation to bear as a soft golden light flowed from his palms. He read the cause of Raina’s injury and nodded, almost to himself, and smiled once more. “Wait right here.”
Doc Prof left for a moment, returning with a damply warm towel that he draped over Raina’s hands. “They’re just chilled, not frost-bitten. You’re lucky you got them out when you did.”
He then looked over to Deathstar and addressed her question with a sigh and a frown. “Her condition has not changed since her first and last bout of consciousness nearly a year ago.”

Raina smiled up at the doctor and thanked him repeatidly. She turned her attention to the girl Raph was sitting next to "would it be too nosey for me to ask who she is and why she's here?"
"A patient," Doc Prof said, with more than a hint of sadness as he followed Raina's gaze over to Raphael and Victoria. "That is Victoria Holgrave. She arrived here just before Raphael did, and they both valiantly fought to defend this institution when Whitmore's thugs sought to exploit a moment when the X-Men were well away from here on a mission. She suffered an electric surge that, well... to be honest, the easiest way to explain it is, she was shorted out. Dangerous thing she did, trying to mess with the insides of a sentinel. She passed out from the electrocution and has yet to wake up. Raphael visits at least once a week to check in on her."
He smiled towards the silent pair, and then looked back to Raina. "They must have been close for him to spend so much time with someone he knew so shortly."

Raina nodded. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to fight alongside someone and then watch them fall. She prayed silently that the girl would one day wake up and her facial expression was saddened.
She stood akwardly unsure of what to do. She thought for a while in silence.
"It's hard to believe... fellow mutants would do hurtful things to eachother...." she paused. "I always tried to teach my tribe back home that mutants were nothing to fear.... Being a mutant against a human is an unfair battle... not because we have powers... but because they have equality in eachother's eyes and we do not. Nothing will ever be fair untill we are all equals..." she wasn't aware of how profound she was sounding- she was sincerely speaking form the heart.
Doc Prof nodded along with Raina's statement, while he lifted the warmly damp towel from her hands. "It seems like you are all better, go ahead and flex your fingers some." He smiled grandfatherly and stepped back to go and put the towel up. "Feel free to visit anytime you want Raina, I like your philosophical outlook, perhaps we could discuss it in a little bit more detail some other time." And with that, he disappeared into his office.
Raphael looked up from Victoria as Raina spoke his name. He looked a little dazed and took a moment before he answered. "No, it's okay, we can move on." He patted Victoria's hand, murmuring something soft and meant only for the unconscious woman, before calling out to Doc Prof. "Look after her for me, will you?"
He got up and moved towards the door, masking his sorrow for his friend with a question to Raina. "Have you had the tour? and if yes, anywhere you would like a closer look at?"

Raina blushed at the Doc and thanked him again moving her fingers. They were a little stiff and a little white... but they'd work again in no time. She frowned at Raph but realised he needed to be cheered up.
It was a whirlwind of a day. "Hmm, I've sorta had a tour, why don't you and deathstar show me your rooms and I can get to know you both better? Maybe introduce me to some others around here that you're friends with?"
Deathstar still remained silent, she wasn't the type to show emotions. In her mind Deathstar would like to learn more about this Victoria, but she figured she asks Raph in a private manner. Deathstar snapped out of her thought process when Raina mentioned moving on, "Well how about we hit the Danger room?, well thats if Raina's up for it" she says while cutting off the on going conversation in the infirmary.
Raphael stepped out of the infirmary and into the hallway. He looked from Deathstar to Raina. "I am up for either prospect, even if I have already had my daily workout in the Danger Room."
Okay, so that was not entirely true, he preferred the Danger Room aspect over the visit everyone else's room aspect. He was not entirely shy about showing his room off, but... well, there was not much to show off there. He had been here nearly a year now and the only thing to show for it was his duffelbag in the closet. And besides... he could always work out a bit of frustration in the Danger Room.

Raina looked absolutley frightened and looked from one to another. "You have a dangerous room? Why in the world would keep a room that is dangerous? Is that like a utility room?"
she knew the school could train people and help them with their gifts... and she knew mutants faught eachother... but she had no idea what secrets really lay inside the mansion.
"Well, it can be. It's a holographic training room designed to present those who make use of it with opportunities to train themselves in various things. Most frequently the exercises are of the physical combat type, though the room could be set for just about anything," yeah, he had likely spent a little bit too much time there.
"It's nothing to worry about, it's only as dangerous as one sets it to be," he said with a forced smile.

Raina's face screwed up despite her best attempt to hide it. She gave a shrug. "I guess so... why not?" she really just wanted to stay with some other people. She didn't feel like being alone
