The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"IS he going to be alright?
"I don't know...his superhuman senses are nulled, we can't contact his mind, we even tried Cerebro."
"...I can't feel him either.."
"Daria, Don't worry...He'll be fine..."
"Yeah..I hope so.."
The white sheets on the uniform hospital bed were all too crisp and unwrinkled as Daria sat beside them, tears streaming down her face. Mike..Hadn't moved...he hadn't moved since the mission and Daria hadn't felt him in her mind. And she was antsy, jittery, constantly worried and tired. She'd been going to class but she hadn't been paying attention.
Everytime she layed down on the soft matress that was in their bedroom she couldn't close her eyes without seeing his smiling face and crying, or seeing fusionist and extracting her claws. She felt like..she could've done something
She left him there...left him all alone and she didn't have to. And because she ran off to save herself under the stupid guise that that would in turn help her save Mike, he was gone. The lifeless shell of a body that was in his place didn't count. She had lost the man who held her, eased her nightmares and made her feel special and beautiful. But now..now he lay still and quiet, his breath not even stirring at her touch.
It was like he was dead.
And in a dedicated Vigil Daria was there in his room at every free moment helping the nurses and whispering things to him. things she oped he could hear and she knew only he would understand.
She tried her best to be strong, to not cry and to look like she was in control. Tricity would need a strong front while Mike was gone and she wanted to be there for the woman who had given her a home. She she kept a brave face while at night the warm tears overflowed and slid down her honey colored cheeks, without Mike's lips to kiss them away.

((lol, it's fine))
Daria appeared beside the doctor as he checked Mike's pulse. A nurse had entered to bath Mike and Roll him over so he didn't get bed sores. But Daria dismissed her and began the provedure herself.
"You smoke now, I hear." The doc said into the silence.
Daria didn't answer, she simply poured soapy water on Mike's chest and massaged it into the skin. The water, when rinsed was clear as it had been before it touched his skin. She sighed. He was so still now.
"it's bad for you, Daria."
She still didn't answer. She washed Mike's hair as well.
"You're always trying to kill yourself aren't you?"
With a dead pan look on her face she turned to the doc. "I couldn't be any more dead right now." she said to him.
"is that so? I beg to differ."
"Mike is my family, Doc. And He's gone now. All I have is just-"
"Still there. We are all your family, Daria. You always tend to forget everyone when you lose just one." he said.
Daria shrugged and dried Mike off.
"I speak what I feel."
"do you not care how that makes others feel?" he asked.
Daria placed a hand mockingly on his shoulder. "If I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry. But you're a big boy, girls come and go."
He grabbed her arm and his eyes met hers in a very parentally threatening way. "Listen, child. I know you are upset, and you are not well but I've been here far longer than you and I refuse to allow you to disrespect me in this manner. Do not think I would hesistate to ban you from seeing Mike, you take enough liberties as it is."
She kept his gaze for a minute then smirked and disappeared.

Zeke walked into the hospital/infirmary room and looked around. He heard that the mutant they called Cassiel was here somewhere, but he wasn't sure where. He very much wanted to see him, if only for a second, and size up the situation. Maybe speak with the DocProf? For some reason, Ezekiel felt strangely drawn to Cassiel...
In the corner of the room he saw a figure laying on a bed. A young man, or a boy, he couldn't tell. He looked sleeping, or dead, barely alive was a better way to put it. This must be him... because Tricity had said that Mike was in a coma. This must be him...
Zeke stepped forward and managed to catch the DocProf approaching him out of the corner of his eye. "Hey Doc" Zeke said lowly, and waited for the man to come closer. He didn't even glance at him really, he just kept focused on Mike.
"Hello Ezekiel..."
"Doc, can't you help him?"
The DocProf sighed, "No, he's got to do it on his own now..."
Zeke cut him off, "But couldn't it be possible, that there is a mutant out there somewhere, somehow, who could heal this kind of mental wound. A mutant who could pull him out of his coma. Doesn't someone like this exist?"
"I suppose Zeke, but we don't know."
Zeke was continuing to get mad again, "Then why hasn't anyone been looking for him!!!" He said in a half yell.
The Doc placed his hand on Zeke's shoulder, "Calm down, after all, if anyone should be fretting it's me. You don't even know Cassiel do you? That's irrelavant though... we have looked Zeke, and we can't find anyone who can help him."
Zeke stepped away from the Doc and walked closer to Cassiel. He walked up and placed his hand on the mutant's forehead, and then turned back to the Doc. "Apparently you haven't looked hard enough." He spun and walked towards the door.

Daria was changing the flowers in Mike's room. The Doc prof was still angry at her for her disrespect but was too kind to keep her from seeing Mike.
She sponged him clean and rolled him over to prevent bedsores. She looked down at him, brushing a hand through his hair lovingly.
Come on, Mike, wake up. Please, I'll do anything if you'll just wake up. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
Sarah misses you, she's getting smarter every day. Please Mike, you can't do this to us...I'm so sorry...If...if anything happens...I'll never forgive myself... she grabbed his hand in hers and watched the nurse change the IV.
Then out loud she spoke to him "I don't think...I don't think I can live without you, Micheal. I love you..." she bit her bottom lip and teleported a chair to catch her weak frame as it fell.

Daria sniffled a bit as a thought of johnny entered her head.
"You know how many times you've risked your life for me, Mike? do you realize I'd be dead if it weren't for you!? How can you do this to me? How can you leave me like this?" she leaned in closely so that no one could hear her.
"I would've said yes, Mike, if you'd asked me to marry you..." his hand was warm but unresponsive, however Daria fooled herself into thinking he moved his fingers a bit. Just a bit. she let go and walked out.

Daria walked in, feeling a little better. As usual she relieved the nurse of her duties and did them herself.
Her tail was low to the ground and only one ear was up, because her head set was clipped to it. She had brought a new flowers and began to replace the old ones around the room.
And, as usual, there was no change from the many monitors connected to Mike. His mental signals showed no conscious activity, the vital signs were steady and slow, and he wasn't moving a muscle. The fact that this was 'normal' was more than slightly sad.
It was probably because of the completely normal state of Mike's lack of response that the odd sounds seemed more like interferance on her headphones than telepathic murmuring.

Daria took the headset from her ears and adjusted it, trying to see if she'd lost signal on her phone and Tricity was calling her. That didn't seem to be the problem and she walked around the room, towards the window and then back.
So much for being the tech specialist she thought to herself and put the headset in her pocket. She went back to arranging the flowers and then walked to get fresh linin for Mike's bed. However, when she walked to his bedside, she noticed the noises were still there. Her ears twitched and her tail stiffended nervously.

Able to pick up on the emotions but little else Daria's ears kept flickering back and forth trying to get the noise to stop. She wondered if her powers were having a side effect and her super human hearing was picking up on radio waves.
That seemed a little too insane she laughed to herself as she teleported Mike to a cot so she could change the bedsheets.

Now aware that it was in her mind, her instinct was to push back but there was a weakness about the interferance that she didn't think it was going to hurt her. She looked at Mike's machines-they were as they had been for the past couple of months. So it couldn't be Mike...
She teleported him back to his bed and put the cot away, then stood beside him looking at his still features. The urgency in her mind was hard to ignore so she relaxed her thoughts and tried to figure it out.
