The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Wow see thats why I love you. I say date, you say vacation. I'm thinking a weekend you go for a week." She kissed him and said seriously. "I've also come to realize that there is nothing wrong with you wanting to save me and keep me happy. I need someone to look out for me. We all do."

Daria nodded. "Damn skippy." then she frowned and pretended to pout.
"No fair." she prodded his mind, or tired to, her attempt was almost laughable because even as exhausted as he was Mike had no trouble keeping her away from the part of his mind with vacation plans in it. She sighed and stuck her tongue back at him in return.
"Eh, it's not like I'm going to make you wait for long. Like I said... I just need a few hours to make the plans. It's only a week, after all," he grinned.

"If I wasn't so darn tired I'd roll on top of you and beat the info out." she threatened. "But that would probably wield different results that intended and we'd get strike three from Tricity." she laughed. Her voice was geting softer and softer as she spoke becuase she was getting closer and closer to sleep.
"And its not just a week...its like a really spectacular" she yawned "mondo super fun week....it has to be because you're planning it." she stretched and purred against his chest.
Mike smiled, putting an arm over her, giving the curtains a telekinetic yank to ward off the disapproving eyes of the infirmary staff as they both dozed off.
"Hurts" Victoria managed to show the pain she was in on her face. She could have sworn that she still felt the charge running through her body as she tried to return the squeeze to Raphael's hand.
"Oh the poor dear." The DocProf smoothed back Victoria's hair and then picked up her wrist to hold for a pulse. "You're going to feel stiff for a while, dear. So I'm going to give you a sedative to let your body relax and hopefully get some sleep." He smiled hopefully at her and then looked to Raphael.
"Let her rest. The best you can do now is give her support and get her anything she might need." He placed his fraile hand on the man's shoulder. "In the meantime, you should come with me to make sure you're still in one piece." He chuckled lightly, casually glancing at Victoria in her vulnerable state. There was hope that she would recover and they would have to hold onto it.
He gave a soft sigh, watching Victoria as she was given the sedative. "You hold in there... You'll turn out right as rain." He murmured softly, then looked up at DocProf. "I'm fine." He stated then rolled his left sleeve up to where he was shot. The barest hint of a scar remained there. "Even this'll be gone soon..." He sighed softly watching DocProf as he gave him a silent lecture. "Fine..."
He gave Victoria's hand a gentle squeeze and a soft pat as she slept, then got up and followed DocProf a short distance away. "Now Raphael, sit and take your shirts off."
Raphael sat down and stripped his over-shirt and tee-shirt off. "Lemme guess, you want me tah cough now?" He asked, rolling his shoulders in a shrug that produced a pleasant pop.
"Glad to see you still have your sense of humor young man." DocProf said with a smile and spread his hands across Raphael's arm, right over where the scar was. His hands emitted a soft golden glow and DocProf nodded a couple times, then pulled back. "You did not mention anything about your ear Raphael."
"It's all better, ain't it Doc?" He asked, reaching up and fiddling with the bit of his ear that had already grown back. "Good as new."
"So it would seem. I take it your other mutation is regeneration then?" DocProf said as he handed Raphael his shirts back.
"Yeah... Can I go back to her side now?" He said, already getting up to go back to Victoria's side.
"Not alot I can do to stop you, now is there? Just be sure to let her rest, okay son?" DocProf said with a nod that gave Raphael the permission he sought.
"Sure... an' if she wakes.. I'll call for you 'gain..." He said, and pulled his shirts back on and made his way back to his seat next to Victoria.
Raphael looked up as the lights 'went out' for a brief second. He glanced about quickly, for some reason expecting another attack to be occuring. His right elbow blade snapping out, until his eyes settled on Kaine and he heard the other man's question. He retracted his elbow blade, and gave a soft sigh.
"You missed all the fun. Whitmore attacked, plenty of fighting to be done 'round here..." He gave a glance at Victoria who was still out cold, and let out a soft sigh. "Sentinels landed, and the X-Men, I think that's their title... not sure. Showed up and 'rescued' us... Questions?"
Raphael gave a shrug to Kaine’s comment. He certainly did not know to properly respond; though he did still feel bitter about the whole incident. He did not feel bitter towards Kaine, or really anyone else in the mansion. He felt bitter towards himself, and the sentinels, and that he had not been able to protect Victoria from the sentinels or herself. So his words sounded slightly bitter as they passed through his lips. “Sounds like you just missed all the fun.”
He could not stand to stay here. At least a portion of him could not stand it: sitting here helpless, just as he had done so during the battle. Standing in the doorway as Victoria had run forward to attempt to pull important pieces of the sentinel out while she was inside. He shook his head some and sighed, raising his hands to his temples and holding his head. The other portion of him knew he should stay there. He should remain by her side, quietly waiting for her to waken again. She would need him then. He however needed someone else to talk to… or more accurately, complain to, and it was something he needed in a more immediate sense.
“I gotta go…” he muttered softly. He wanted someone to converse with, someone to tell him he had done the right thing, or at least the only thing possible. He stood up from his place beside Victoria and took a moment to move her hand to a gentle resting place on her stomach. He brushed a couple purple hairs away from her face, and then took his leave of the infirmary. Where he would end up, only his feet could tell.
