The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade, who was clinging to the ceiling, invisible, scuttled near to the infirmary. Something made her stop, voices, a few voices. She peered into the infirmary, still a little tensed up. Jaguar was taken and she had no idea where he was taken to and quite frankly, it was stressing her out. When she saw that there were people that she recognized, she began climbing down the wall until she was on the floor, but she was up in a corner and she wasn't gonna move or become visible, there was no way she was going to be taken like Jaguar.
She didn't get it, Jaguar was strong, if there was ANYONE that could get out of that situtation, she thought it would be him, and yet it wasn't. Guilt crawled over her when she thought back on how she turned to find him tranqed and being taken away, the fight she put up to stop him, but she was greatly outnumbered and there was only one thing to do...disappear. She looked all over for him, staying on the ceiling but he was no where to be seen. Guilt was all that she felt and she looked down at the ground. She didn't care about the cuts and bruises, they didn't hurt as much as her heart did. The blood was visible for she didn't realize how much she had bleed from a gash in her arm.
However, she didn't want to stay in the infirmary much longer and when she saw another leave, she followed, still staying invisible, all but the blood stain on her arm. It was not something to be proud of, she was careless but outnumbered and the only way to deal with it was to run, the biggest mistake, running was never the answer. She ran all of her life and did not wish to do so anymore. She kept her distance and stayed quiet
"That it was. I feel a little bad saying it, but I've been praying I'd be one of the ones who got to do that asshole in... I'm so, so glad it's all over."
He squeezed her hand. "So now the question is... with the last few months' focus gone, what happens now?"

Daria looked at him. "We should ask Sarah." she joked but she knew what he meant. They hadn't dealt with a lot of the stuff that had been surfacing. They'd been so busy they'd pushed themselves aside for almost any lost soul thrown in their way.
Alot of responsibility.
She sighed. "I don't know Mike. I mean we were planning what to do with our lives. I've enrolled in IT classes so I can teach a course at the school. I still don't intend to go anywhere." she struggled for words. "Guess we'll have to see right? I mean..whats on your mind?"
"Not much, yet. I'm still trying to process tonight. I'll be taking my poly-sci classes in the fall, that much I know, or maybe something else if I decide that another major is a better fit for what I want." He sighed, "I still have to find Johnny sometime and take care of him. What's going on with the restaurant?"
Raphael returned some hours later, in a fresh change of clothing, and looking further tired. He had not rested, but rather spent a grim task of cleaning things up, atleast cleaning up the mess he had created. That much he felt responsible for. He made his way across the infirmary, not bothering to summon DocProf, he would visit with him for his scheduled 'check-up' later. Right now he wanted to be at Victoria's side when she woke, and that is where he planted himself. His hand on her's and by her side.
Victoria lay in her bed, motionless, for what seemed like hours. It was probably verging on early morning now after all the fighting, but she still lay unconscious in her infirmary bed.
When Raphael returned and sat at her side, Victoria woke up. Unable to move a single muscle in her body except to breathe, she listened. She could hear him breathing next to her. She could smell the sweet scent of a freshly showered body. All at once, Victoria's body drew in a deep breath and exhaled it. For the longest time afterwards her chest expanded and contracted only minimally. Where she didn't appear to breathing, Victoria was actually focusing her strength into the other muscles in her body.
After a long time of forcing and willing her body to work, Victoria's eyes opened. She moved her blue irises and looked at Raphael. She wanted to be able to tell him how much her body hurt, she wanted to know if they had won, she wanted to know if she would be alright. Having been electrocuted, she could only imagine any burns that would now scar her body or what internal damage the power did to her.
Working hard to move her vocal chords, Victoria was only able to manage a sound that resembled a whimpering moan. In hopes of getting Raphael's attention, she wanted answers...she wanted to get up and leave.
"Victoria?" He had sat there for what seemed like hours, but what had really been minutes. She was awake, and hurt... Worse than he imagined. He frowned, and started his mental self trashing. However he tried not to voice it. "We won Victoria... relax... you're hurt, bad.." He continued, his hand moving from her's to her shoulder to hold her there. "You need rest..." His voice quiet, but rock solid, the type that is hard, yet concerned and caring. "Hey Doc!" He turned around in his seat for a moment to summon the good doctor from his office. "We need aid here..."
Raphael turned back to Victoria, and sighed softly. "I'm sorry Victoria..." He started, looking down, and drifting his hand from her shoulder to her's. "I let you get hurt... I let you get hurt badly... I couldn't protect you." He sighed again, squeezing her hand and bringing it up with his as he pressed his forehead to both. "Just... Just get better... The Doc'll help... Help you in ways I can't." He sighed a moment, then felt a hand on his shoulder. He glanced up.
"You are still due for that check-up Raphael." DocProf said with a grand-fatherly smile. Raphael moved from his seat to let the doctor perform his duty. "She is in good hands." He told the young man and spread his hands over Victoria.
*Orion walked into the infirmary, Tricity in his arms. There was a sudden silence over the chattering that had been going on as they all looked over to the doorway where the two had come in. The DocProf gave a slight smile and ushered Orion over to an empty bed where Orion carefully put Tricity down.* docprof: "Good to see you again." orion: "Likewise, Doc. She's...not doing so good. I think the exhaustion has taken her out. So much power and emotion inside her, there's no where to let it out sometimes." *He sat down in a chair next to the bed and held Tricity's arm.* orion: "There's still electricity running through her body, Doc. Don't know how and when it will release." docprof: "Understood. Might be best to let her rest for now until I'm able to take a look inside and make sure everything is alright. Her heartrate seems to be fine. I have no worries she'll be ok." *Suddenly a spark shot from Tricity's body and hit one of the lighting fixtures, making it crash to the floor. Everyone ducked in surprise and Orion decided he'd better do something about it. He stood from his seat and took both of Tricity's hands in his own. A white glow began to emit from both of his hands, smoking along Tricity's hands as well. Orion was sending Order into her body to release the energy into him.* docprof: "This will weaken you, Orion." orion: "Yea, well someone has to do something so she doesn't blow anything else apart or leave the mansion in darkness." *Orion continued the process until he was sure the amount of electricity in her body was almost a normal, everyday level for her to have inside. He then sat down next to Tricity once more, holding the hand closest to him.* docprof: "I'll check on her in the morning, Orion." orion: "Thank you, friend." *The DocProf went on to help others in the infirmary and Orion tried not to stare back at what seemed like everyone staring at him.*
Cassiel gave a cautious look over at Orion. His presence made him uneasy... mainly because he knew, even if the others didn't, that it hadn't been the green stone controlling Orion into attacking him. The stone had been inactive by the time Orion had made his way into the museum, and the fact that he hadn't gone into Orion's mind just to look at the extent of the brainwashing yet made him nervous.
He also admitted to himself that there was a twinge of selfishness in the uneasy feeling he had. Over the past few months, Orion hadn't been there. Whenever things had gone wrong, he'd been the one, usually along with Daria, that had kept things together. Now, sitting over next to Tricity he was fairly sure he saw the end of his brief moment of importance.
He rolled back over and sighed. Nothing to be done about it. Life goes on.

Daria rolled her eyes. "You know I've been completely ignoring my cell phone for the past couple of days. I know someone mailed me the plans to open the first restaurant in New York city but I never looked at it." she thought for a minute. "Its in our room which, the doc says, is way too far for me to teleport anything right now. I can wait. I had almost forgotten how much work this is going to be....Before I do anything, you and I are going on a really nice date to get reaquainted with eachother." she laughed.
It stopped short as Orion entered. That was one very big dude. Daria felt Mike's thoughts and squeezed his hand. Tricity and Orion had been through a lot, she had gathered, and she knew they would get through this. They were a very persistant couple, like herself and Mike.
"Well, if you want anything 'out of reach,' consider me your substitute delivery system," Mike teased, leaning over to kiss her. "But maybe a little vacation really is in order... Oh, the decisions, where should we go..."

"I have the urge to say hawaii. But thats a bit too far and even though Orion is here I kinda feel obligated to stay close to the mansion. Besides, I've never teleported out of the country and, although that's the fastest way I'd hate to get there and realize I lose my tail some where in Arizona." she laughed.
"So dinner must be involved. And..." she blinked. "I don't know, you're the one who does all of the romantic thinking." she wiggled her ears and tickled his face with them. "So you come up with something."
He grinned. "I think I can come up with something. After all, I do still owe you the night we were supposed to have on your birthday." He looked thoughtful for a minute, "Although that's much too short... I'll have to figure out what to do to make it longer... booking an entire week should take some doing, maybe a few hours..."
