The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Teddy set the marker down after he was done writing with it. It was a lot harder to hold a marker that was nearly as big as you were in a mouth that didn't have any jaws. Once the marker was on the ground again he looked at the creature spelling it's name. Amber... He only knew one amber and that was the one he'd met in the kitchen. The cookies had been good then and she'd seemed like a nice enough person in there when they met there.
He recalled from their kitchen encounter that she'd mentioned something about wanting to try out a water for that was like the Lock Ness monster. This comment must have been a hint to her actual powers. Dinosaur shifter. Teddy wondered if she remembered him from the kitch or if she remembered what he'd said to them about his powers in the kitchen. Teddy wagged his tail again in acknowledgement of her name and to show that he understood where the arrow was pointing.
The young boy oddly picked up his marker again in his mouth and started writing 'from the kitchen?' as best he could. Apparently having hands, even if you didn't have thumbs, was easier than using your mouth to write with. Memo to self... Ted thought, Find a stuffed animal with hands next time. Amber's hand writing was way better than his was; although considering he was using his mouth to write he thought he was doing pretty well.

So, introductions were now successfully made, much to Amber's contentment. How she didn't think of the teen from the kitchen who mentioned being able to change into stuffed animals immediately she wasn't certain, but now that she had a name, recollection actually came to her. The smell of delious cookies wafted through her memory.
Amber carefully studdied Ted's words on the board before finally nodding her head in acknowledgement. The writing was difficult to read but that was probably understandable given the fact that he didn't have any hands and was writing with his mouth. Her writing would be pretty unreadable too if she was lacking in digits to hold the marker.
Now that introductions were out of the way, the question was where to go next. Amber still had the idea that spying on someone might be fun, just to see if they could and as good practice, but she wasn't sure if Ted was the type to be open to such a potentially immoral activity. Not that she meant anything bad by it, of course, not at all. She decided to leave it up to him. Taking the marker back in her claws, she wrote the words what now?
Ted waited for her response. It took a bit but he supposed that that was because she was having difficulty reading his mouth writing. Finally, he got an answer. It wasn’t exactly the answer he was looking for because he was actually thinking the exact same thing. Being the innocent little sheltered boy that he was, he couldn’t really think of much that they could do. He wasn’t too keen on visiting people’s room, especially after his first experience. Even though he didn’t really mean to he still had gotten into a lot of trouble because of the psycho chick who didn’t accept apologies or allow apologies to be given.
Although now that he thought about it, he was probably a lot less likely to get into trouble with someone else, than if he went by himself. Oh how the naive brain works. It was a wonderful thing. However, for the most part he didn’t want to relive that little experience, and it was probably best for his health if he didn’t. Teddy thought that it was probably best if he let her decide. By asking he could only assume that she had an idea of what to do. Even though he was a little hesitant to do any sneaking into people’s rooms by himself didn’t mean that he wouldn’t do it with someone else.
The young boy fumbled around with the marker for a bit getting it back into his mouth before writing, ‘I don’t know. Do you have an idea?’ Ted was completely out of ideas for what they could do and he also wasn’t that good at making decisions. If it were left up to someone else he would certainly go along with whatever she came up with.
