The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade came down from her room, her head felt terrible and she felt as if she had no energy. However, she finally made it to the kitchen and she began to slowly rumage through the food, looking for something to cure her hangover. "That was the worst night ever." She whispered because anything more than that hurt her head. She vaguely remembered Riruki, but she had no idea how she got home. She did, however, remember how she felt last night and the broken window with her blood stained on it. She grabbed some milk and tried that, nope, not good. She continued to desparately look for some help with her horrible hangover, but none was coming, after all, she'd never had a hangover before.
Tricity came into the kitchen with the intentions of making chocolate milk and having a few pickles. She had a serious pregnancy craving going on. As she walked in, she saw Fade looking rather miserable and rummaging through the cabinets and refridgerator. "Um, honey? Are you...all right?"
Fade looked up, looking absolutely miserable. She hadn't washed the blood off of her hands yet and her hair was going every which direction and there were stains all over her clothes from the alcohol. "Um yeah, just not feeling too great." SHe smiled, it might not be a good idea to tell the Head Mistress that she had a hangover, so she kept it to herself.
Tricity looked Fade over for a few moments as the young woman continued searching for something. She took Fade by the shoulders and stood her up straight, forcing her to sit down in one of the stools near the island. Tricity noticed the stains all of her.
Fade looked down and saw the stains. "Oh, nothing, just must have spilled, I didn't even notice." She lied before attempting to wipe off the stains with her hands. She, of course, didn't notice that her hands had old blood on them and she hoped that Tricity didn't smell the alcohol. It's a one-way ticket to being kicked out of the school and she did not want that to happen, this was her home, a real home.
Tricity grabbed the girl's chin and forced Fade to look her in the eyes. They were bloodshot. She could smell the stale stench of alcohol on Fade's breath and the numerous amounts of stains on her clothing was making things not look so good. Tricity then noticed the blood on Fade's hands.
"God, Fade. Are you hurt? Should I get the Doc Prof?" Tricity asked frantically as she searched Fade for answers. "Tell me what's going on, right now!"
"Everything is just fine." She said, looking away. "It's just, I went a little wild when Jaguar went missing, that's all. It's over, I'm alright, these," she said, motioning to her knuckles, "were done by me when I was mad. I, um, punched through a window and they just got a little torn up, they'll be fine. Please don't get mad, it was a mistake, I feel terrible, I'll never do it again. Please don't kick me out onto the streets again, I can't handle that again."
Tricity sighed and sat down next to Fade on one of the stools, reaching over into the sink and pulling one of the rags out. She turned on the water and waited till it was warm before drenching the rag. She took Fade's hands and dabbed them. "I'm not going to kick you out...calm down, ok? Where you drinking? And what window did you break? Please just tell me the truth."
"Well, I just got stressed, what with Jaguar's kidnapping and I couldn't take it, so I punched through my window, bloodied up my hands, went to a liquor store and stole some alcohol. Then I got drunk and I don't remember too much after that. I'm sorry, it won't happen again, I won't drink until I'm of age." She said, qlenching her teeth at the water being dabbed on her knuckles, the wounds were deep but she did not want stitches, she could live. The thought of having a needle being pushed through that nasty wound to sew it together or worse, being stapled was just stomach-twisting.
Raphael was feeling hungry. And for once actually had an appetite to go along with the hungry that currently plagued him. So, the natural destination for his wayward feet brought him to the kitchen, though he remained just past the door listening to the conversation and feeling ever so slightly bad for it. It simply was not proper for him to eavesdrop on those he called 'friends'.
He rounded the corner and watched the pair of women. "Good 'ay Miss Tricity... Your hand okay Jenny?" He asked, crossing over the kitchen and looking at the slices in Fade's hand between dabs from Tricity.
Fade looked up, hearing the name "Jenny". She had not been called that name in so long, it was typically the police that called her that when they found out who she was, so it was quite shocking to hear someone else say that. "Oh, it's fine." She shrugged, but then she breathed in quickly and quite loud from the pain. "Ouch." She muttered after she opened her eyes and unclenched her teeth.
He frowned a little bit at her winces of pain. He was still reconciling things in his own mind. Yet here was another of his friends hurt. "Look at me, and not at your hand." He started, maybe he could distract her as Tricity cleaned the wound up. He wondered for a moment where to start. It seemed like such a long time ago since he had met her in the hallway the night following the Whitmore attack, and somehow doubted bringing up Jaguar would be the best course of action at the moment. He studied her for a moment. "Lemme know next time you sneak out?" He asked with a small smile. He honestly did want her to tell him next time, and hoped she saw the bit of seriousness behind his jest. He chose to bury his own feelings for the time being.
Fade nodded and directed her attention at Raphael. "Well, I take it you heard what happened?" She asked, but it was more of a statement than a question, she just thought it might be a little rude to make assumptions without asking if they were true.
"The short side of the story... snuck out after smashing glass, leave that bit to me I heal faster, got yourself drunk..." He offered a smile, though it looked forced as he was concerned for her. "That last bit you can leave to me as well... I can pound away enough for both of us and not even get buzzed." He gave a little bit of a superman pose, then settled for leaning against a counter. "Do hope you forgive my eavesdropping."
