The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*tricity touched her stomach and sighed.* guess we will have to hold back against the 'festivities' for a while... *she commented, smiling michievously at him.*
"Well nothings saying we have to start right now, you know." he smiled back at her. Suddenly he tickled her stomach causing her to shriek and squirm. He caught her as she slid toward the floor.
"You and me both, my dear!" he smiled to her as she pulled him to her. Looking around he suggested that they head to his room which was the closest to continue their passionate scene with which was the reason that a mutant child would be growing in Tricity.
*cage, orion, and tricity came into the kitchen after watching tagen soar off for a flight. she showed cage to the refridgerator to get some food and then sat at the island on one of the bar stools. after grabbing a bottle of water, she decided it was best to not inquire anymore about cage around orion or other people for the matter. she thought he wouldnt prefer for the world to know about him. she herself wasnt sure if cage living at the mansion was the best idea.* so cage, have any questions?
"Yea, I got a couple. First off I was gonna ask if you guys wouldnt mind keeping me a secret for now. Im not sure if Ill be sticking around here anyway so I dont see any point in shootin off the fireworks yet, know what I mean?" Orion and Tricity nodded. Orion too was making himself a rather large sandwhich. He offered the cheese to Cage. Cage smiled and thanked him. Orion finished his sandwhich and went to the cupboard and withdrew a few bottles of soda. Reaching into the freezer he extracted some ice and filled his cup with ice and root beer. Sitting down next to Tricity. "How long has this place been in operation?"
Orion happily munched on his sandwhich. He must have been hungry, Tricity thought. She always teased him about his eating. EWating always mellowed him and made him easier to deal with. She used to laugh at him about it. Now she just smiled and turned to answer Cage's question.
well, technically this place has been up and running for about two years. charles xavier is hte name of another mutant who began the first school for students to come to get an education as well as try to get a control of their powers. because there were so many new mutants coming for help and refuge, xavier opened this second school up. we've been attacked a few times...this is actually a new building if you couldnt tell. the first one was destroyed a few months ago. *tricity said, having a slight break in her voice as she spoke.* we had the memorial service for the students and others who died in the attack a few days ago.
Cage swallowed a big bite and payed his repects to her for her loss. She thanked him. "Are they all adults like you guys, or are we talking about kids too?" He lk\ooked at Orion who wasnt smiling anymore as he ate. It just occurred to Cage he still didnt know what Orion did. Tricity was pretty obvious but Orion was very elusive with his powers. Cage also noted that he kept his weapons close at all times. 'Like a warrior.' Cagew thought.
Orions grin had faded as he heard mention of the memorial service. He had been there but he did not stand at the graves like all the others. He watched from a distance and had said his own respects. He took a sip from the soda bottle and went back to eating although he didnt fail to notice Cages eyes flick to his sword on the seat beside him. Orion didnt think Cage enough of a fool to try anything here, so he wasnt worried about it. He just took another mouthfull of the grinder and listened closely to the conversation.
*tricity noticed the strange exchange between the men, but entertained the question as if she didnt nocitce anything.* there are mutants of all ages living here. we have teachers and professors for the students to finish their education because as you know, mutants usually find out about their abilities when they are teens. thus, many are shunned and quit school. here, we give them that chance to.
Tagen had flown around the grounds and found a few places he might want to return to he walked in through the front door and asked some frightend kid which didi tricity go an followed them into the kitchen" hey you guy starting with out me"
Aeryn pushed open the doors to the kitchen, and entered the brightly lit area for the second time. She paused inside the door, wondering which cabinet would hold soup.
She wanted tomato soup. She hadn't had that for weeks. And a grilled cheese sandwich. That, too. Her stomach rumbled like an avalanche was occuring, and she hurried over to the food prep area, and began opening cabinets. The small ball of sand that hovered over her right shoulder joined in the search as a third hand, opening up cabinets that were farther down. The eighth cabinet held the desired soup, and the makings for a cheese sandwich were in the fridge. Laying everything out, Aeryn searched for a pot to hold her soup, and found it in one of the bottom drawers.
Now, she could get to work.
About half-an-hour later, Aeryn sat down at the table with a steaming bowl of tomato soup, and a plate with three grilled cheese sandwiches. She'd cleaned as she went, and the kitchen was like she'd never been there. In spite of the fact that she now lived in the school, she couldn't just make a mess.
Aeryn got herself a spoon and dug in, reveling in a hot meal.
Aeryn's meal was interrupted by a slew of young students rushing in with panic written all over their faces. Some of their powers were going off, and Aeryn watch with fascination as one fazed through a wall, one simply vanished, and another turned into a tough-looking cactus. The older students rounded the children up, and had them sit at the table, while a couple stood guard at the door. The ones at the door seemed the most level-headed, so Aeryn walked over to ask what was happening. A young man with flames rising from, but not consuming, his hair, glanced at her, then continued staring at the door.
"There're people, men, with guns, on the front yard. Cassiel, Daria, and an old guy are out there, trying to keep them from entering the school." he looked worried. "I hope they're alright."
Aeryn was confused. The school was being attacked? The small ball of sand fell to the floor in a liquid stream as fear gripped her insides. Aeryn had thought that this was a safe place! She slowly sank to the floor, as her mind raced, trying to figure out what she could do. She could run. Get away from here as fast as possible. But the men might still be outside, and they had guns.
Aeryn looked around the kitchen, trying to find a way out, but stopped, when the scared faces of the really young students met her. She couldn't leave them. She couldn't run. She had no other place to go, and she was tired of running, and... She didn't want these kids to suffer like she had. She looked back at the flaming hair kid.
"Do you know where I can find a lot of sand?" she asked, quietly. He shot her a questioning look. In answer, she formed the pile of sand into a wicked looking spike. He raised his eyebrows, and nodded.
"There's a playground outside, for the little kids. There's a sandbox there, but you can't go outside now! Stay here, and use the sand you have to help us." he hissed. Aeryn nodded, spliting the sand into three small needles. She joined the kid at the door, listening for any movement.
After several moments the flaming hair kid, nodded, and his hair promptly went out. He turned to the kids in the room. "They're gone. Let's get all the kids to the classrooms for the time being. The teachers will calm them down." He turned to Aeryn. "Go ahead and get your sand, the front yard should be safe now."
Aeryn nodded, and left with the rest of the students, trying to remember the path to the outside.
