The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

OOC Warning this post contains torture.
Stella Patterson was supposed to be home by now.
Stella was supposed to be at home, safe in bed, tucked under her parent’s watchful eyes until the next day where she would go to school and tells her friends what an awesome weekend she had. Stella was eighteen, a senior in high school and people often called her a saint She volunteered at the local library, reading to children every Sunday, showing them the wonderful world of reading with a little help from her abilities. The young girl had the wonderful ability to project illusions of what she saw in books in front of the children to keep them interested in reading it. She worked wonders with the children and was loved by most of the staff as well as her local community, no one would ever suspect that she would be the first victims of a man named Bloodfang.
He appeared out of nowhere, grabbing her firmly by the waist and arms, dragging her to his lair with not that much trouble. While during the journey he stopped a few times and she went under tortures that she never thought she would, though what horrified her most was that he wasn’t done with her yet. By the time the Mirror mancer saw her, she was already decorated with wounds, cuts mainly from his horrible claws, and her white tank top was starting to soak through with blood from a laceration on her ribs. Her entire body looks like she got into a fight was in bad shape she would need to see a doctor within the next few hours to make sure her wounds did not get infected.
It wasn’t likely she would make it that long for the massive wolf man had other plans for her as he chained the girl to the wall by her neck. He then bound her hands behind her back with rope, just so she wouldn’t be able to pus him away when he decided to try to mate with her. She only whimpered a little as he ran his hand over her thigh, thumb lightly stroking across her skin.
A pair of cold red eyes stared down at her with an amused look, digging his claw into her thigh. He drew the claw into his mouth after she started crying out in pain and licked the blood off of the tip.
“Pretty little one, time to play tasty time,” Bloodfang told his victim, licking her sticky blood off of his lips. “We are going to see what part of your body is tastiest. Legs, torso, or neck, Alas theres so many choices.”
”PLEASE SOMEBODY! PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!” The girl screeched, another sob heaving from her chest.
When the horrified scream from the terrified girl tore through her eardrums, Sapphire now knew it was time for her to interfere. She had made an exit portal in her car just a several blocks away from this location in the back of her car. The mistress of darkness had already informed Gawain of her condition after she teleported how incredibly weak she was since she was teleporting her max distance and had given him a quick instruction on how to drive a car. Silently, Sapphire prayed the boy would not get them both killed.
The layout of the factor was simple, there was a massive area where the machines used to be at, and there was store room, which Bloodfang had made his own torture chamber. In that room there were two doors, one to get into from the factory floor and one to get into the offices. The one problem was that there were two ways out, one was the main front door, which Sapphire used, but she was so stealthy the already distracted wolf man did hear it. There was also a fire exit in a small area in the office break room, problem was it had an alarm on it that neither Sapphire, nor Gawain knew if it worked.
As much as Sapphire hated it, they would have to leave that uncertainty up to Gawain to figure out as she attempted to distract Bloodfang long enough for Gawain and the girl to get out of there. One of Bloodfang various stacked barrels suddenly went crashing down as if pushed by some unseen force. Well, mostly unseen, from her hidden spot in the shadows, Sapphire had managed to push the barrel over with her abilities, leaving no trace of a location whatsoever. She had also managed to bask the air in various scented candle scents, leaving the candles burning as she dumped the barrel. It would help muddle up her scent so Bloodfang would have a hard time smelling her once he got into the room.
A small smirk crept on Sapphire’s face when the male came storming out of storeroom to see his barrel had bee knocked over. He looked enraged, like he was going to kill someone and for a moment Sapphire wondered why this was she didn’t think the barrel was important this when she saw the barrel had burst open to reveal a dead body of a girl around Ruby’s age laying on the ground. The smell hit Sapphire first and she wrinkled her nose in disgust. The corpse’s eyes were filled with fear as if showing her terrible last moments before Sapphire’s very eyes. Bile rose in the woman’s throat and her hands clenched at her sides in anger. A child? What right did he have to kill a child?! This child was defenseless and he just tore her apart, look at these gashes all over her stomach, the child had no chance to defend herself! What is wrong with him? Did our laws mean nothing to this monster? Sapphire thought to herself angrily.
“Come on out Pride, I know its you.” Bloodfang laughed, stalking around his lair with uncertainty. He knew it was Sapphire from the fact that she knew him so well and in his mind he figured it must have been her doing all those things to him
“Hello Lust, I see you are breaking our rules again. As if this is any different than your normal conduct.” Sapphire’s voice was filled with a malice and hatred that was seldom heard by anyone. As Bloodfang moved, Sapphire did too, making sure to stick downwind of him and in the shadows.
“Don’t I always? You know you love it.” Bloodfang told her in a oddly seductive way. “Hows Wrath? I hope she didn’t mind our last visit to much. She’s tasty you know? Your baby sister is too, but in more of a sweet little candy sort of way.”
“Tasty hmm? Well I am about to give you a taste of something else if you do not mind mind. It involves several things you enjoy, combat, blood and maybe some shots of a beautiful woman, how would you like that?” Sapphire asked, keeping the horrid rage creeping up inside her. She shouldn’t show as much emotion as she did earlier, if she did, then Bloodfang would have her right where he wanted her.
“Haven’t had a fight with you in a long time this should be fun.” The madman grinned, stalking around, trying desperately to catch her scent.
Sapphire hoped at that very moment that Gawain was getting the prisoner out of the binds she was in so that he could give the darkness user some sort of signal so she could get the hell out of there. She may be the perfect mistress of Darkness, but even she had a hard time fighting Bloodfang, especially if they fought face to face, hopefully they wouldn’t have to.
OOC: Since I’m playing as Bloodfang, you shall play as Stella! Think terrified girl.
Gawain knew the layout of the building enough by now to find his way to the storage room the screams came from. He winced every time he heard the girl's voice calling for help, and bit his lips to keep from cursing aloud. That bastard.
Sapphire was out there, drawing his attention away from his victim. Gawain never would have thought one day he would be worried for his creepy older sister. She could handle the situation by herself. She should be able to buy him time.
There was no mirror in the storage room, but there was one in one of the offices; Gawain landed silently on his feet as he stepped out of it, and ran to the door. It was not locked. As soon as he stepped inside, he could see broken glass on the floor. There has been a mirror in there too, and Bloodfang had shattered it. Damn.
The girl looked up, eyes wide with fear, and Gawain held his finger to his mouth, motioning her to stay quiet. She did, but she still whimpered in pain. The young knight was by her side in a moment, working on the chain wrapped around her neck.
"'tis okay" he murmured "all gonna be okay, I've got you. We're gettin' you out of here, now." the chains clattered as they came loose, and he didn't have time to worry about that; she fell to her knees, and let out a small cry of pain. Gawain caught her the best he could, knife already in his hand to cut the ropes around her wrists.
"All right, we're done here" he muttered, looking at her "Can you... darn, no you can't walk." she shook her head, arms already wrapped around his neck holding on with all her strength, and Gawain lifted her up, listening to the sounds of the fight from the hall outside. "Okay, calm down. Here we go."
After stalking around some more, Bloodfang eventually caught the scent of the darkness manipulator. As he turned toward her location her let out a sinister laugh, his eyes filled with hunger. The girl had interrupted his meal, now she was going to ether need to die, or become a meal herself. All of the Lupin sisters had a sort of taste to them, Emerald's of course being the most divine for his taste buds, but he wondered how her darker older sibling tasted.
"Mmm, Sapphire Lupin, I wonder if you taste like dark chocolate, melting down my throat." The male pondered aloud as he bull rushed towards the spot where the darkness manipulator was located.
Suddenly, his face collided with a large thick tendril of darkness, smashing him across the nose, stopping him in his tracks. A yowl of pain escaped his lips, backing up from the spot he was headed, holding his nose. Blood spurted from the broken thing and he stared down at it with anger burning in his eyes.
"You'll pay for that you bitch!" Bloodfang roared, though his nose being broken made him sound like some sort of cartoon character.
A sophisticated laugh echoed in the room, from the shadows as the male stared down at his hand covered in his own blood. Sapphire Lupin, stared at the surprised and indignant male from the shadows, blue eyes focusing on him.
"Aww what did little puppy have someone hit his face? That's what he gets for being a bad dog!" Sapphire laughed maniacally, before her voice seemingly came from somewhere else. It would seem Sapphire had set up some sort of microphone system in the males little lair, making her voice sound like it was coming from different places at once. And with the candles burning, this was a super sensed wolf mans worst nightmare.
It was then the mistress of darkness noticed that Bloodfang just happened to be standing under the towers of barrels he had stacked up, no doubt filled with some sort of horrifying thing. The oldest of the Lupin's smiled, focusing her ability on the the stack of barrels, pushing a few out with her darkness tendrils causing them to topple forward. About 20 huge steel drum barrels came toppling down on Bloodfang as he let out a roar of obscenities. The air was suddenly filled with dust around the barrels and as the dust began to clear the barrels did not move.
Good, now Gawain could get the girl out of here and we can leave.
Gawain heard Bloodfang howl in pain. It sounded dangerously close.
>>"Aww what did little puppy have someone hit his face? That's what he gets for being a bad dog!"
That almost made him smirk. Sapphire had guts, when it came to facing a monster. The girl held on to him with an almost painful grip, and she was trembling badly.
"'tis okay, we're going now" he muttered, leaving the room in a hurry, running down the corridor, careful not to cause her any more pain than he was just by moving her. He couldn't take her back the way he came; he could take things into the mirrors, but his powers couldn't handle another person. That left the back door as an option, and her really hoped it wouldn't be locked.
It was.
Cursing under his breath Gawain headed for the nearest office, setting the girl down as he examined the window. It was old, and stuck as hell, and made a horrible screeching sound when he finally managed to open it. It seemed to echo down the hall, but it might just have been his imagination acting up on adrenaline.
"C'mon, we gotta hurry" he said, helping the girl stand by the window as he climbed out. They were on the ground floor, it was an easy jump to make, but he knew she wouldn't be able to catch herself so he turned around and waited for her to jump. "It's okay, I'll catch you."
Her weight pushed them both down onto the ground, but didn't really hurt him (let alone break his ribs; unhurt ribs were always a plus). Gawain pulled himself to his feet and lifted her again, heading for the car.
If Gawain thought he was in the clear, he would be dead wrong, a horrible roar echoed down the road and if Gawain turned around, he would see Bloodfang charging at them in full force. The male was slow though, so a steady pace of running would be able to outrun the behemoth. It would seem that he somehow healed, but how? This couldn't be focussed on too deeply though for the monster tore after them with a vengeance planing on having his meal one way or another. And who knows maybe he would even have seconds.
"Foolish boy! Give me back my meal! Or you will end up just like Pride!" The male called out to Gawain, howling in rage. His Blood red eyes showed hunger and anger at the same time, but there was almost a small smile in his eyes that showed he believed he had won. If He had indeed disposed of Sapphire, he very well could have won.
Meanwhile, back at the factory Sapphire Lupin lay on the floor, bloody from a wound to her chest. Darkness seeped from her wounds as those blue eyes stared up at the celing, looking far away in their glance.
When the next roar reached their ears, it sounded dangerously close. Gawain didn't bother to look back; the scared little scream from the girl was proof enough that they had a monster on their heels. That left only one thing to do - RUN - and only one question to ask: Where the hell is Sapphire?
Reaching the car Gawain dropped the girl, leaving her to lean against the side door or get in if she could, and tore open the door to the driver's seat, where he had leaft his weapon.
All nice and shiny, except for one thing: Master Archer Sir Gawain only had one arrow. The one he wanted to use for his last prank. Well, this'll have to do...
By the time he spun around, he already had the arrow on the string, and drew the bow, pointing the silver head straight at Bloodfang.
"Go to hell."
Now, had this been a monster movie, the arrow would have flown straight, would have pierced the monster's black heart, and that would have been the end of it. Sadly enough, this was no movie. Reality sucks, that way.
The arrow buried itself deep into Bloodfang's side, somewhere under his ribs. Gawain didn't linger to watch.
Toppling once the arrow hit, Bloodfang let out a roar of pain, clutching at his side. Blood started to pool around the spot and he groaned in pain, an arrow to the side being enough to stop the behemoth. But what fun would that be if that was all he got after all he had done. Suddenly, two darkness tendrills erupted from the ground and wrapped around his legs, he let out a pained howl as they broke both of his legs.
"That, was for Ruby, " A cold voice said, as Sapphire appeared from the alleyway near the factory. The girl' chest was bleeding, seeping out darkness as it did so, her face showed that she was clearly exhausted and looked like she was about to pass out, but she didn't care. This was her revenge and repentance.
A tendril wrapped around his wrist and with pressure and a quick movement snapped it. "That was for the girl you captured today and the young woman's corpse I found in that barrel." The other wrist was snapped. "This was for breaking my rules in and out of the labs." Sapphire's voice started to get weaker but she did not waver as she walked steady closer to the monster who was all but squealing in pain.
Tiny tendrils then cut the males body to make him look similar to the girl he just wounded and then a much larger one erupted from Sapphires darkness spewing chest and pressed the arrow even farther into him as well as piercing his gullet with its own tip. "That is for Emerald and for Helios, the boy you drained of all his blood and drank it in order to gain a brief healing factor while you left me in that dog food factory. You may heal from these wounds but you will not forget that I am your superior."
With the last moments of consciousness she had Sapphire managed to teleport herself to the exit portal inside of the car before loosing consciousness. All the darkness Sapphire used caused her to pass out, her body unable to handle the strain of staying conscious after that. Not only that but she was running on pure adreneline, if she wasnt, Sapphire wouldn't have been able to stay awake past the first break. Bloodfang in the meantime lost conscious from the bloodless and all was quite.
The whole day seemed to have turned into a nightmare, or the real-life counterpart of a seriously creepy horror movie. And although the main villain was down for the moment, and the heroes got away with (most of) their life... ... the terror was far from over.
Gawain needed to drive home. And he needed to do so with no previous experience, or help from his two passengers, one of whom was unconscious and the other in shock.
This is not how horrir movies oughta end.
Most of the drive home was one constant string of curses, and all in all, it turned out to be more terrifying than the fight itself. Fighting gawain was used to. Driving a car, not so much...
C'mon Sir Gawain, don' be a wuss. Every 16-year-old losed can do this...
Finding the way back to the Mansion was another fun part of the mission. Gawain was vaguely aware of road signs, and he was quite good at telling the general direction (he had to be, since he was used to traveling in mirrors); he was quite in a hurry too, and 'hurry' naturally included not stopping for red lights (or anything else), since he was not quite sure he would be able to start moving again once the car stopped.
And anyway, after all he'd done lately, running a few red lights was just something he'd have to live with.
It seemed like the evening stretched into eternity, and he was pretty sure they would be on the road forever when he finally managed to pull up to the Mansion gates wihtout busting through them. Cutting the engine, Gawain exhaled a breath he had been holding for the past two and a half hours, and banged his head on the steering wheel.
"Unbe-friggin'-lievable."
F*** Danger Room sessions. I gotta learn to drive first.
******
One hour later all was well again.
The girl was helaed and asleep on one bed; Sapphire was healed and out cold on the other. Gawain was not healed, since he hadn't really been injured, so he was the lucky one to get all the grumbling from DocProf while he waited for the two to wake up. He was sitting on a chair between the two beds, resting his head back against the wall.

Blue eyes slid open as a groan escaped from that sophisticated mouth. Sapphire shifted upwards on the bunk, sitting up with a little bit of difficulty. She glanced over at the girl, noticing she was still mercifully asleep after the events past. Sapphire figured it may be best to take her home after this, hoping the girl would find the whole thing was just a dream. It would be best if she didn’t remember the attack or her imprisonment under Bloodfang, the last thing the world needed to know that there was indeed monsters in the darkness.
“Thank you for dragging me up here Gawain,” Sapphire told the young knight, glancing over at the boy knight. “Looks like you should be knighted for saving the fair damsel.” Sapphire laughed lightly to her own joke.
>>“Thank you for dragging me up here Gawain. Looks like you should be knighted for saving the fair damsel.”
Gawain's eyes that had just drifted closed shot open again at Sapphire's voice, and he moved over to sit by her bed.
"One, I didn't drag your fair *ss up here. I carried you." he said with a light smirk, patting her hand "An' two, I'm already a knight. I certainly didn't do it for that."
He really had no idea why Sapphire was thanking him. He was an adopted Lupin, so she was his sister - his Wednesday Addams caliber creepy, doom-and-gloom older sister - and anyway, Bloodfang was something that needed to be taken care of. Glancing at the oher bed, he saw the girl was still unconscious. Good.
Turning back to Sapphire, he smiled. "I think we did good. Or at least it was worth gettin' our *sses busted for. Mainly yours, that is, warrior lady. How are ya feeling?"

Sapphire laughed lightly at Gawain, finding him highly humorous. It was good to have a sort of knight to protect her fair self especially when she was in the state she was in. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to have him as an adopted sibling, even if he was a heroic soul like her sister.
“I am fine, slightly tired, but fine.” Sapphire told him glancing at the girl that lay on the bed. “The one problem with my abilities is the fact if I use my own inner darkness too much it exhausts me. So by me not only being torn open by that monster but having to use my inner darkness to fend him off, I was bound to black out.”
The mistress of darkness shook her head at her own stupidity if she had just used more of the warehouses shadows against Bloodfang or if she maybe threw one of those candles at she would have been fine. She just couldn’t help but taunting the beast, making him feel like dirt, torturing his mind and his body until there was nothing left. But alas she would not be able to do that, Bloodfang’s physical abilities far surpassed hers and while she would be able to beat him like she did today, it would take far more careful planning on her part.
“I hope the girl thinks that it was all a bad dream, the last thing we need is for the world to know is those of us who lurk in the dark. Or those who fight it. Like that Shred, Character for example, making quite a statement in down town New York by beating up thugs, but how long will they last?” Sapphire asked, feeling a small part of her mind smirk. She knew Shred would last a long time, for Shred was her younger sister and if there was one thing that Sapphire knew, it was the fact she trained her sister well.
"Take it easy, girl" Gawain smiled, sitting back on his chair; he was not hurt, but he was damn exhausted "Ya did more that most people could have. Don' blame yourself."
She probably was. No matter how bad they hurt the monster, by causing him injuries that would have killed a normal person in no time, Gawain was pretty sure bastards of that kind didn't die unless one made sure they did, and that they stayed that way. People of olden days knew something about that.
>>“I hope the girl thinks that it was all a bad dream, the last thing we need is for the world to know is those of us who lurk in the dark. Or those who fight it. Like that Shred, Character for example, making quite a statement in down town New York by beating up thugs, but how long will they last?”
"Let's hope the good guys will last for quite a while" Gawain grinned "Ain't no harm in beatin' up a few thugs, as long as one doesn't go around murderin' them all. Most of them would learn from gettin' their *sses kicked once. Monsters like him, on the other hand..." he frowned, of course meaning Bloodfang by that "yeah, I wouldn't cry for him."
Gawain sighed, closing his eyes again.
"Anyway. I think we showed him today that he ain't invincible."
Sapphire listened to Gawain speak, allowing him to make his speech on how how there were good guy and there were bad guys. In truth, Sapphire really didn't believe in good guys or bad guys. While it was true there were monsters that did not deserve to walk on this earth, such as Bloodfang, but there was no true line between the light and the darkness. In truth, in her mind at least, it was one in the same the darkness and the light and those who fought along side it, could be easilly viewed as the same, fighting for a cause they believed was right.
"It's true, we showed him he was far from invincible, at least this way he will stay away from here for just a little while." Sapphire replied, "Hes going to need time to heal, Helios's blood will take a long time to work."
>>"Hes going to need time to heal, Helios's blood will take a long time to work."
Gawain sighed.
"Just our luck isn't it, for that bastard to have a healing factor." he frowned "How much time do you think we've bought for ourselves?..."
And for everyone else we know.
Gawain was not naive. He knew the wolf had definitely caught his scent this time, not to mention seen his face, and that it would only be a matter of time before he found him, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, and anyone they were in contact with. Sooner or later, they would have to face him again, and get rid of him for good. If they ever wanted their family and friends to be safe.
"Y'know what, don' worry about it now. You need to heal too. And for the moment, you are safe." he looked at Sapphire with a light smile "Don't worry I won't ruin your reputation by tellin' people you are actually all right... for a big sister"he winked.
