The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Slipping out of the restricted Area, Aura saw most of the people in the mall were gone already and that things were still though the sprinklers were now off, which was good. Tossing something in the trashcan near them Aura began to move recalling the layout of the building quite well. "We should head back out the emergency exit" she said to AMber with a smile, it was clear Aura was enjoying this, turn of events. She liked when things got interesting like this.
As they went back down the first floor, an explosion sounded above them, from where they came from. The bomb she had placed in the trashcan was meant as a distraction and As Aura waved for Amber to come with her she quickly hid under the stairwell as she heard several set's of foot steps come their way, police Aura guessed. She hoped the explosion would distract them long enough to keep them occupied.
Glancing out of their hiding place she saw no one had stayed at the stair's. "That's lucky" she muttered to herself, they were almost out she knew, just a little further. "FUn day eh?" she said looking back at her sister. A Little theft never hurt anyone, certainly not the human's. Aura shook her head a moment then continued on through the hallway realized it had hurt several human's to do this, including her theif friend who was likely waking up to hand cuffs about now, they might figure someone was with him, but that would take time aura reasoned with herself.
Amber followed Aura's directions obediently, knowing that her older sister was experienced in this sort of thing and knew far more about what she was doing than Amber herself did. She knew that she really should not be enjoying this. They had just done a bad thing, causing everyone to panic and setting up the jewel thief to take the fall for them. Not to mention the pipe bombs, but she just couldn't help herself. The adrenaline and excitement of the act and then the rush to get out without anyone noticing was just too much fun to ignore. She found herself grinning from ear to ear and feeling vaguely ashamed of it.
The bomb in the trashcan upstairs went off and the sprinklers starting running all over again. Hopefully the bomb would cause any far too curious police to go upstairs to investigate and not bother with a couple of teenage girls down below. They really didn't look like the criminal types, after all. Not only were criminals usually male (possibly a sexist view but still statistically accurate) but they were also mostly a little bit older. Looking like innocent teenagers certainly worked in their favour.
"Fun," Amber agreed, returning Aura's look with a grin of her own. Following Aura into the hallway, she spotted the emergency exit. There were still a few people lined up, with a security guard ensuring that everyone exited the building in an orderly fashion. She knew what to do in this circumstance, lining up just like everyone else and doing her best to stay calm. A little fear was all right anyway, given the situation, but the trick was to not look suspicious. As long as they didn't act unusually there would be no reason for the security guard to suspect them and as long as he didn't suspect them, they would get out fine. Once outside it really wouldn't matter much anyway.
WHen the bomb went off a fresh wave of panic went through the room and many people who remained began to try and push out of the exit's but the guards managed to calm them down and put them in a line. Aura was hoping to avoid the guards entirely. She was sure they would be checked, after all most of the other's did not have large bag's with them. Aura slipped back a few spot's she wanted amber to go out first so that she would not see what was likely to happen. Aura faked nervousness as he watched the line and observed most others were nervous to.
Aura watched as Amber was let past the guard and the next few people went all right as well. The guard looked her over and started to waive her through when he saw her unuseually large bag. Aura ahnded it to him politely and knew what would happon. Like clockwork the man unzipped the bag and looked incide, as he did, aura struck him over the head with a quickly made Aura hammer. He dropped though Aura saw no blood and assumed he was alive. Taking the bag and rezipping it she walke dout.
Exiting she walked a littile way's from the museuam and smiled to ehr sister. "That went well over all" she said glanceing back at the building a few people were still exiting though they were now rushing and pushing out with the guard not able to dictate their exit. "Lot of people in thare" she said rather proud of herself for not stabbing or killing anyone as she had been asked to do. It seemed like a job well done to her. "
