The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Desh plopped herself down on the lush grass of the lawns belonging to the mansion that she now called home. After being invited to stay here by her new friend, Ruby Lupin, she hadn't wasted any time bringing her few belongings here to make herself at home. But she was lonely now. She hadn't seen the fox girl since she had first helped her move in. Now that Desh had nothing but spare time on her hands, she decided that the best thing for her to do would be to go out and get some fresh air, in the hopes that she would meet some new friends while she wasn't in her room. She had thought that it would be easy to fit in here. Where she came from, mutants hid in the shadows. But here, everyone was a mutant. And everyone seemed nice enough. Desh caught a stray lock of her hair as it broke free of the bun she had put it in that morning. She twirled the hair around her fingers, a look of concern crossing her face. Sure, they are all mutants, she thought to herself, but they already all have a place here. Not like me. I don't have a place, even here. The thought made her want to cry, but she refused to do so out in the open. She wanted to make sure she looked happy here. Nobody would approach her if she looked miserable, right? But... What if the one friend she had made was wrong, and she shouldn't have come here? Desh stopped fussing with the hair in her hands. She didn't particularly care if anyone saw her hair getting tangled and windblown as more hair fell out of the bun. She didn't see anyone paying her any attention anyway.

Shana came through the mansion gates and stepped into the mansion where she lived. Though she rubbed her temple recalling what remained of her room. It was probably still a wreck, she had tried to clean it after her first visit with hunter but still much of it was broken. Shana had been gone for most of the previous few days getting help with her issue. She had felt brave and on top of the world. Like no longer could her physical gender hold her back. Then she had gotten back to the mansion and fighting the fear had come back like a firestorm. She kept telling herself it would go away as soon as she completed things with Hunter. The best part was her powers had not chosen to destroy anything all day, she would have to see how long that lasted however.
Shana came back to the mansion to try and get use to being around people. Since she got here she had mostly been hiding in her room. She realized now she had to get out and meet people if she was ever going to get past her fear. This knowledge did not seem to make it easier however. She had met a few good people here like Kai and Kasumi, not that she had seen kasumi around for awhile.
Her long blue hair fluttered in the wind behind her as she looked around, making sure to keep a tight control on her powers. She briefly recalled the time the wagon had gone flying. She could not help but see a rather attractive girl she had never seen before. Fighting back her own fear she approached the girl and quickly said "hello, how are you?" she was trying to meat new people after all hunter had said this was not, what year did he say again? It idd not matter. "Nice day out" she went trying to make small talk.

Desh was surprised to hear a voice beside her. She looked up, to see a girl with bright blue hair standing next to her. She wore a smile on her face, something that Desh was happy to see. Finally, someone to talk to! "Hi!" she said, smiling back at the girl. It seemed like the girl wanted to have an actual conversation, something that she was missing right about now. She lifted herself up off of the ground, so that she was standing next to the other girl. "It really is a nice day out, I agree. Kind of windy, but I like it that way, don't you?" Desh flashed her another smile before looking down at her jeans, to see them covered in grass. She quickly brushed them off, and turned back to face the girl again. "I'm Desh, by the way! Do you live here in the mansions as well?"

"Nice to meet you Desh, My name is Shana. A breeze can feel nice" she agreed as she watched the other girl stand up. " I do actually i have been here about a year now" she said though it was hard to believe she had been here that long already. The Blue haired woman ran a hand through her long hair unsure quite what to say next, she always had trouble with conversations and it was likely because she had stayed away from people for so very long. "have you been her long?" she asked curiously knowing their had been people who lived here for months that she not met or just could not recall.
"Yea i have a lot of trouble with my mutation i can move things with my mind" she said and to demonstrate she looked around, finding nothing useful, she reached in her hand bag and pulled out her keys, then with a little concentration and then rise into the air and began moving them around in a quick circle before using her power to place them back in her hand bag. "Unforteuently, i woke up the other day and my powers decided to to toss my laptop out the window" she said shaking her head a bit. "But what can ya do" she said hoping she was not rambling.

Desh watched in fascination as Shana manipulated the keys with her mind. It was so impressive. She tried not to stare at Shana in awe, instead opting to focus on the questions she had asked. "I've only been here a few weeks. I'm still getting used to everything here. I've been living on the streets since I moved here, so living someone, anywhere, with a bed is a great change," Desh said, hoping she wasn't telling the girl the wrong thing. She had only been here for a few weeks, and living on the streets was something that she did. It hadn't really been so terrible, but being here really was nice. Even if it was a little lonely. "I'm sorry to hear about your laptop. Think it's fixable? And as for what I do... well I turn into a leopard. It's a family thing." She half-shrugged. Growing up with an entire family of shifting mutants had made her power seem ordinary. She was more interested in Shana's power. It sounded so much more exciting! "So how long have you known you were a mutant? If I'm not prying that is!"

"I bet, living on the streets must have been hard" she said, Desh being the second mutant she had met who had been living on the streets. Shana still had trouble understanding how people could do that at all. They had to be stronger people then she was because she knew she could not do it herself. "Yea i know a guy who also lived on the streets for awhile, he can control plants" she said unsure what else to say to the woman, unable to relate to the situation.
"really? that's cool, my parents were not mutants so im unsure if anyone else in my family has a power like mine" she said though she did not know her father really. So she was going off of her mother, but really she had only really met mutants after comming here. "I only met other mutants when i came to america" she said giving voice to her thoughts. "At thirteen my hair started turning blue and things began to float. As for the laptop, im fairly sure it's dead, but don't worry about that" she said dismissively, no need for this girl to worry about such things, shana thought to herself.
