The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sara was slightly reluctant. Her hands squeezed into fists over her legs, not sure what to really think of these directions or how they would do what ever it was he wanted her to do. It actually stirred up a different memory. Instructions that lead to being shackled. The hesitation only lasted a few seconds. Old habbits die hard Sara then obeyed. pressing the padded palms of her hands together and lining her fingers up in her lap.
It was the Upper peninsula of Michigan. It was the first place that Sara felt like she was in control of something. Dry sand would keep their foot prints from ever showing up as it caved in around every step. Water was a quick wash away of any scent. From that day on, no one was going to catch her. (At least not for several years.) This was where she was in her element most. Where she was first in her element and where she realized she had control of something.
Then with the feeling of control, came power. She remembered thinking back then, if she was caught, then there was nothing that they could do to her that hadn't already been done. At the time, she didn't understand what Ayesac's touch that he provided would truly mean. Only that she had nothing to loose, and everything else to gain. Even if she yet understood what everything else would be.
While at first Sara seemed reluctant to follow his instructions she didn’t hesitate for long. After giving her time to enjoy the feeling of safety and security that the memory was bringing her he said, “Good, now just relax. From now on whenever you hold your hands that way you’ll be taken back to that memory and all the feelings of safety that come with it.”
“Whenever you feel stressed of worried and need to relax you’ll now easily be able to access the state of mind you were just in by holding your hands like that and feel safe and relaxed. It’s that feeling that I hope to use to return your sight to you quickly after using your new ability,” he explained, “That should be enough for today. I just want you to practise accessing the calm and safe state of mind you had here today until you can do it easily and naturally.”
Sara brought herself out and away from the memories smoothly. She sat quietly thinking on, and taking in the information about how this pose was going to help her return to this state of mind. She subtly wondered if the feeling of touch with her fingertips and palms would do the same thing or a similar thing.
Sara leaned back on her tail bone and her hands moved to support herself behind her seat at the floor. her legs shifted under herself and then she stood. Her tail unwound from around her hips as she did this so that the tip curved up just behind her heals. She didn't know how she felt about this progress. yeah progress had been started but there wasn't a feeling of completion. For either missions.
"Thank you." Sara dusted the back of her pants then realized that all she was really doing was moving the fabric away from sticking to her fur. The floors were clean. "I Assume that I can make an appointment for a second session with the lady at the front desk?"
Rising to his feet almost as gracefully as Sara Hunter smiled and nodded. “Just speak to Ellie and she’ll arrange another session for you sometime next week,” he told her as he walked with her back to the foyer.
There was little doubt that his sessions with Sara would be interesting. She was keeping her cards close to her chest and there was a lot more to the situation surrounding her power growth than she was telling him. However prying would be unlikely to yield any answers. She’d open up to him when she was ready, if she ever is ready.
Telling secrets was a necessity. As it was Sara had told a lot more of her story than she had intended to when first walking into the door. Hunter hadn't given Sara a reason to fear him today but the fact that he'd come back changed was what scared her. It was the same reason why her friend Luke, had so much trouble keeping her trust. No matter how much she enjoyed his company, unpredictability in a person scared her more than the unpredictability in a fight.
He escorted her to the front desk. Mean while Sara took more mental notes of what she could see around her. Sara nearly forgot to look at the day and time for the next week that she was signing up. Then there was nothing to do but walk home and prepare answers for what ever questions Slate might have.
Hunter watched Sara walk out of the building. She’d seemed distracted as she left, like she had something on her mind. It wasn’t surprising. They dredged up some painful memories today and she would have to come to terms with them. He just hoped the exercise he had shown her would help.
Heading back inside Hunter took stock of his first week back. He’d not seen many old faces but had met several new ones. His attempt to help people had started well as he had made progress with most. All in all it had been a good week. He hoped for many more.
