The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

His fake smile widened into a genuine one on it's very own. “I guess that's true for me, as well. Home was good, but I've learned so much since coming here. Even if I don't get compliments in quite the same vein as you.” Kai carefully consoled his expression, so that he looked sad and bewildered, or at least something to that effect. “Maybe I'm not pretty after all,” he confessed.
He met her gaze, and then couldn't keep from bursting out in laughter. “You made me break character!” he accused, “Though, since I'm a terrible actor, I guess that's okay.”
Kai said he wasn’t pretty. Henrietta blinked and then began to laugh at the same time he did. He accused her of making him break character. The brunette smiled and shook her head. “I’m terribly sorry. Don’t worry though, I’m a horrible actress. You could probably beat me in an acting contest. And as to you being pretty, that’s good. Usually I think of girls as being pretty, not boys. You are cute though, so don’t worry.” She spun on the kitchen stool a whole turn and ended up facing Kai again. Henri didn’t mean it in a flirty way, just an honest one.
Kai blushed a real blush. He hadn't really been digging for compliments, though it was nice to get one. And for something that he couldn't control, like the way he looked. "Why Henrietta, you tug at my heart strings," he said playfully as she spun in a circle. "You see, I've already been told that Cam is the good looking twin."
Kai absent mindedly juggled a pair of apples. He was bad at juggling more than two things, but always thought it looked fancy when people who were really good did it. So he practiced from time to time.
The brunette smiled when she saw the blush on his face. He explained that his brother was considered better looking. Henrietta’s brows knit together in puzzlement. After a moment, she began to speak. “Well, whoever said that is really insensitive. I find that everyone has a quality that makes them attractive. It’s hard to find in some people, but you have very nice eyes. That’s easy to see.” Henri looked at the boy. “And though it has nothing to do with your appearance, you’re a very nice person.”
Henrietta watched Kai juggle. “And you’re also a great juggler.” She laughed. “I can’t juggle for the life of me.”
His concentration broke and the fruit tumbled chaotically to the ground. But Kai just laughed. "It was supposed to be a joke. My twin and I are identical. As for the juggling," he sighed dramatically and cast a forlorned glance at the escaping fruit, "Sometimes I think I missed my calling to join the circus. But then this happens and I realize that I really suck at juggling. At least when it comes to trying to do it with more than two things."
He bent down to retrieve his impromptu juggling props. "But if you like, I can teach you how to do it. It's not terribly hard, once you get the hang of it." He offered her one of the slightly-bruised apples, thinking how much more they'd be damaged if he had dropped softer fruits. Like peaches for example. Those would have made a big mess...
The brunette smiled crookedly. “Just because you’re considered identical, doesn’t mean you look exactly the same. I went to school with identical twins back in Springfield. A couple of girls. They did look similar, but not too much. Most people could tell them apart." Henrietta spun around on her stool once again and listened as Kai told her that he felt like he missed his calling at the circus. She smirked. “Well, I’m sure there will be time to realize that dream in the future.”
An apple was passed to the girl and she caught it. Henri lifted an eyebrow as she looked down at the dented fruit. Looking back on the boy, she hopped off the stool. “All right. Help me out then. What do I do? Especially considering the fact that you need more than one thing to juggle, right?” The brunette tilted her head slightly to one side as she inspected the marks on the apple.
