The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Skoliro grinned despite himself at there surprise. He strode to the middle of the room where his meditating stump was. Sitting on it cross legged, he watched their reactions. Keith seemed beside himself with joy; but Iris seemed a little in shock. Vampire bats? But of course, that, and a little bit of everything else. Don't worry, they won't bite though, I won't let them. As if cued a bat flew over and landed on Skoliro's shoulder. She was screeched quietly to him, but it wasn't just at random, and if you didn't know better she could have been talking to him. He turned to her and locked eyes, then looked back at the two. This is Eve. She was the first bat to come to my call. Before you ask, I didn't name them all, they all have their own name's, I'm just translating them. As suddenly as she came she was off, making a point to turn and snap up a mosquito. It was probably one of the last insects left in the room. That meant a field trip might be necessary.

Iris moved off to the side, while the guys talked, her interested focused on the creatures she knew were hiding in the shadows. At first she hesitated, but only for a moment. She closed her eyes, and pictured a black stone, the onyx in her back. Along with the usual burning sensation, a feeling of unusal confidence washed over her. It showed outwardly by her hair changing from blonde to black, and her eyes, turned as black as night.
Now the shadows became brightened to her eyes. All around hidden creatures appeared. A wide smile lit her face as she watched them, most unaware that they were no longer hidden.
Skoliro was slightly distracted when he felt, or more or less heard, the vibrations coming for Iris. He peered around Keith just in time to see her hair and eyes change to black, and he was somewhat curious to what she was doing. Suddenly he blinked and looked back at the guy standing in front of him. Matrix? Did you name it yourself or does it have relation to the movie.? He was just messing' with him, after all, if they where going to be living in the say room the would have to entertain each other some of the time. Doesn't matter really, as long as it's not between this stump and the outside wall. Skoliro patted the stomp he was perched on.
Hehe, named it myself. Cause it'll use different energy depending on what i need it for, so i just called it a matrix.
*'So long as its not between this stump or the outside wall'* *Sounded fair. Looking around he spotted a perfect place across from SKoliro and started weaving threads of energy. At first it resembled a fast flowing mist, then alarge blob of gunk, and finally took the form of a somewhat four poster bed. Smiling he turned back to the others.*

Iris was too busy watching to realize she was watched as well. Her attention was focused on the bats clinging to the.....well, she wasn't sure if it was the cieling or part of a tree. Either way, they were upside down, and watching her. She got as close as she could. Then, for no real reason, she decided to do a handstand, so that the bats looked right-side up. They're reactions amused her for a few moments, until she noticed an owl watching her.
She turned back right-side up. The owl blinked lazily. It's face was shaped like a heart. It shifted its feet slightly, then hooted quietly at her. She grinned widely.
"Nice cast of characters you've got here, Sko," she announced, turning as she spoke.
But as she turned, a series of flashes effectively flash-blinded her. She stepped backward in surprise, and tripped, landing on her rear. Completely surprised, she deactivated her stone's power. Everything returned to normal brightness, except for the spots dancing in front of her eyes. It took a minute or so for her to realized that it was only Keith's energy mist glowing.
Skoliro was watching Iris watch the bats. What a complected circle of curiousness this formed, him spying on her, spying on the bats who there for spied her. Out of no where she turned and did a handstand to see them up-right, that was odd. Suddenly she fell, seeming surprised by the matrix forming and he chuckled quietly to himself. Iris was definitely a jumpy one. All done.
Turning Skoliro saw the newly formed object, shaped somewhat like a four-poster bed. Good taste."Nice cast of characters you've got here, Sko," He blinked at the name, somewhat shocked to here it. No one had ever taken the time to call him something other then his name or 'freak'. Th-thanks. Skoliro looked down tears welling in his eyes. Crap. Just what he wanted to do in front of friends.

"Yeah, sorry 'bout that. The glowing matrix-thing sort of blinded my night vision. Nothing big." She blinked, trying to clear the last of the spots in front of her eyes. She made a show of brushing herself off, trying to hide her embarassment. Then her curiosity took over again as she bent to examine what Keith had created.
"How cool...." she murmured. She looked over her shoulder at Keith. "Can I touch it?" A silly question maybe, but for some reason she was expecting an electric shock, or something similar.
Skoliro continued to slouch on the stump, blinking away tears. Having friends, human friends, well, not completely human, but still, was a new thing. The only one who had cared about him up till then was his mother. Mother. A tear escaped his rapidly blinking eyes and streaked down his cheek. He reached up and pulled the chain from around his neck. Holding the locket with as much care as a mother would hold her child he stared down at the long since unblinking eyes of his own parent, his only parent... Mother.

Iris continued her inspecition at close range, walking completely around the 'bed' Keith had created. She straightened and started to say something, then paused. Skoliro was hunched over something turned mostly away from her, but she still saw a tiny sparkle in the light. She moved closer to see what he was looking at, a picture of a woman. There was another glimmer on his cheek. The human side of him was showing.
"She's pretty," Iris said quietly, wondering to herself why the tears had appeared.
*looking across to iris he smiled* Sure, it wont hurt ya or anything. Just dont use your powers on it, it may react.
*As he heard a stifled sniff he turned to see Skoliro still on the stump as iris bent over slightly talking to him. He blushed slightly as he remembered he had walked in while the two of them were talking in the kitchen and wondered now if he had interupted something*
Skoliro snapped the locket shut when he heard Iris's voice. He turned away from her and closed his eyes, trying to calm his nerves. What had she even said? Oh yes, She's pretty. That was the understatement of the year in his mind. Th-thanks...

(OOC: No worries. )
Iris nodded and backed away a step to give Skoliro space. She decided it wise not to be nosy; if he felt like sharing, he would. If not, it wasn't her place to pry. Everyone had their secrets.
She smiled at Keith and shrugged, and then turned her attention back to the room.
"Well, you fellas sure have a nice setup here. Guess I should consider re-decorating myself. The rooms are kind of drab on their own." Of course there was no matching the mini forest, but a few plants would sure make a difference. She smiled at the thought of a shopping trip that didn't include a feed store or a vet visit. "I wonder if Miss Tipper would mind a new paint job?"
Idly she wondered why Keith had sudddenly turned a bit red in the face.
She felt a funny buzz at her waist; her cell phone was letting her know she had a message. She spared a quick look. Then she smiled at the boys.
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid I have got to run. It was a pleasure meeting both of you." She bowed slightly. "I hope to see you both later." She glanced around one more time, and made her way back out into the hallway, shutting the door quietly behind her.
