The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raina was excited. Today she and Juka were auditioning roles for their mutant musical: West Side Story. A modern take on the classic 1950's musical, West Side Story was a Romeo and Juliet style of story about the American Tony of the Jets gang and the Sharks Puerto Ricoan beauty Maria. Naturally Tony and Maria fall in love despite the rivaling gangs and following the Romeo and Juliet story, Tony dies.
However Raina and Juka were putting a different spin on it, with Juka as the lead Tony; the Jets and Sharks would be a group of Humans (Jets) and mutants (sharks). The show would feature mutant abilities and hopefully not only be a great team builder for mansion residences, and if she was lucky something they could eventually perform for the general public.
She'd need all the major and minor characters but she also needed set designers, musicians, sound, and stage hands. She'd sent out an email two weeks ago and there were posters all over the place. Today was the audition day. She and Juka would watch everyone read a few lines and sing a little song. She knew not all of the mansion could sing and dance but she was confident in her ability as well as Juka's to teach them.
She got her scripts ready and watched the clock. Any minute now.
Juka was excited. This was the first official play that he would be a part of and, a performer at heart, figured it was far overdue. Raina, darling woman that she was, had offered him the lead and he had graciously accepted. Together they, and hopefully a cast of others, would make a masterpiece and if all went well the crowd would eat it up. Maybe, if he was lucky, he might even use this as promotion for his band which was his true passion in life but never at the expense of Raina's vision.
For once Juka opted to wear something practical instead of his usual flowing skirts and stiletto heels. Pants were in the cards today, though of course seeing as how he was Juka Miami, simple pants would not suffice. The pants were white and simple, of obvious high quality and a white lace shirt to go with them. On his shoulders he wore a long green cloak. Not only was it something not many would wear, in public or otherwise, but it seemed appropriate to the theme of the play.
Juka walked confidently to the theater room, stopping every so often to tell one of the students about the auditions and that they simply must come and try their hand at acting. Finally he arrived with a wave and a bow. "Raina, dearest, you must be positively exuberant about starting on your epic. We will make this a play to remember."
Koga stood on the stage with a chair to his left and toward the edge of the stage and a look at the director and the assistant director and lead. I didn’t hear about the auditionsss until today and thisss is the only thing I had prepared, I really don’t have a preference on role. Sssso um, here we go. Willam Ssshakessspear Sssonet eighteen. clearing his throat he looked down and took a deep breath. When he rose his head again it was with a look of awestruck admiration.
Ssshall I compare thee to a sssummer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Koga took a step toward the chair where his eyes were focused where the vision he had settled on would be. His hand rose and out stretched to his invisible beloved.
Rough windsss do ssshake the darling budsss of May, And sssummer'sss leassse hath all too ssshort a date: Sssometime too hot the eye of heaven ssshinesss, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; Koga spoke in cool flattering tones of affection, lending a sweet and soft vocal to the typically coarse and rigid tones that Shakespear was delivered.
And every fair from fair sssometime declinesss, By chance, or nature'sss changing courssse un- trimm'd; But thy eternal sssummer ssshall not fade, Nor lossse posssesssion of that fair thou ow'ssst, Nor ssshall death brag thou wander'ssst in hisss ssshade, A small smile lights Koga’s features as if his flattering is winning of the resistant maiden.
When in eternal linesss to time thou grow'ssst; Ssso long asss men can breathe, or eyesss can sssee, Ssso long livesss thisss, and thisss givesss life to thee. By now Koga had subtly snuck his way all the way to the chair and his tones became softer still a lover’s whisper.
He closes his eyes for a moment and does a slight bow.
and for my musical piece I think you will recognize Riff’s sung piece Cool. pulling a pair of thin drun sticks from his back pocket and spinning the chair in front of him around he starts tapping out the jazzy beat that accompanies the song.
Boy, boy, crazy boy, Get cool, boy! Got a rocket in your pocket, Keep coolly cool, boy! Don't get hot, 'Caussse man, you got Sssome high timesss ahead. Take it ssslow and Daddy-O, You can live it up and die in bed! throught out the whole song when Koga has a moment and a refrain from the dumming he will kick or spin the chair and always end up sitting back in it. leaning back in it just to have it hit the ground on a loud beat.
Boy, boy, crazy boy! Ssstay loossse, boy! Breeze it, buzz it, easssy doesss it. Turn off the juice, boy! Go man, go, But not like a yo-yo ssschoolboy. Just play it cool, boy, Real cool!
At the end of the song He stands up and bows. Waiting to see what they have to say to him.
