The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

When the song wound down and the scores came on the screen again Sam nodded his head and smirked, he rocked drunk or sober, the television and all it’ glory never lies. Turning his attention to Raina who was standing up and bowing to him calling him an epic performer, ”That I am!” he said before he busted out laughing when Raina fell on her backside laughing. She seemed unharmed and egger to continue the night.
Reaching down and picking up his drink he took a sip, ”Raina I was the mayor of cougar town for a time, they couldn’t resist my charm or my dance moves!” he did his hip Elvis hip waggle and then set his drink down. Flashing her his one eyed blink he smiled and reached down to help her up, ”Well, there are a few things we could do!”
Pointing with his free hand he pointed to the pool table, ”I could beat you at pool, or maybe you would prefer to lose at something else?” Sam looked back to her and smiled, ”We could always hop in the hot tub, never gets used enough, but it’s your call you’re the guest here.” walking over toward the hot tub he checked the water and nodded it was warm enough.

A hot tub. That was something Raina hadn't thought of in a long time and something she missed. "Sam... I smell like a cooked lobster in a hot tub." she handed him her glass. "I'll need at the very least another drink before I do that." she grinned but she was serious. The idea of the hot tub sounded great but she'd never be brave enough to be a mermaid for no reason other than hanging out with a friend without another stiff drink.
"Im not very good at Pool... only played it twice." she eyed the pool table and sauntered over to it. She picked up a cue off the wall and tried to spin it in her fingers dropping it. She laughed. "Maybee if you he-lp me I wont be so baaad." ohhh yah. That was the alcohol.
Good old Raina, greeter, teacher, x-man, and over all bad influence on minors.

Sam laughed at her cooked lobster comment before he remembered she pulled a under the sea and went Disney. He smirked and then shook his head, she defiantly didn’t’ need another drink from the way it seemed. She dropped the pool stick and again Sam laughed, ”Maybe, I am a teacher after all!” Sam said as he too walked over to the pool table, slow but steady, he defiantly slammed a few drinks in a short period of time, that or he had lost his tolerance for his drink, which might have been possible since he didn’t really have a chance to drink anything in Romania.
”Let’s see if I can get you playing like a pro,” Sam said as he reached down and got her pool stick and rose to quickly add that to the current level of alcohol in his system and you had the makings of a pretty good head rush, one that was big enough to force the room to swim. Slamming the end of the pool cue onto the ground Sam found his balance and regained his composure. It was a moment before he could look at Raina, ”I’ll break then show you how to hit them!” Sam said with a smile as he walked over to the end of the pool table and looked to the cue ball with his good eye and then adjusted it slightly.
”Here we…” CRACK! ”Go!” the ball was hit and already spreading the other balls on the table. A stripe went in followed by a solid and another stripe. He smirked and acted like he planned that out. ”Good start me thinks” Sam said a little slower than usual.
”Here!” Sam said as he walked over to Raina and then guided her to the table placing the stick in her hand. ”Gotta get down low and plan your shot but when you have it you have to crack it.” his next move was something he usually did on a date it was his way to close the distance with a girl in a no threatening manner.
With out any thought Sam stepped behind Raina and placed both hands around hers and by extension the pool stick. Then leaning forward his chest onto her back, he asked, ”How about we aim for that colored ball sitting on the edge of the pocket?”

Raina let Sam help her up and she struggled to find her balance by leaning on the pool table. Her brain was screaming at her to behave, go to her room, take a lot of aspirin with water and go to bed... but she hadn't had this much fun in so long! Sure she'd had romance, excitement, adventure, and a lot of pain too... but fun? Pure unadulterated fun?
She gave Sam a toothy smile as he fumbled around but her head and heart started to race the moment he came up behind her closing the gap between their two bodies. All she could think about was how much heat was coming off an icy guy's body. Her heart was pounding in her ears. She tried to breathe in smooth and even but in truth without his touch the room was still spinning.
She took a swipe at the ball and managed to hit it a little ways knocking a few around but not sinking any. She turned around to face him wobbling a bit feeling cross eyed. "How was that?"

His hands loosened around hers as she pulled back and went for the ball. The ball missed its mark and went off in another direction hitting a few balls around and not doing much. His hands left hers so she could turn around to face him. ”It was… not bad for a beginner.” Sam said as he eyed the balls on the table then turned his attention to Raina who was a few inches from his face.
His eye locked with hers for a moment then he blinked. Feeling the temptation and the alcohol beckoning him to lean forward another inch or so he somehow managed to resist. She was drunk and he was… drunk but still it wasn’t right, they were both dealing with a previous relationship and she was as far as he knew still involved with Luke, a friend and fellow X. His stomach churned as his mind ran through several different scenarios all of them involved him regretting something.
His mind was made up he was going to pull away and get back to the game… but if he had decided this why was his face leaning forward and his eye locked on Raina’s lips. Feelings it seemed from the last few months had been bubbling and clawing at the surface to get out all they needed was a little alcohol to set them free. Leaning forward pool stick in hand giving him balance he waited for something to happen.
She was close to him and if she wanted to all she had to do was say, ‘Sam,’ or ‘we shouldn’t do this’ and he would leave it at that and suggest another round of drinks before he figured out where he was sleeping for the night.

ooc: Im having a of trouble with my keyboard today. IT BF even tried to fix it with no luck. Something is stuck so a lot of my attempts to write correctly result in è or È despite language change attempts. So forgive me for not using quotations etc. Last time this happened it went on for a while so I cannot really afford to wait for it to go back to normal.
also, Im getting such a kick out of his eye statements as opposed to his eyes. lolà
ic: Her head was bobbing. She did not realize how close their faces had gotten. It would be so easy to just cross that line. To really have some fun. To not care what people thought. In the back of her mind she thought of Martin and Garrett, and eventually Luke. Did she really want to be that kind of girl.
Part of her was tired of being the nice girl. Guys were always breaking her heart. Her whole life always revolved around whatever guy she was seeing at the moment. It was time someone followed her around like a lost puppy. Yes she felt vindicated now she was going to take matters into her own hands! Be master of her own fate! Starting with Sam.
She leaned forward. She was going to kiss him alright and it was going to be awesome. The best kiss ever. She was thinking all of this while she was leaning in through double vision and suddenly the floor was getting pretty close. She was not really leaning in to his mouth at all, rather her head had just made contact with his jaw and she was falling taking him with her.
She tried to grasp for something to keep them from falling but sliced her arm against something and two wound up in a painful pile on the floor. She had to laugh a bit, it was not meant to be apparently. But her laughter went away when he head started to hurt and she realized her arm hurt too. She looked across at Sam.
I think I need first aid. She said with a hint of a giggle though in reality she probably needed a few stitches. great, this was going on the permanent record for sure!

She was moving closer in turn, they were about to kiss when he found himself losing balance and falling under the weight of Raina, she was either taking things way to fast to soon or she couldn’t stand due to the alcohol. He blinked and found himself looking at Raina who was laughing on the floor covered in red.
It took a moment after she said she needed first aid for Sam to fully understand what was happening. She was bleeding pretty bad… leaning up and not even bothering to check and see if he was injured Sam sat up right and leaned over to Raina looking at the cut on her arm. ”Lay still alright? I’ll be right back…” Sam got up quickly and stumbled over to the bar grabbing two things a bottle of vodka and a small first aid kit that he thought would never be needed.
Running back to Raina and popping the bottle open Sam took a swig to make sure it was actually vodka and not another bottle he grabbed in urgency. The drink hit him hard, it stung as it entered his mouth and then he started to taste copper, either the bottle was something else or it was vodka and he too was bleeding. ”We have to go see Doc…” Sam said as he handed her the bottle and then grabbed some bandages from the kit. ”First gotta make sure you don’t bleed out.” he was never certified as a doctor, nurse, or even a lifeguard but the fundamentals of first aid came easily considering he was dating Doc’s assistant for more than a year.
He grabbed her injured arm and took the bottle back from her, with one eye he focused on the location and took the bottle and poured some of the vodka on her wound. It was going to hurt that much he knew but hopefully she was drunk enough not to notice much. ”Sorry!” Sam said as he handed her the bottle and then stumbled about for the bandage. Rolling it on her arm around the effected area Sam looked up to Riana, ”Can you walk?” he asked wondering if he had to give her a drunken piggyback ride.
The taste of copper was fading but his jaw still hurt slightly, he must have had a fat lip or something, he knew she connected with his jaw but the pain didn’t really hit him. It was late and he knew Doc wouldn’t be happy about the late night house call but he knew that Riana shouldn’t be bleeding.

Raina sat with a dumb look on her face for a few moments as Sam buzzed about her. She didn't quite get what all the fuss was about until she felt something wet and sticky on her fingers. She looked down. She'd cut her arm, and apparently broke the pool cue. She suddenly felt much dizzier and a little sick. She laid her head back on the cool floor. Ok, now things were getting a little stupid and she only had herself to blame.
Before she knew it she had a bottle in her hand wondering if Sam was really suggesting she drink more when he took it back from her and poured it on her arm. "Ahhhhh!!!!" she screamed. It felt like acid. "damnit." she growled leaning on Sam to pull herself up. "Ow ow ow." she leaned her head against his shoulder. "wow, I can't hold my alcohol." she laughed.
She was still in a good mood which suggested she was still drunk. "Ohhh man Doc is not going to be happy with me!" she squealed. "I gotta sober up before we go he'll kill me!" she tried to stand up but stumbled and sat back down. "ohhh crap crap crap. It's not that bad right? Right?" she looked up at Sam. She was the older one here, the bad influence, the guidance counselor for goodness sake! Counselors weren't supposed to get drunk!

Knowing it would sting but the alternative wouldn’t have been any better, sure he could have waited for Doc before he tried to sterilize it himself but he was drunk. The scream of pain startled him momentarily but he resumed in the drunken first aid. Hand reaching up to the back of her head Sam patted it gently as she buried her face in his shoulder, ”He’ll be disappointed that’s about it…” am said knowing how Doc was when one was drunk. A Bar fight and a piece of glass stuck in his hand introduced itself to the Doc one night, Sam doubted Doc would as rough with the treatment for him as he would be with Raina.
Sam wasn’t complaining but Sam found it a bit odd that Raina was willing to drink this much, he heard stories from Luke that Raina was well, Raina but Sam never would have thought Raina was this much fun. To think she even shot him down before, if she had accepted his advances back then… where would she be now?
Even in his drunken state he still had enough sense to focus on his breathing to calm himself, something he had always been grateful for. Breathing in and out Sam’s eye traveled to the top of Raina’s head. ”Raina… do me a favor…” Sam said as he removed his shoulder from her face. His hand traveled to her chin and he lifted it so his eye could meet hers without him having to bend over and possible fall, ”Relax, breath! Doc won’t be that upset, you’re an adult right?” he asked knowing the answer but deciding to give her a better perspective on the situation.
Even if she was a teacher she was an adult one that could drink legally, he on the other hand… let’s just say his age was the main reason Doc wasn’t as gentle as could be when it came to removing the broken glass from his hand when he took a taxi home.
”It’s not that bad…” Sam said removing his hand from under her chin to her arm. Lifting it he looked at the bandage, ”Cut like that will only take a second or two for Doc to fix up, the pool stick on the other hand,” Sam said with a sly smile as his eye traveled to the fallen pool stick, ”Was Streak’s favorite…” shrugging silently and mourning the fallen stick Sam looked back to Riana, ”You want to go see Doc now?”

Raina nodded. "Fine" she admitted that his drunk logic seemed to make a lot of sense. And really, it was better to get this looked at instead of go to drunk sleep and wake up not knowing what happened. At least she had that much sense. "To think, I showed up here so you and I could talk x-men!" she let him help her up and start the process of guiding her to Doc Prof's office.
"I mean, we gotta get our act together ya' know? Without Tricity or Iris around..." she trailed off for a moment. She wasn't at the point anymore of slurring but she was still having trouble making the thoughts that made sense in her head come out her mouth. "I mean you and Streaky and I... we gotta like... really lead this team..." she stumbled a bit. "I've been outta the game, preoccupied with work and stuff... but I see our opponents getting stronger, did I tell ya about the run in I had with someone from the Order?" she leaned her head against his shoulder as they walked and talked.
"She broke into Dr. Gray's office and stole some files. He told me they were on like advanced mutations and stuff... preliminary research he'd been doing or something like that." something like that. She couldn't quite remember. The walking around was giving her head a bit of a chance to clear up and the bleeding from her arm seemed to have stop. "She shocked me with electricity." she sneered. "What a bitch." then she laughed at herself for swearing again.
Soon they arrived at Doc Profs office and he was all ready standing there having heard them a mile off. Not just hear, smell. "Mhmmm." he said "I see. You again." he looked at Sam "And here's a surprise." he looked at Raina. "you two are lucky I'm still up, it's 3am for goodness sakes." Raina winced, even that was a bit late for partying. She held out her arm without any word. "I see, well come on in."
He motioned for them to follow and got Raina sitting on the table. "I think you'll need an IV first to sober you both up." he said not waiting for Raina to protest and sticking on in her arm. "It's fine to have some fun... but you two run the show around here lately. Students depend on you." Raina nodded sullenly. "That's not to say you shouldn't have fun, try and have fun more often so your need to do it doesn't build up like this and have you making poor choices." he turned and looked back at Sam. "Ok Raina, that's going to need stitches. You do know rubbing alcohol and drinking alcohol are two completely different things right? Drinking alcohol doesn't actually help that much... especially with the whole yeast and sugar thing." he crinkled his eye brows. "Though I suppose it was better than nothing."
He went to work on Raina's arm and she shot Sam a silly grin over his shoulder. Her face was a little red from being embarrassed but she'd survive.

He head rested on his shoulder as he guided her to the infirmary, which luckily wasn’t too far from his office. ”We can discuss the X’s when your feeling better, all work and no play makes Raina a dull girl right?” Sam asked in a mocking tone. Truth be told he had been taking command in the absence of the others, Raina being in Australia, Neena and Tricity both missing in action. He had to step up epically when Tricity offered him the position.
”Not to worried about the Order as of right now…” Sam said honestly as he walked down the hallway coming ever closer to the Infirmary and the ever disappointed gaze of Doc. ”According to Garrett and Pluto the leader of the Order is M.I.A. that and they are probably still recovering from the loss of the Haywire virus.” Sam thought on it for a second and decided it would be better safe than sorry, ”But your concern is noted and I’ll be sure to ask you about this when both out minds are less foggy….” yes that was the word he wanted to use, not drunk, or trashed.
When the entered Doc was still up and willing to work on Raina only after giving them both a lecture and the request that they sobered up. Sam eyed the I.V. machine then shook his head, ”I’ll be fine, we both know it take you and a few people to get that thing into my arm…” said Sam as he eyed the needle attached to the machine.
He didn’t like needles his childhood experiences only reinforced his fear of them. After a moment of Doc staring him down he sighed and looked to Raina, ”You on the other hand my dear,” Doc started going through the motions of installing the I.V. in her arm as Sam got a glass of water and started to drink it deciding his way of sobering up was safer than using a needle.
Nodding his had Sam smirked, ”Hey I cut down the grunt work for you, you should be thanking me!” Sam said as his lone eye focused on Doc before the Doc looked away and shook his head. Sam grinned knowing that was Doc’s way of trying not to laugh when the situation was like this. The last thing the Doc wanted was to encourage the situation.
Eye locking on Raina from the other side of Doc’s shoulder Sam grinned and then walked over to her his hand reaching up and touching her cheek, ”Think the I.V. is broken, your face is all red!” Sam said as he moved his eye in for a closer look hoping it would cause her face to light up even redder than before.

Raina stuck out her tongue at Sam and it wasn't long before the hydration helped her feel better. Granted, the stitches were hurting like mad and she was trying not to look at them while Doc attended to them. She winced a bit but tried to keep her playful demeanor.
"All right you two, if you don't want huge headaches in the morning take some ibuprofine and 2 B1 vitamin. Raina, come see me in about 3 days to have a look at these stitches. And please no more drunk..." he hesitated and looked between the two "... whatever it was you two were doing."
Raina blushed again. She hopped down off the table and felt much steadier on her feet. She grinned at Sam still trying to not look at her own stitches. She bobbed her head and thanked the Doc hoping he'd keep this little indiscretion to himself. She led the way out of the room.
Once outside she turned to Sam "Well, thanks for the fun night, I can't believe how late it is..." she trailed off pushing her hair behind her ear remembering how painfully close they'd been only a short while ago. She tried to push the thoughts from her mind. "We'll have to do it again! I'll try not to get so drunk though and cut myself up." she giggled and leaned forward awkwardly hugging him. "See ya!"
She hurried off down the hall as quickly as her wobbly legs would take her to her room.

After Doc finished with the healing and sent the pair on their way Sam smiled to the Doc and cleared his throat, ”Night, Doc!” following Riana out of the infirmary where Doc was shaking his head disappointedly Sam’s lone eye shifted from the one back behind in the infirmary to the one in front of him that was leading the way out of the infirmary.
”Your welcome, and it’s only more early than late I think once it’s passed midnight it’s considered early…” Sam thought allowed as his hand reached up to scratch his chin. As she pushed her red hair behind her ears Sam smirked, ”Yeah, we should I’ll make sure to childproof the man cave before you come back!” Sam laughed as she hugged him.
Reaching his hand up behind her back Sam smirked, as she pulled away and wobbled back down the hall. ”That was interesting…” Sam said to himself as he himself walked back down the hall back to the man cave. It was defiantly a night to remember, a confusing night but defiantly a good one to remember. To bad it had to end on such a negative note.
Sighing as he entered the man cave Sam started to clean up the mess that they had created in their drunken mess starting with the pool table, which had some blood on it.
