The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After leaving the danger room Daria headed for the bedroom. She showered and changed her bandages. She wouldn't have much to carry for the mission, in fact she had nothing to carry at all. The only thing she really had to consider was what she would wear.
It was a delicate mission and Daria decided, although they'd be trekking in the sewers, sneakers would be best since they aided her stealth and agility. She decided to wear simply a black long sleeve shirt, black yoga pants and a black hooded sweater. She also placed a pair of cut off biking gloves in her pocket. Not yet dressed she placed the clothes aside. It would be be better if Tricity had given them uniforms but but she hadn't so Daria called Linda to arrange something later.
Waiting for Mike to return, Daria curled up and took a catnap.
He smiled back, flopping over next to her. "Hell yes," he grinned, kissing her quickly. True... he WAS nervous about all of this, but it was strangely exciting at the same time.
"Oh, now THAT was low," he laughed, wrapping his arms around her. "I'll have you know that I've never cried like a baby." He pondered a second, "A little girl, maybe, but never a baby."

Daria laughed and smiled down at Mike. She wasn't nervouse for herself, she was more nervous for him. If anything happened to the man she looked at so adoringly now..she didn't know what she would do..
"The way we were planning it? No. As long as we can keep on our toes, we should be all right."
"After all... what's the worst that happens, it goes bad and you teleport everyone out of there?"
He tried desperately to believe that. He didn't set much store by his own life, at least for its own sake, but he couldn't bear the thought of other people getting hurt if he could help it, especially Daria.

"Okay," Daria laughed. "I am pretty sure I got the hang of this teleporting thing, it's been years now. But I've never worked well under pressure. Even when I was a kid. Do you know I once had to give an oral book report, I had read the whole book and the teacher picked me and I started rambling about what I did on my summer vacation? I'm just saying we should have a back up plan." she jested.

An image of roaches scattering when the lights come on flashed into Daria's mind and she transmitted it to Mike, laughing.
"Sounds good to me." She gave him a kiss which was supposed to be longer until she hada flashback. "Did Tricity say anything else about the War Room incident? Are we in deep kitty-litter?"
"Nah, she seems to have cooled down. I think we can chalk this one up to late-term hormones. Still... I think we need to keep our clothes on in the War Room from now on," he smirked.

"Right." Daria nodded assuming a false, firm face. "No sex in the War Room. Of course that has nothing to do with the classrooms...the kitchen...the diningroom, closets.." She laughed and winked at him.
Mike laughed with her. "I think our problem is that 'speed' isn't one of our high priorities," he mused, kissing her nose. "THat kind of hurts our 'not getting caught' efforts."

Daria thought for a minute.
"Hmm...yeah I suppose if our "quickie's" last for like 40 minutes then we're defeating the purpose." She laughed. "But I sued to know kids who ran track and when they wanted to get faster they practiced." She laughed and kissed him again. She looked at her wrist to see what time it wa but realized she hadn't put on her watch. She wasn't sure where it was either and she didn't feel like moving.
Daria hadn't told Mike but she'd been cold, or feeling cold since the night before. She couldn't shake the feeling and was simply trying to keep active to keep warm.
