The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade clenched her fists but when Raph again came to her rescue, she breathed out calmly. His arm seemed to take off alot of weight, metally, by putting alot of physical weight on, but she did not mind, he was taking care of her, that was all she needed. As he spoke of their wants, she nodded in agreement. When he whispered 'control' in her ear, she closed her eyes, clenched her teeth one last time, and when she opened her eyes again, she was under control. The only way to make the situation worse was to let it get to her, so she shut out the annoying girl, all until she spoke again.
As the other girl said that she too was interested in becoming an X-Man, she nearly burst out laughing, but she merely let out a small noise accompanied by a smile to show she thought it was a joke. As soon as she made the noise, she frowned and silently said "My bad, continue." Hoping that Tricity wouldn't be upset by her half-supressed laugh.
Tricity's mouth had fallen open slightly as the clear and annoyed aura between these two women continued. It was only when Raphael spoke did she close it and folded her arms in confusion, furrowing her eyebrow. "Well...Fade and Raphael, I'd be happy to talk to you about joining, just come into my room for a moment." She waited until they entered and then pulled the door closed to talk to Deathstar. "You're a new resident and we have yet to really get to know one another. It takes a lot of discipline and teamwork," she began with a smile, stressing 'teamwork' since Deathstar seemed to have a serious issue with people. She'd argued with a possible new resident and then it seemed she already had an issue with Fade and Raphael without being here very long. "Once you've lived here a while and showed the necessary skills, I'll take it into consideration. Is there anything else you needed, Deathstar?"
Deathstar slowly began to back away from tricity, turning her face away as if she is trying to hide her hurt feelings, Well!! I guess I know where I'm not wanted..... "she said" as she slowly began to turn away and walk towards the stairs, she stops and turns to look at tricity, she appears like she wanted to say something but couldn't, turns around again and continues her walk toward the stairs
Nothing please Fade more at that moment then to be allowed into Tricity's room with Raph as Tricity turned to talk to Deathstar, obviously not letting her in. Deathstar wasn't going to be an X-Man, at least not yet. And even though Fade couldn't see her face, she felt as though that was her payback and felt like she had won the arguement. However, after she thought that, she immediately reconsidered her thoughts and stayed calm, showing no feelings of superiority, that wasn't the way she acted.
She turned to Raph and looked into his eyes. "I'm so glad you're always there when that annoying chic comes by, I don't know what I'd do withoutcha." A small chuckle escaped her lips and she hugged him, feeling like she just wanted to hug the one person that could control her anger better than she could, especially since her anger didn't get out much and when it did, it was hazardous.
Raphael nodded to the headmistress. “Yes ma’am.” He stepped backwards, opened the door and pulled Jenny into the room with him. He pushed the door closed behind them, guessing that Tricity had a reason for talking with Deathstar alone.
“See, that wasn’t so bad, was it?” He asked, referring to the encounter with Deathstar, and listened to her response.
“You need to learn better control over yourself, I won’t always be ‘round .” He offered a warm smile down towards her, though he knew he needed to find better control for himself. Preach to the choir boy the though ran through his mind. He gave her a hug, then cast a glance towards the door before taking a seat and waiting for Tricity to come in. “And you’d likely have started swinging.”
"She's just so-Gah!" The next series of noises can't even be assigned a word because she twisted her fingers and made frustrated noises. However, I guess some letters could be used to describe how she sounded: "Gahragragareehhheeagear! and just Gah!" She ended before allowing her body to completely relax as she slunk into a seat.
After taking a deep breath, she sat up and sighed "Better, that was all I needed to do, act like it was her between my fingers as I crushed them together...too bad it wasn't." She grumbled before leaning back in her seat as she waited for Tricity so they could become X-Men.
He cast a glance over towards her, and gave a small shake of his head. He figured she was being sarcastic, and did not really mean it. He smiled a little bit though, when she said something violent, she did not mean it. At least not to the extent that he did when he mentioned violence, he generally meant it. He reached out his hand and put it on her’s. “Think she’ll let us join? Or that there’ll be a test of some sort?”
He watched her and hoped there would not be anything too strenuous. He was still not entirely used to the extra weight the adamantium had added to his body. However, that was slowly changing. He was regaining, albeit slowly, his previous dexterity and overall stamina. He smiled and waited for one of two things, Jenny’s reply or Tricity’s entrance.
Tricity sighed as she watched Deathstar quickly leave. The young woman had completely taken her answer out of context...and Tricity was completely confused, once again, about Deathstar.
She pushed open her door and gave a small smile to Raphael and Fade. "Hi, guys." After putting the last bite of her sandwich in her mouth, Tricity sat down behind her desk and motioned to the others to sit in the chairs or her bed. "Sooo..looking to be X-Men, yes? I'd be glad to let you guys join. There are a few standards. You'll have to practice in the Danger Room and you'll both be starting as back-up types. This means you won't take head positions, but you'll be invited and expected to help in missions when called. How does that sound to you?"
"I just hope that stupid girl didn't ruin my chances by making me look like I'm not suitible for being an X-Man, but I'm sure she didn't, Tricity can prolly tell that the girl's a joke." She shrugged, trying to extinguish all thoughts of her not becoming an X-Man.
She kept silent as Tricity entered and spoke. After Tricity had finished, she nodded and replied; "Yeah, that'd be great. Thanks, I didn't think we'd get that high yet, take it slow. I want to help in missions. It's be a great way for me to give back to this school since you have given me so much."
”I highly doubt that she did. Just… remember, control, ‘kay?” He patted her hand gently and looked up as Tricity entered. He rose for a moment, and then retook his seat as she gestured to do so. He nodded to her rhetorical question and her explanation of what would be expected. He also looked over at Jenny as she spoke up, then back to Tricity.
He then chose to add his two cents, partially dittoing Jenny’s response. “’Course not Miss Tricity. I woulda been surprised if you had offered us leadership positions right off…” He offered a smile before continuing. “Is there paperwork to be done? Trip to the tailor? When’s the first practice session? Are there any exams we need to take?” He cast a glance over at Jenny, then back to Tricity. He felt fairly sure that both of them could pass anything that was thrown at them, and that practicing with other X-Men would help speed along his recovery from his stint in the research facility.
Tricity smiled at Fade's response and tried not to cry. Emotions were running high with her since the baby was due any day now, though that didn't demean Fade's answer in any way. Raphael finished his answer and Tricity turned to him.
"Well, we'll definitely have to do some measurements for uniforms," she replied with a smile. "I've seen both of you under combat conditions before, so there's no need for any exams. We will be having a practice in a couple days, so be prepared for that in the Danger Room." Tricity took a pause and tried to think of anything else. "I think that's all. I'll be sure to let you know exactly when training will start though. The training sessions are real danger practices, so you may get hurt in the process and expected to act accordingly...unless of course it's a serious injury. We like to keep all possibilities in high risk situations available for practices since it can happen in the real world." Tricity smiled and sighed. "That's about it. Welcome to the X-Men. Questions?"
”Define serious,” He said with a grin, knowing full well he could take hits that would put down most people and mutants alike. Especially after what the research facility had done to him. He certainly felt indestructible with adamantium coating and strategic plates implanted in him. “Rhetorical question… Though my next question isn’t… well, next couple questions.”
He smiled. “First one business oriented… who and when should we see for the tailoring job? Second one is, when are you due Miss?” He asked with a smile still on his face; might as well make this visit friendly as well as professional. He moved his hand over to Jenny’s as she sat beside him and gave it a gentle squeeze, as though to say ‘see, was that so bad?’
"Fittings can take place..hmmm...tomorrow during the training session I'll give you both fittings," she began, smiling at the next portion of his questions. "Due any day now. The Doc Prof is saying because of my mutation and Orion's, the birth is taking longer, but isn't a bad thing."
She had been looking off and out through the window as she daydreamed about the baby, but then turned back to the two. "Sooo...when did this," she said with a smirk and nodding to them holding hands, "begin? I know I'm always on the move and my gossip is a little behind. Especially since I haven't spoken to Janie in a while."
He smiled and nodded. "Do you have a name picked? I hear 'Raphael' is a wonderful name if it'sa boy." He grinned, thend watched her daydream some and took the moment to steal a glance over at Jenny, and gave another squeeze to her hand. As he looked back at Tricity as she asked her next question.
He gave a little smile, then answered for both of them, while running a freehand through his shorter hair. "Shortly before this... Which was earlier today." He said as a smile graced his face. "Well, became official earlier today. The attraction was there well beforehand though." He looked over at Jenny as she was stoicly quiet after being admitted to the X-Men. "Right?"
As soon as the subject on the baby had surface, Fade was surged with enthusiasm. "I can't wait! Do you know if it's a girl or boy?" She asked as she scooted forward in her seat. Tricity had been pregnant for a while but Fade just couldn't wait until there was a baby around tha mansion. When Tricity then turned the questions on the other two, her cheeks turned a small tint more red.
"Yup, we just, well, as Raph said, made it official today, but our relationship had surfaced much earlier than today." She stated with a smile as she rubbed her thumb on his hand, replying to his reassuring light squeezes. Life was good, she had Raph in it and she was an X-Man. Fade finally belonged somewhere and felt as though she belonged there, which was quite different for a girl that didn't belong anywhere.
