Fiona had nodded enthusiastically when he mentioned the classrooms, and graciously kept her her shock at the mention of his donation of 200,000 to herself. However, one thing caught her attention as she led the man to the classrooms area.
"You say it as though you're not a mutant... Are you?" she asked, refrencing to his comment about abilities.
“Alas no, much to my disappointment. I’m just a regular human, though I would give almost anything for a mutant ability though, especially some of what I’ve heard, like flying, or controlling the weather.” The lie rolled effortlessly off his lips. Over the centuries he had mastered appearing human, something that was vital to his survival. He had never thought it would be used to hide his abilities from mutants, but it just goes to show, even when your over four hundred, life’s full of surprises.
Fiona leaned her head instinctively to the left when he said he was human.
"You're the first pro-mutant human I've ever met. I mean, I've read about them but I never thought I'd get to meet one in the flesh--I think that's wonderful."
Walking through the corridors, she looked at the open double doors that were down the hallways every thirty feet or so with labels above the doors. Upon peering inside, all sorts of children could be seen, from a small boy with a tail to a scrawny little girl who looked normal one second then had black scales the next.
"As you see, there are plenty of children here being given an education with tolerance to their needs. Our staff is actually completely mutant as far as I know, and the headmistress can control electricity, for example. Her name is Delilah Tipper, but she goes by Tricity."
As Fiona led the way down the hallway she had seen only twice herself, she stopped in a class devoted to controlling one's mutation. 'Probably an elective.' she thought, and giggled. She stopped to watch as a teenage boy stepped up to his instructor and vanished, only to reappear right in front of Fiona near the door. She jumped from surprise and laughed as he walked back into the class area recieving praise from the small woman who was teaching.
"As you see, we have a little bit of everything. The closest thing now is the kitchen, so if you'll follow I can show you where we generally congregate in the evenings, mornings, and afternoons."
Hunter acted amazed at the various mutants he saw, and in some cases genuinely was. Tricity would be the one he would need to speak to later, but for now he was more than content to follow Fiona. When he saw the boy teleport he almost went to drain him then and their, but restrained himself. That would come later, with time. He followed Fiona down the hall towards the kitchens. “Well, I hope I can be an example to others to see that mutants are people too. Maybe one day mutants wont need their own, segregated schools, but be able to fully integrate with humans” Making them a much easier target. “So I presume you’re a mutant then. Do you mind me asking as to what your powers are?”
