The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>“I’m very interested then. I’d love to meet this person you were speaking of.”
Lenna nodded. Cool. This really was going easily, wasn't it? Almost like everything had been planned.
As for what she could do. Show her?
"I already have. Try lifting something closer to your maximum limit." Lenna nodded the the various heavy things around them. Dumpsters, trash cans, newspaper dispensers, and so on. She smirked as she watched Henrietta's reaction.
After a minute, Lenna continued with the explanation. "I can weaken mutant powers around me. Cool, huh?"
She paused. A city bus pulled up to the bus stop nearby. Lenna looked its way. "So, I was thinking I could introduce you to that person now, if you weren't busy. You in?" Now was as good a time as any, right?
Henrietta attempted to lift something heavier, but it didn't work. She turned and stared at Lenna. Wow, I bet that comes in handy. The brunette smiled and shook her head slightly. "That's very cool. It scared me a little though at first. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me." She laughed and then noticed a bus pull up.
The woman asked Henri if she'd want to go meet the person now. She opened her mouth slightly and then shut it again. I hope I don't embarrass myself or something. Wouldn't that be something? Inside, she rolled her eyes at the thought of her tripping or saying something dumb, but on the outside she nodded. "Sure, I'm not busy now. I'm in." Okay, quick pep talk. Just think before you speak. Come on, Henrietta they teach you this in kindergarten. You'll be fine.
>>That's very cool. It scared me a little though at first. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me."
Lenna smirked. It had scared her a little at first, too. Though, being spoken to by a 7 foot tall, sometimes red, sometimes-pink-in-your-presence monkey man seemed to have that effect, regardless of the current topic at hand.
>>"Sure, I'm not busy now. I'm in."
"Great," Lenna replied. She stuck out her thumb, and hailed a cab. The yellow vehicle pulled up to the curb. Lenna stepped in, and gestured for Henrietta to follow. "Hop in."
"To Mondragon Labs Medical," Lenna announced. The driver glanced back at her. He was 30-something, with a scraggly brown beard and gray eyes.
"Pretty far."
"There's an extra tip in it for you if you wait for us, once we're there."
