The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was a little amazing that Isabel hadn't noticed the company they'd already dispatched along the way, but she was still right about back up. There were sure to be more.
"Move it, Bacchus. You point, I'll pop the top."
"Freeze! Get back into your cells." Why? Why did they always thing that guns stood a decent chance against mutants? Lori made a magnetic field that pushed all metal away from herself in a radius. Most of them smacked their guns into their own heads. Lucky Lenna had holstered hers.
"Someone take care of them? We don't got a whole lot of time to mess around." So she picked a few cells at random until Bacchus got his head on straight. The inhabitants were civil enough once one that had attempted a butt groping was left twitching and sizzling on the ground.
They were going to need enough cannon fodder to get out, but even with Lori sucking dry a few shock collars, she was running through an embarrassing amount of charge. That meant jelly legs and a waning sense of control.
He remembered. Good. Apparently, she was hard to forget. Lenna rested an impatient hand on her hip as he got her name right. "Bingo," she said. Whether that was to the second part of his statement, about the name, or the first one, was unclear. She'd pretty much ignored all the testosterone-laden things he was saying right now.
Five months.
According to her research, he'd been captured and locked away now for a good long while. He obviously had a lot of pent up frustration everyone in the room could do without.
Five months. Was her reasoning for going easy on him today. At least he was playing along, and answering their questions, and offering to help.
A hand snaked up to tug at the collar 'round his neck.
>>”Still not myself it seems…”
He noted.
"That would be me."
She took a moment to coolly pull the ski mask back over her face. As she leaned forwards, she continued. "You deserved it for getting thrown in here like an idiot," The mask was on. Lenna looked up at him again, with a hint of annoyance. "Five months, man. You should've been out by now. What gives."
A voice came from over her shoulder interrupted her before she got her answer.
>>"I love what you've done with your cell. You'll have to give me the number of your decorator."
Lenna glanced back at Isabel as she hurried them. Lori cut in a moment later, as a new group of guards arrived.
>>"Move it, Bacchus. You point, I'll pop the top."
"Let's hold that question off for later. Help Lori handle things. Me and Isabel can handle the guards."
As she turned away from Bacchus, her hand dropped to her boot. She slid a boot knife free. Lenna eyed the remaining guards. Most had been knocked out by their own guns. Lori's magnetic assault. A few remained, gun-free. There was no need to waste bullets now on the stragglers. The brown-haired blond walked up to Isabel, and offered her a masked smile. "Help me out?" Lenna said.
The next second, she was rushing towards a stumbling guard. She drove the sole of her right foot into his chest. He crumpled like tin foil, into the wall. Another guard stood up. He rushed her with his nightstick. With the knife in her hand, he didn't stand a chance.
He fell to the ground with a muffled 'thump'.
Somewhere in the background noise, an alarm was sounding. More guards were moving. The prison was alive.

Tightening his hands into fists he experimented with his lack of mutation for a moment or two before Lena owned up to the fact that she was the reason he wasn’t hulking out of the collar. His eyebrows lowered as he looked to Lena for a second as she put the mask on, ”Not my fault last thing I remember was fighting this one S.W.A.T. guy next thing I know, powers shut down tasered then clubbed couldn’t do much with a collar on after could I?” Bacchus said, as he shrugged his shoulders still not able to shrug all the way due to the collar pushing down.
Ready to continue he took a step back to look around the ward ready to pint out cages where members of his running crew dwelled. One was above him he knew this a few others dwelled down the hall and… Bacchus’s nostrils flared once than twice as he smelled a faint scent that was too hard to ignore. He took a few steps away from Lena and Jenny, and the smell got stronger. It was then he heard her voice.
Spinning on his heels his gaze fixed on the green bow and the casual attitude she had about the entire situation he frowned no longer as thrilled over the breakout. ”You got a lot of gull coming here five months later than expected, figure you’d be storming the prison by yourself…” Bacchus muttered to himself more than anyone else. ”You know, he is a terrific designer, how about you hop in the cell and wait for him for a few months and see if he stops by, I’m sure he’ll show up sooner or later.”
Jenny interjected and he turned his attention to a few guards that were getting the one on one with Lena, something he was a bit jealous about, five months did a lot to ones mind, made it dwell in the gutter for a bit too long. His attention snapped back to Jenny as he noticed she started breaking a few members of his inmates out of their cells. A smirk touched his lips as Tony got a shock from the attempted butt groping, ”Still as inviting as usual Jenny aren’t ya?” Bacchus said with a smirk as he nodded to the inmates who helped up their overeager friend.
”Second level cell 200 and 202 third level 363 and 319…” Bacchus listed off a few more cells as he tried to think of everyone he could. It wasn’t the first time he thought of their cell numbers in fact there was a time when he and the fellow mutant inmates had planned an escape or two unfortunately they ended as soon as another gang or a guard caught wind of it.
Attempting to get a bit more power than he currently had Bacchus grinned as he felt his fingers and hands expanding wider and longer until they were massive replicas of his once normal above average hand size. Bacchus laughed, as his voice seemed to get louder as his body started to expand, he was back and he wanted it to be known. He once again had full control over the power that made him so scary in the briefest of seconds.
Looking even with the second story Bacchus closed his fist and slammed his massive knuckles into cell bars once then pulled his hand back and shook it a few times. ”Bit rusty!”” he winced and shook his hand a few more times.
Isabel hugged the wall a little tighter as convicts filed through the holes in the wall where doors used to be. Any bit of foreign pressure felt against here was abruptly stabbed at with various spines until attentions finally focused on more important things. Such as avoiding being the next to receive a nasty shock from Lori or to get slammed by another flying door.
Watching Bacchus whip around at the sound of her voice was mildly amusing, though she had to work to keep her smirk in place when she saw the displeased expression falling on his own. She couldn't quite hear what he was grumbling about over all the noise the other inmates were making as the scrambled around, but she didn't exactly expect it was anything peasant. yThat's gratitude for you.
"It's not my fault you got your dumb arse thrown into this dump," she retorted as her smirk slipped, trying to keep at least half of her attention on the hallway behind her for the inevitable arrival of more guards. "Has it been five months already? Huh. A shame you couldn't have used that time and skill with home decor to mash your way through the guards and out the door."
Speaking of guards, she turned her gaze away from the disgruntled giant and toward the masked individual that was at her elbow. "I'd be delighted," she replied, returning the smile as she turned toward the bodies that were crumpling on the floor and the few that remained standing.
Casually she followed behind Lenna as the young woman went to work dispatching those that were still standing. Putting a long blade of bone in one of her own hands, she slashed at the most vulnerable parts of those that got in her way. She left most of those to Lenna, turning her attention more toward the groaning piles of flesh on the ground whose heads had been assaulted by their own weapons.
With her free hand she fired spikes of bone into the foreheads of the individuals on the ground, putting them down for good as the weapons buried through bone and brain matter. It was almost too easy. But she knew better than to believe things would remain that way. They'd doubtlessly be bringing in the big guns soon enough.
Judging by what Bane was babbling about, they'd also need to find the stairs in order to get to the upper levels and open the correct cell doors to gather up additional mutants for the Sanctuary. "For someone that wants out of here so badly, you sure are whining a lot, Bane," she snipped as she slid her blade across the throat of the nearest guard. If he was going to be a jerk to her, she could certainly return the favor.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
>”Not my fault last thing I remember was fighting this one S.W.A.T. guy next thing I know, powers shut down tasered then clubbed couldn’t do much with a collar on after could I?”
That sounded EXACTLY like Bacchus' fault. For the sake of moving things along, though Lori kept a lid on it. She could dress him down later when they had time and a more friendly environment. Isabel had enough sass for the lot of their Estro-rescue-fest.
"We don't have time to hit all those floors, only the ones on the way out." Lori pulled the door off of a cell, hopefully one Bane had mentioned. She hadn't been able to keep all those numbers in her head. What stepped out to meet her hardly looked human. "You want out? You make nice with the armed guard." She took his head wobble as a yes and so she sucked his collar dry and added him to their force.
Lenna was already moving as he gave her his answer. She filed it under 'interesting talking points' for later.
So he'd been beaten by an Adapted. A male one. She idly wondered if it was the one Mars had told her about. Maybe it was one unknown to the members of the Sanctuary... If Bacchus had more to say about the man, it might be useful information. If she could track him down, that was even better. The Kabal could use more people like her... especially when they were able to keep Prince Charming in his place.
These thoughts all occurred later, of course. For the moment, Lenna busied herself with taking down guards. Her eyes drifted to Isabel as Lenna pressed a guard's head into the wall. The woman had a blade coming out of her hand that worked near her aura. Fascinating.
She gave Isabel plenty of space to fight in, that thought spent. Lenna moved down the hallway a bit, to put Isabel out of her range. She wouldn't want any bone accidents happening, now would she? Well. Except for the ones that needed to happen when she swung a guard or two stumbling across the hallway into Isabel's shooting range.
"Here's another!" She shouted. Then, to Lori. "Can we make sure to stop by the security station to wipe the tapes some time in that escape plan of yours?"

He was weaker than what he was used to even with the collar gone the only perk of this was his senses, they were dulled if he was drunk though he hadn’t had a drink in a long time… alcohol in prison wasn’t something you normally wanted to drink, it was either laced with something or it tasted like shite which wouldn’t be too far of a stretch seeing as the good majority of it was made in the inmates toilets, it was after all the only real place you could make anything similar to a drink.
Coming to the conclusion that Lena might indeed would be the source of his dulled senses and weakened strength Bacchus inched away from her best he could as he shot a look to Isabel defensively, ”Collars activate after you use your mutation thought you’d have better knowledge of it than most! I wouldn’t have gotten far!” Bacchus said remembering their night together when she woke up from a nightmare from the camps. It was a low blow but he wasn’t really in the mood to deal with her for the moment he was still pretty sore about the fact it took him this long to break him out.
When Isabel called him a whiner he had put a bit more distance between him and Lena, which meant one thing. Growing another foot Bacchus punched through a cell without feeling much damage, ”Kyle, go see the blonde!” Bacchus said to the inmate in the cell who smirked with a devilish grin when he was released.
Turning his head to Jenny momentarily then taking a few steps he ripped another door of iron bars he roared, ”I’m not leaving any of them behind! This breakout would have been useless without any of them!” he looked frantically for the next set of cells where his inmates were being held, he wasn’t one to normally show any form of gratification when he was in a hurry but without any of them odds were he wouldn’t have made it more than four months in prison.
Those with power who were stripped of said power and were locked up often found themselves on the bottom of the food chain in prison and when he arrived he was the lowest of the low, as you can imagine he was a pretty to big target to begin with but when he killed his first inmate he made a name for himself and making a name for yourself in prison only painted a bigger target on your head. A target that his fellow mutant inmates help protect, therefore he owed them a debt that could only be repaid with freedom, a debt he planned on paying. Luckily most of the mutants in his crew were in the same cell block all the others in different cell blocks often got picked off which why it was so important that he got them their freedom.

Isabel had begun putting a little distance between herself and Lenna as she proceeded to wade through the growing number of bodies on the ground, the restricting space of the hallway walls irritating her a little as it didn't leave her as much room to maneuver in as she would have liked. It was certainly workable, just not ideal. She figured if the group spread out a little, they would lessen the possibility of getting in each others way and perhaps be able to dispatch more guards by covering a little more ground. Besides, something about Lenna made her feel uneasy.
Hearing the aforementioned young woman shout something, she turned to see a pair of guards groping for a handhold and struggling to keep their balance as they were sent stumbling in her direction. Sidestepping one, she dragged her blade across his midsection and then up through the second's jaw in one smooth movement. Pulling the blade back to her side, she casually shook it to relieve it of any excess blood. It could be fun to play with, but it would be no good to have the base of the blade slip out of her grasp if she got too much of the crimson liquid on her hands. Plus, when it began to dry it got sticky, which was an unpleasant feeling to have between one's fingers.
She pretended she didn't hear the second half of Bane's accusation, resisting the urge to let her hand seek out the scar on her wrist. She didn't want to think about it. "Careful, Bane. Your lack of creativity is showing," she snapped back, jabbing at the nearest moving body perhaps a little too roughly. Carefully she made room for the semi-human individual that lumbered out of the most recently opened cell.
"If we have to find the security room anyway, I can get myself upstairs to help Bane get his rear in gear and get the rest of his little group moving," she offered, aiming her proposition at Lori. She didn't want to encourage a quarrel within their escape party, but she knew the Giant was almost as stubborn as she was and he'd go out of his way to do what he wanted before leaving no matter what Lori's plan was. She wanted to assist Bacchus. That was the whole point of tagging along for the prison break. But Lori was her boss and he was pissing her off. She'd do as she was told.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
"Fine. Take all the time you want, Bacchus." With Lenna and Isabel cleaning up most of the riff raff, Lori wasn't in much danger. Especially since their numbers were only growing and some of that number were grateful to Lori for popping the lid on their can. "If you don't leave this place, don't blame the calvary and don't expect a second chance."
Isabel had a fine idea to separate the boss from the problem. Good old Isabel and her good old bow. Always willing to handle the goon. "Do it, Isabel." Lori surveyed their new toys and pointed at one who seemed to have the bodily physical properties of concrete and was showing a guard just how hard a brick could hit.
"Lenna, Brick. Let's go destroy evidence."
The security tower was actually a tricky looking take being isolated and suspended in a tower, but that just gave Bacchus more time to break out a few more pals. After this she liked to imagine taking a long, luxurious bubble bath. Or maybe a nap. A nap was more feasible.
Bacchus was complaining, but Isabel made it stop. Lenna flashed a little masked smile Isabel's way as she kicked a guard in the head. He was already on the floor. The kick was just icing. She stepped away from him, crossing her arms. She'd handled her share. Lori was giving her an order now. An order Lenna was all-too-willing to follow. She approached the woman and her posse, and led them right along to the security station.
Along the way, there were a few more guards. A few more bodies on the floor were left in their wake. They made their way to the top of the tower. Lenna forced her way through the door. She cleared it of guards with one shot, two shots, then ushered Lori in with a sweep of her hand.

A mental note was created in his head to give Isabel a hard time about everything they way she was giving him one. She was talking to Jenny and Lena like he was a burden and was only hindering the jailbreak. He frowned as a massive hand reached up and tore another door of bars from a wall to release the healer that had kept him going on more than one occasion. He didn’t have a collar on seeing as no one was aware he was a mutant but that didn’t stop him from scurrying after his mutant cellmate when the door was removed.
More and more members of his little gang were released early with good behavior (in his opinion) as he was becoming more an more agitated with those who set him free. However he was still grateful to them all he held his tongue for now and continue to let them think he was nothing more than a nuisances, it didn’t really bother him much anyways he was a little preoccupied at the moment.
A shrug was all he could muster to Jenny when she said he wouldn’t get a second chance, he wasn’t going to waste this one, he made a pact with the other mutants in prison if by some chance that one of them somehow was able to get away that they would all get away. Even if Bacchus was dishonest man he still stay true to his word. Especially when it meant paying off a debt to those who saved his lives on more than one occasion.
A lone guard ran towards him on the second floor wielding a night stick in a mad frenzy to try and keep some of NYC most dangerous mutants under lock and key by starting with the giant who had been nothing but trouble. Bacchus who was still on the first floor and looming over the guard rail of the second floor flicked his wrist and batted him away like a fly as he neared one of the last members on the second floor and one of their last captured members who was still locked up.
Even if Jenny, Lena and Isabel left him to fend for himself he was positive at least twelve other members of the jailbreak in process would stick around with him till everyone was free. They did after all watch out for each other during their time he at least wanted to see everyone through to the outside.

Isabel gave a small nod of her head as Lori gave her permission to aid Bane in his stubborn attempts to get the rest of his little group of inmates out of their cells and out onto the streets. She didn't necessarily like the idea of splitting up and taking the risk of losing her chance to climb back into the getaway car, or tank as the case may be, but she knew the big oaf wasn't going to budge in his decision.
If she didn't at least give him a hand in ripping holes in the specified cells and left him on his own as a result, then the whole rescue could turn out to be a waste of time. The whole point was to help the Giant get out, not to knock down his door and take off.
Finding stairs would take too much time, especially with Bane growing and moving on to upper floors at the rate he was going. And so she would climb. Producing those spidery bone legs that she had grown so very fond of and adding a barb toward the end of each one to aid in grabbing onto the concrete and the rails, she climbed as quickly as she was able, heading for the third floor and dispatching guards when the need arose.
"You point, I'll pop the locks," she offered as she clambered over the third floor rail and lowered herself to the floor. She was, after all, a sort of living skeleton key. She didn't have any extensive training in picking locks, but she was sure she knew enough to figure out the cell locks quickly enough. And if Bane decided not to cooperate there were still plenty of uniformed personnel she could knock down and keep away from the inmates as they headed for an exit.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
This was her area of expertise. Lori ran her fingers over all the nifty little blinking doodads that someone had taken such meticulous care of. In her wake spread darkness. These controls would blink no more. Typically a surge in the system would mean that all systems default to their initial states, only Lori wasn't surging this system. She was sucking it dry.
She saved the back up generator for last like someone might savor hard candy. This didn't put her even close to full power, but it would help. Every drop helped.
Hey. It took a lot of moxy to land a tank.
Once she got to the taping area she had to expend a little extra energy to make the digital storage sizzle and pop. An extra boost to her magnetic field would mean all the analog stuff would show snow unless it was protected somehow. Which wasn't likely.
"All done. Bane had better book it."
They left the little internal viewing cctv's off. They didn't even have the capacity to show snow anymore. "I wonder how much property damage this is?" Would this ineffectual prison get funding to repair or would they come up with something bigger and badder next time? "He was lucky. They're going to learn from this." That was all she had to say about that.
Then they were on their way back down and soon to be out. That was the plan anyway.
"Hopefully, enough," Lenna said, smiling darkly. "And they never learn. They always make the same mistake," She turned, and walked out the door, voice carrying over her shoulder. "They mess with the wrong people."
The two made their way back to the candy van. Mercury was done playing, it seemed. He was waiting for them in the front seat. Lenna sat down in the driver's seat, and waited.
"Hopefully, Bane and Isabel don't make us wait too long..."

”Those three!” Bacchus said aloud as Isabel asked for targets for those that she would let out. ”Jake, Ed, Tony head to the first floor and meet up with the others!” Bacchus said as the last of his members nodded their heads in acknowledgement taking another guard by surprise and pulling him away from the stairs as he tried to get some cover to call for back up. Another flick of the wrist and the guard fell over the guardrail to the first floor where a few dozen inmates were waiting for the rest of their brothers.
Once the three were freed from the third floor Bacchus looked up to Isabel with a slight frown, ”What’s taking so long we are under a time limit right?” he asked giving her a hard time for he was still upset it took five months for her to say two words to him now not only her but his other two rescuers were giving him attitude.
Not even waiting for Isabel to respond Bacchus’s massive frame started to shrink down so instead of standing at the second floor he was standing eight feet tall on the first floor with his inmates. ”Ready when you are Isabel!” Bacchus called out as he smirked to a few of his inmates who gave him a grin.
