The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>"All ready..." "And it is I who should be thanking you, I would not have made this so soon if you hadn't asked me for recipes. So Thank you "
"It was fun," he replied with a light grin. Definitely worth the messed-up cake recipe and the brain-freezing. As they made their way to the lot, Aurum walked with his hands in his pockets, amused by the day. Cute girl, cooking? What more could a guy ask for in an afternoon? Andrea was nice. She had a good eye for recipes, and good taste.
The van unlocked, and Aurum opened the door for her. He swung around to the driver's side, and got in. His seat belt snapped into place. Aurum checked the mirror, then looked to Andrea.
"I think I remember it," He answered her question. It wasn't too far off from some other landmarks he dealt with, after all. Aurum turned the key, and backed the van up.
A short while later, he pulled up against the street near her shop, and put the van in 'park'. Aurum turned it off, and moved to walk her to the shop. He held the door open for her with a smile.
"It was nice. We'll have to do this again some time." Aurum paused as a thought struck him. He reached into his pocket for his cell. "You have my number, right?"
He held the door open for her. How polite! With a smile, she started to enter, before stopping short as he asked about numbers. Blinking, she thought back, and recalled him receiving her work number, but not receiving his. "I do not, Actually." Her hands dove into her purse and she fished out a pen and a small note pad, clicking the pens writing tip into existence quickly as she waited for him to sound off a number. She sheepishly reminded herself that she needed to get a cell phone, while watching him toy with his. Having one would make things much easier for her, especially when it came to calling, or being called in this case. Her shop number wouldn't hold up forever, especially with Alisa lurking about in there... Speaking of which...
Andrea turned to peek inside the building, peering over a row of bouquets to try and spot her boss within. After a few moments of searching, she spotted the old woman exiting her office- heading in the direction of the back room. Alisa, who had those miraculous eyes in the back of her head, turned and spotted Andrea peering in. A grin immediately over took the woman's face, she waved her fingers playfully at the Greek, before disappearing into the back. Andrea didn't doubt for a second as she turned her attention back to Aurum, that she was going to be grilled like a cheese sandwich for every spec of information she had once she entered that store. That woman would be the death of her...
"Fire away." She finished, finally. Grinning at him in hopes that her brief state of being distracted hadn't been all that obvious. "You know, I will have to fish up some more recipes for you, something classic. Maybe then we can try that cake again after dinner some time?" Tilting her head, she smiled, but found that the words coming out of her mouth sounded a little funny. They were vaguely familiar to something she had heard someone say before... but she couldn't remember what they had been talking about, nor where... TV perhaps? It had probably been some cheesy Saturday night flick...
Obvious like a Carmen Sandiego cosplayer amidst a field of Waldos. Aurum tried not to smirk. Andrea’s boss seemed like a dangerous women. He recited the number slowly, letting her catch every number before he continued. He mentally noted that he’d need to get her real number eventually. Calling the shop every time he wanted to ask her out would be awkward. One could only do that for so long before the flower shop starting growing wise to the phantom ‘help’ thief.
He smiled as Andrea accepted the offer for another cooking adventure. More recipe-exchanging and dessert-sharing sounded good. “It’s a date,” Aurum said. The cellphone swung shut, and Aurum looked back towards the shop. “Well then, I’ll leave you to your work. Call me any time. Bye.”
He slipped his hands into his pockets as he casually walked back to his van.
As she finished jotting down his information, she slipped both pen and paper back into her purse and smiled, waving slightly at his retreating form. "I'll talk to you later, Aurum." With once more glance in his direction, she turned and moved into the shop. The day had been so nice. Good food, good company, and now a second date!...Wait-....
Alisa stepped out of the back room, intent on quizzing her young employee for juicy details, when she saw the color drain from Andrea's face. "Why, Andrea, dear child, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost!" She moved to the green woman's side and pressed the back of her hand against Andrea's forehead to see if she was running a temperature and perhaps feeling ill. Andrea reached up slowly to remove Alisa's hand, turned a rather confused look the old woman's way, and muttered,
"Ma'am...I think-... I think I may have just been on a date..." The floral shop owners face split into a huge grin, and she patted the top of Andrea's head gently. "Oh dear, You kids grow up so quickly!" Andrea simply blushed in response, batted the woman's hands away, and retired quickly into the back room to think, for she had much to think about...
