The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Eaen's eyes widened when Deathstar threw the knife at Raph, his head snapping over in Raph's direction only managing to catch the later end of his response. Eaen was shocked. It took longer for him to move his head than for Raphael to react to Deathstar's strike. He let loose a nervous chuckle, and slouched in his chair.
He made a mental note regarding the acting vs. retacting statements Raph had made, and nodded, reflecting on the information.
<"Who's this guy think he is?">
'Someone who's experience in a lot of things someone our age shouldn't be. I mean... he looks younger than I am.'
<"Dude, you look 12.">
'Shut up.'
He remembered his cereal and raised the spoon to his lips before muttering out, "Nice catch."
Deathstar look at Raph as his blade went towards her neck, she at the blade, and look at him, she didn't flinched, deathstar been in worse situations, she looks at raph.. well1 I guess you are ...deltoid!!...how did you end up here..?..she turns to eaen who has been quiet during our little conversation, Eaen you met Raph before haven't you she asks Eaen trying engage him in the conversation
Raphael looked over at Eaen as he spoke and nodded. "Thank you..." He then looked back to Deathstar and answered her question. "I walked away. Told Benny I'd give him one last fight, and walked away. Had heard rumors of a place safe for mutants, and while I was generally accepted in the fighter's court, it was not the final resting place for me, and I knew it. So, I walked away."
He knew it had not been that simple, but there was little point in making it more complex in his story. He looked to Eaen again as Deathstar mentioned his name. "Nice to meet you Eaen."
Eaen cocked his head to the side as Deathstar spoke to him, and shoke his head in response to her question.
He smiled as Raph spoke to him and spoke slowly. "Nice to meet you too Raphael." He was still a bit groggy, and this was more excitement than he was expecting first thing in the morning. He looked from Deathstar to Raph and frowned slightly. He though about the pieces he had heard of his "mansion-mates" different pasts. Compared to Fade's, Deathstar's, and Raph's pasts, he had been living a sugar coated life.
<"Hullo? Remember me?">
Eaen blushed lightly as Miguel spoke. 'Yeah... besides that though. Nothing compared to what these guys did. And I have a feeling they're all younger than me too. Fade didn't look any older than what? 16? 17? Deathstar and Raphael must be around the same age. I'm pushing 20.'
Eaen understood Miguel's silence. For once, he couldn't argue with him.
"I'm sorry." Eaen blushed realizing how random it must have sounded. "I mean... that you guys had to deal with so much at such a young age. I... uh, know that must kind of suck." He ended lamely, turning back to swirling his cereal, or what was left of it.
Raphael shook his head. "It is a part of me, and no matter how much I'd like to forget it... it helps define who I am now. It's really only bad when it catches up with me as it has now." He stated almost matter of factly. Though it were truer than he might want to admit, as there was a lot in his past that he would like to erase. He watched Eaen for a moment, and took notice of him swirling his cereal, then looked back down to his almost untouched oatmeal.
He then looked back to Deathstar for a moment while addressing Eaen. "What brings you here?"
Eaen smiled at Raph's question. It turned into a half-smile as he thought to himself, what did bring me here. He continued to play with his food as he thought about the question. It seemed to be the favored one at the mansion, and he had answer pretty consistently up to that point. But was he answering truthfully?
Eaen wasn't sure anymore. He leaned back a little bit.
'I'm here because I want Miguel gone.'
"I'm just trying to gain better control of my powers I guess..."
Dropping his spoon he took a deep breath, streching out his legs afterwards.
'I'm looking for redemption for my mistakes. For the lives I've hurt, and the lives I've ended.'
"Plus, I guess I want a second shot at school. I was never so hot at it when I was younger. Maybe I'll be more focused up here." Eaen chuckled. "And I guess I have this crazy idea that maybe it was destiny that brought me here."
Eaen smiled widely, innocently. "It may seem naïve, but it's fun to think there's a bigger force driving us all right?" He laughed again, but this time it was a little sad. "Makes the ups and downs seem like they're moving somewhere."
He blushed a little when he realized he was sort of babbling about destiny. Strange choice of topics for people who have just met. Then again, Eaen was strange all by himself. He wondered for a second why Miguel was being so tame, but after he refused to respond, he just turned his attention back to the people at the table, not really worried about why Miguel was quiet.
Raphael nodded some. Neither was the reason he had come. He was not entirely sure why he had some here, it certainly seemed the natural place to go when he left the 'employment' of Benny. He had stayed because he had found friends here, and people to use his combat prowess to protect. Even if he had failed in the latter sense more than once.
He turned his gaze back to Eaen and answered his question. "I personally prefer to think I am in control of my own actions. My decisions, and the consequences I reap from them. I would despise thinking that the demons I carry are the result of some transcendental entity's movement." He shrugged some, "I've been a pawn on a chess board before... and that was on a mundane human scale. It is not something I even want to contemplate happening on a scale that I can't affect."
If you hate being manipulated, why stick to any kind of honor-code? Such as keeping your word to some exploitive prick? he scolded himself. "So, no... I don't think it's fun to think that there is a higher force driving us all. Sorry."
((ooc: haha, thanks!! no my spelling is just attrocious, and I'm too lazy to spell check. >__<))
Eaen smiled. "Don't apologize. Just because you disagree with me doesn't mean you should feel like you have to say sorry." He thought for a few seconds about what Raph had said and just shrugged. "Either way, I guess it won't do any of us any good thinking about it. Regardless of wether or not you believe in destiny, and whether choices were really yours or not, it's not really going to change how we feel in the present is it?"
At least, it hadn't changed Eaen in the leastest. He found it comforting to blame things on fate, but in the end, he still felt responsible for his actions. "Maybe Fate's just the world's favorite excuse."
Eaen dropped his spoon inside his bowl after he finished the dregs of his cereal. "Would that make God it's favorite scape-goat?"
He laughed at his musings. "I'm sorry, I guess I must sound kind of stupid." He blushed a little and folded his hands in his lap. "I guess none of us are ever going to know. Not until it's all over at least. If there's someone pulling the strings I guess we'll be pleasently surprised at the end. If there isn't, I guess we won't have the chance to mourn it." He spoke quietly, and fought through a yawn at the end of his ramble. "I should have stuck with an easier topic. It's so easy to get sucked into these kinds of discussions isn't it?"
Eaen smiled, he was content with the conversation, although he spoke as if he was ready for it to change. "They're amusing, but they'll only bring you to the same spot over and over again."
He was warming up to Raph quickly, mainly because he hit it off so well with Fade before. He figured any guy nice enough to win over Fade was a guy he wouldn't mind being friends with. He trusted her judgement in character, even though he barely knew her.
Raphael nodded some. "I take it you are in Zeke's world religion class?" He asked, almost idly. The conversation, while pleasantly deep and entralling was not enough to cause him to forget his other troubles. He wondered how Jenny would take his leaving for a few days... and how to get back into the city, preferably quickly. A problem that would not be easily solved, as he did not have a vehicle, or a good deal of cash with which to pay for a cab. He shook his head and directed his attention back to Eaen. "A lot of religion is like that though... speculation as to what the big answer at the end is."
He shrugged some. He had lived for the moment after nearly killing his brother and being all but disowned by his family. Lived for the moment and now he dreaded the future to some extent. Benny had promised a 'special treat' for his last fight. That only meant one thing really... "Stupid prick has someone especially 'tough'... possibly even another mutant," he thought aloud to himself. He looked up at Eaen, then over to Deathstar and spoke in a normal voice level. "Either of you happen to have a car available?"
deathstar was in a daze when Raph and Eaen was conversing, she snapped out of her daydream when raph ask if she had a car available, Huh!...Oh Yea!!...A car where are you trying to go.... she spoke trying to catch up with the conversation, trying to figure out twhere they want to go!!...
Darius leant off the doorway where he had been resting against listening to his fellow resisdents problems "Sorry to interupt your deep and meanful converstations, but Raph I never would have picked you as a killer, hang on how many people in this room have killed?" he said shaking his head. Doesn't anyone have the pleasure of leading a normal life anymore he thought to himself.
"This whole room is very depressing right now" he said looking at all of them and remembered that he hadn't introduced himself to Eaen and thought it would be a good change of subject "Oh sorry there, Eaen is it, names Darius Spears nice to meet you my friend, so whats this business about a car, planning a road trip without me??" he said as he shook Eaens hand and waited for a reply
deathstar answers darius question, well in my case, I wasn't myself...it was my sister..but thats a long story.. once again she cahnges the story again and she stood up walking towards. road trip , with any trip raph is taking he is sure to take me along...... she says while looking back at raph with a small faint smirk on her face....
Eaen listened quietly as Raph spoke, and was still running through the other teen's statements in his head when Raph made his comment about the "stupid prick". It didn't take Eaen more than a few seconds to piece together the puzzle.
"I don't think Raph was planning a road trip..." Eaen said quietly. He looked over at Talon when he spoke, and shook his hand. "Yeah, I'm Eaen, nice to meet you Darius."
He shrugged afterwards, just catching on to Talon's comment about the room being depressing. "Maybe a little." He would have came up with a more elaborate answer, but he wasn't sure if he was a killer or not. With Miguel, things always became a bit more complicated.
Looking back towards Raph, he went over the details in his head. 'Alright, so Raphael used to be a fighter of some sorts in an underground circuit. The man he mentioned earlier, Benny, was in charge, or a sort of manager. He's the one who gave him his fights, and was more than likely the stupid prick. The only logical place he could be heading to after making those sorts of comments would be...'
Eaen nodded lightly, before glancing over at Deathstar. He returned his attention to Raph and spoke softly. "Did you want someone to drop you off, that way you don't have the car there?"
He knew Deathstar would find a way to follow Raph to the fights, most likely in a less than graceful way, so he figured, might as well let the guy do what he wants to do with dignity, and then tag along with Deathstar afterwards to make sure she didn't get herself into too much trouble.
Eaen was obviously ignoring the fact that lately, him and Deathstar both caused a lot of trouble. Especially when the two of them got together.
"Unless you've taken a life Darius, I think that leaves me being the only killer in the room," Raphael said. "And I appologize for making the room depressing."
He looked between them, and let out a soft sigh. He wanted a ride into New York, not to organize a road trip. Especially not a road trip to his last cage fight as Deltoid. He shook his head some and fixed his gaze on Deathstar. "Given that I don't want to commit grand theft auto, of course you'll be going, assuming you agree to take me." He then looked between Darius and Eaen. Darius had expressed his desire to accompany him.
"I'm not entirely sure I will Darius, though I thank you for the offer," he did not want to bring anyone else into the world he had left, especially Eaen. Eaen seemed to strike him as the innocent type, one who might even throw some kind of fit at the sight of violence. Though appearances could be deceptive. It still stood that going only with Deathstar to the ring would act as a kind of protection for those who had not been to such a place.
"I need a ride into town to handle the bit of my past which is haunting me," he said simply, returning his gaze to Deathstar, then back to Eaen. "I don't need to just be dropped off, though I could be."
Eaen seemed to catch details a little better than he had thought. He was observant, a good quality that Raphael respected. Certainly a little more observant than Darius and Deathstar, though Deathstar had seemed to of been daydreaming for most of the conversation following his admittal and proving that he was Deltoid.
