(Continued from Get Backers) A low wall snaked around an empty parking lot next to a forlorn warehouse. It wouldn't have looked like anyone used the warehouse except for the fact that there were tire tracks through the fresh snow leading through the garage doors. There were also a pair of footprints leading to the low wall. At the end of a trail sat a man with skin even whiter than the dirty snow pile next to him, though there wasn't much of his skin actually showing. His gloved hand held a cell phone up to his ear. The other held a pen poise over the open notebook in his lap. Sebastian had been offered a little office inside the building, but the only place his cell phone worked properly was outside. Someone had tried to explain to him that the concrete of the building probably blocked the signal from the satellite or tower, but the technologically inept immortal hadn't understood a word they had said, and it hadn't had anything to do with the fact that they had been speaking Romanian. He did understand the follow up suggestion that he try his luck outside. His first phone call had been to the Kabal's secretary, Noin Mortman. From her he had received the information he needed to make the rest of his phone calls; a list of telephone numbers. He was fast learning about his little phone. He had pretty well mastered the art of making telephone calls now, had left several “voice mail” messages, and soon enough he would learn about “roaming charges”. Another message, another number checked off on his list. Thus far he had reached more “voice mail” than he had owners of the phones. It was not an encouraging sign. He dialed the next number on the list. Another “voice mail” message. “Hello Circe, this is Sebastian Csendes. If you get this message, know that your help is needed desperately. Please call me back as soon as possible,” Sebastian slowly iterated the numbers for his own phone, “If you do not get this message, I assume it is because it is you that needs help more desperately than I. In that case, luck and courage to you.” It was getting cold, scratch that, had gotten cold a long time ago. Sebastian didn't care to take a break to warm up, though. He was certain that his discomfort was nothing compared to those that had been taken to the camps. Another number. He prepared his memorized speech for the voice mail... ...and got a real person instead. For a moment he was so surprised that he was silent, then, “Sorry, Mrs. Brooks. It's me Sebastian. Are you free to speak privately? ... I am with the Underground right now. We're gathering people to help liberate the camps where they have imprisoned ... yes, Slate and Ghost, too. ... If you would like to take shelter with us, or if you can help with the liberation, I can arrange for someone to meet you and bring you safely to headquarters,” Sebastian nodded, though she couldn't see him, then proceeded to make meeting arrangements. “Safe journey and gods' speed,” he finished glancing down at his list once again as he hung up. Another family torn apart by this stupid conflict. He sniffed and blamed it on the cold, but couldn't blame the cold for the page in front of him being slightly blurry.

Out of character: Anyone not in the camps that would like to participate in the rescue efforts may assume they got a phone call from Sebastian. He would have arranged for a member or two of the Underground to pick you up and transport you safely to the headquarters. Posting your arrival is optional. Making posts at the Underground headquarters interacting with the other rescuers is optional and encouraged!
IC you would have received your phone call on Dec 2 or 3, and the breakout takes place on Dec 31. (Pretty sure, l*ooks at Slate for confirmation*) This gives both camp inmates and rescuers time to post in their various locations. OOC the actual breakout thread will probably start mid February, once Calley and Abyss are back from their vacation-y type things. In the meantime, have some fun in the Underground or at the camps!
