The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"No problem," Chris said. "My treat this time." >>"You must really like tuna, I'm guessing. I was craving salad for some weird reason." Chris looked at her salad. It had stuff that he recognized - tomatoes and salad and cucumber and so on - but nothing that seemed appetizing to him. He shrugged and stuck his fork into the tuna. "Well, actually, I don't" he admitted and looked down at the greyish pink fish in the can. "It's okay, but I've eaten it a lot lately." He realized that this might need an explanation. "I can't really eat vegetables and bread and stuff. I mean, I can if I want to, but it doesn't do much for me. And I'm not too fond of cooked food either, but people react weird if you look like... well, you know... and want to buy raw fish or meat. It's easier to just buy canned fish." Except for that time when Mongoose had treated him and Meld to sushi. If there was such a thing as a heaven on earth, then he strongly suspected that the sushi place had been it.
Chris was sitting with his back against the fellow by the door, so he didn't notice the man's interest in them. But he noticed that the red-haired girl at the other table seemed to... wipe away a tear? He quickly looked away. He wasn't used to see people express personal feelings in public. "A-anyway, sorry about, uh, sharing the details. I know it must be kind of... unappetizing," he said, realizing that some people found the 'raw meat' part offending. "You're not a, uh, vegetarian or something?" he asked cautiously, looking down at her salad questioningly. He had never met one before, except over the internet, but he'd heard that they could go to great lengths defending their beliefs.
Chris explained his food choice. All of a sudden he looked concerned. He asked if she was a vegetarian. She gave him an assuring smile. “No, no, no. Don’t be concerned. It’s nothing like that. I’m actually a big fan of chicken.” She really was in the mood for salad. Henri wasn’t sure why, but it was just a craving. “I really wanted something fresh.” She shrugged and stabbed some lettuce with her fork. Putting it into her mouth, she chewed in silence. It had Italian dressing on it. She was glad since it was her favorite. When she was younger, she used to drink it out of the bottle until her mother had caught her.
The girl at the table next to them seemed like she was crying. Henrietta glanced at her. She didn’t look too far in age from her. Part of her felt she should stay out of it, but she knew if she was alone crying, she’d want someone to ask. Turning to look at the red head, she smiled kindly. “Excuse me, are you going to be all right? I’m sorry if I seem nosy, but I just wanted to check. I know that I personally hate to be alone when I’m sad.” Maybe Henri should’ve left her alone, but she couldn’t on good conscience.
Spectre looking up from his Palm Pilot and saw the brunette offering a helping hand to the other girl. Seeing this as the perfect time to move in, he got up from his table and walked over to the group of people. " My sentiments exactly young lady..." he added to Henri's comment. Daimon approached the table and sat across from the red head. Looking at their faces he knew that introductions were in order. "Please excuse my boldness, let me intoduce myself" he coughed and straightened up, "My name is Daimon Slever, local business man, chef and renoun Bon Vivant... a pleasure to meet you all" he offered his hand to who ever wanted to shake it. "Im sure you must think im very stange indeed to have looked at you all for so long, I mean nothing insidious about it, im just interested in mutants, they are an odd breed indeed don't you think?" giving the young man a nod, and another look over. "Simply facinating..." he said now looking at kasumi, "Breath takingly beautiful..."

Kasumi deep with her thoughts soon she snaps form her mind when Henrietta talks to her. She looks down as she chews on her bottom lip still uneasy around others as she speaks in a sad voice "Someone that I deeply care about has not called..." She looks down and shakes her head "I feel so weak and useless that I can not do anything about it." Sighing to herself "I am sorry that I am saying all of this... just I am so scared that I will lose him. I do not want that to happen.."
Soon her eyes looks to Chris she smiles some "I use to do that when I was a child I still do it today. So it is not as odd as you think. Do not worry what others think as long as it makes you happy do it." Kasumi nods to herself that is how she became an X-men is that she did it she wanted it so bad now she is on.
She closes her eyes and shakes her head. Soon another man she looks at him with her lime green eyes. Daimon Slever soon she nods as she takes his hand softly "I am Kasumi." A smile comes to her lips as she shakes his hand. She does not ask why they are all here much the same that she is here. Wow she is making new friends. It is a good thing soon she blushes some at what Daimon says to her "Thank you... I never thought of myself like that.."
Chris hesitantly shook Daimon's hand. "I'm Chris Berg," he muttered. He didn't like the way the situation had developed. There was too many new people, too much attention directed their way. And even though this mr Slever guy seemed to be friendly enough, the interest both he and the girl who'd served their food showed in mutants made him uncomfortable. He realized that it should be a good thing that humans were interested in mutants (and for all he knew, Daimon was a human) because interest was the first step towards understanding and so on, but he suddenly wished that he was alone. He wasn't used to having people around. He leaned back a bit and let Henri do the talking, it seemed like she knew what she was doing. While they talked, his attention shifted from Daimon Slever to Kasumi. The former was a tall man with a classy way of talking that reminded him of Mongoose... he didn't know what a 'bon vivant' was, though. And the red-haired girl seemed surprisingly non-plussed about sitting next to two mutants. Now he noticed her lime green eyes and the spots on her cheek... maybe she was a mutant too? Or maybe she just had some kind of skin condition? Chris sat silent, looking at the two new persons while he nervously played with his fork.
The girl, named Kasumi, supposedly, was complimented by the odd man. He said his name was Daimon Slever. Chris took the man’s hand as politely as he could. She knew from being with the fish-boy for a short time that he didn’t like people’s attention on him. In fact, it just seemed to make him nervous. Henrietta looked at Daimon. She didn’t like the way he had said “breed”. It made them sound like animals. The ends of her hair began to twitch angrily. Trying to be polite, she plastered a smile on her face and held out her right hand. “Hello, Mr. Slever. My name’s Henrietta.”
Turning to the redhead, she held out her hand again. She smiled in her normal friendly, adorable way. Henri had a way of being charming without meaning to be. Her personality was as authentically sweet and compassionate. “Hello Kasumi. I’m Henrietta. Some people call me Henri and as you heard, this is my friend Chris. It’s nice to meet you. “ She turned and gave Chris a smile to let him know that she understood if didn’t want to talk.
Looking at Daimon again, she felt her smile falter ever so slightly, but it wasn’t enough for the man to notice. Henri felt herself feeling a little guilty for judging the man so quickly, but something about him made her feel anxious. Trying to push those feelings a way, she nodded at the man. “So, why the interest in mutants?” Henrietta’s hair lifted and moved as if she were in a swimming pool.
He smiled a warm smile and took Chris's hand in a firm grasp, "An honor to meet you Chris Berg, I feel privileged to have met a person of such outstanding character and moral fiber" Then turning to Henri and gave her a nod and a wink, " And a pleasure to make your acquaintance Henrietta, I'm charmed to say the least..." He swore he saw her hair twitch or move for a moment, but just chalked it up to an open window or something. "Indeed, words can't express the joy I'm feeling that a woman of such beauty and grace would welcome me so warmly" Then finally turning to Kasumi, taking her hand and kissing the back of it softly, "Cheer up Kasumi dear, a face as radiant and lovely as yours isn't suited to wear an expression of such melancholy..." He patted her hand in a supportive way, "Never let life's hardships disturb you Kasumi ... no one can avoid problems, not even saints or sages"
"Interest my dear?" He asked, "Well it's..." Daimon was cut short by the near impossible movements of Henrietta's hair and for a moment he was dumbfounded before saying, "Marvelous... Simply stunning..." He out stretched a hand as if to touch her hair then drew his hand back, thinking better of it. He laughed for a moment, "Please forgive me, Bad habbit from when i was a child, old habbit eh?" Daimon folded his hands and look into Henri's face, "Well you see, myself like most people are interested in these mutations... Not out of fear, oh no... But fascination, I'm interested in what they can do, what they can become... All beings have a purpose in life, I just want to know what theres is"
((Well, no one else is posting, so I guess I'll type one up. ))
The way the man talked sounded flirty or something. Well, maybe not flirty, but like he was sucking up. He may have really thought those things. How was she suppose to know? The brunette's hair fell back to her shoulders when he apologized for reaching for her hair. "It's fine. When I notice someone has a mutation, I always want to ask tons of questions." The girl smiled slightly and then took a bite of her salad. Setting her fork back down, she took a drink of water from her bottle. Man, I'm hungry.
Daimon said he was interested in what mutants could do. Henri had seen some pretty interesting stuff all right. She wasn't sure what he meant when he had said 'what they could become', but figured she should just drop it. He could go more indepth if he felt like it.
The door to the cafe had made another 'ding'ing noise as someone walked in. She glanced up quickly. All of a sudden she was afraid those thugs had found them. Her breathing became more shallow. They had a knife and Henrietta wasn't sure, but they could even have a gun or something. I may have scared one off, but what if there are more? What if they are part of a gang? What if-
Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw the people who had came in. Of course, it wasn't those men, just a couple of women who were chatting away. The girl stared at them a moment and then looked quickly down. She hoped no one noticed that she had a mini-freak out. Her fork was clutched in her hand as if she intended to use it to defend herself. She didn't remember picking it up because she had been so focused on the door.
>>"An honor to meet you Chris Berg, I feel privileged to have met a person of such outstanding character and moral fiber" Chris looked at Daimon a bit hesitantly. Was he making fun of him? It didn't really seem that way, but you never knew. The young mutant didn't say anything, though, but continued to watch the others talk. When Daimon and Henri started to discuss mutations, or rather peoples' fascination of mutations, he frowned. The people who'd been interested in his mutation out of sheer fascination had so far been shining with their absence. But maybe that wasn't so weird, considering he'd lived next to a very small, isolated community where almost everybody were hostile against mutants. It was probably different here, he'd already met some haters but also people who seemed to be genuinely interested, like the girl behind the counter and Daimon. He'd just have to get used to it.
When the door opened the thought that had been crossing Henri's mind crossed his too - oh no they've followed us. He immediately hunched down, his shoulders went up to the place where his ears would have been if he'd had any. Then he slowly glanced around, and when he saw that it was just a group of people he slowly relaxed his shoulders. He noticed that Henri seemed to be a bit on edge too, and it kinda made him calm down even more to see that he wasn't the only one who was still a bit nervous after the confrontation. "Should be okay," he mumbled. "I think we lost them."

(Sorry my net has been down I am back now ^^)
Kasumi looking at Chris and Henri nodding softly. Soon the man is kissing the back of her hand she blushes some as she speaks "Well it is hard for people to see how good mutant's can be." She closes her eyes softly and shakes her head Kasumi gives a weak smile "I am a poison frog mutant." Soon Kasumi moves her hand showing the spots on her face "The blue and green spots are were my poison glans are. The poison mixes with my blood so I can sling it. I can stick and walk on anything. I can leap far and turn and land on me feet much like a frog can." Kasumi was proud in what powers she has. The poison is something that she is very happy with. Something that her body makes. Yet she is not sure if it will get stronger yet it can in time. Kasumi sees the two on edge. She blinks a few times "Did you get attacked?" Kasumi can not help but to feel some anger. Why do humans do this? She shakes her head as she closes her eyes taking in a few deep breaths. She wonders about so much. Kasumi is not sure what is going on anymore.
((It’s fine. I’m glad it’s working again. Anyway, I apologize if Spectre sees that I’ve skipped him. I just had nothing else to post on and I figure he can jump back in if we don’t go too far. If either or you talk to him, please remind him of this thead.))
Kasumi asked Henrietta if they’d been attacked. The brunette dropped the fork and it made a clanking noise as it hit the table. Chris mumbled that they should be okay and that he thought that they lost them. The girl nodded slightly and turned to Kasumi. “Yeah, some guys were trying to mug us just before we came here.” She glanced at Chris. “They could tell he was a mutant and my hair began to move wildly. They knew we both were then. They said they wouldn’t let us go unless we gave them all of our stuff.” Henri shook her head. “Neither of us have that much though.”
She had just met Chris a little earlier, but was glad that he had been with her. She wasn’t sure what would have happened if he hadn’t been there. One man had had a knife. She couldn’t help but think that they could’ve died. The thought made her feel like she was about to be sick all over the small café. I hope I don't actually throw up. That would be so gross.
Daimon smiled, "my, my, my..." and looked toward the door as well, "Are you expecting anyone hostile?" He asked with a chuckle in his voice, and tapping his finger on the business end of her fork. "Not quite the blade for a warrior..." He shrugged his shoulders, "But i've seen people do more with less" Sitting back in his chair he absent mindedly begane to run his fingers over something under his suit, around his neck and shoulders. "You don't have to worry about contemptuous, arrogant, near sighted, racist yokels out there when im around..." Daimon said with a bit of a grin, "Im kind of a big shot around here... It's amazing what kind of influence you can achieve with a nice suit, loads of money and charisma oozing out of every pore in my body" ending with a loud belly laugh.
"But all comedy aside, I've always wanted to get into a fight... would be even more enjoyable if i could chuck some fire balls at the bad guy like some of you fine people can, heh heh" He stopped laughing for a moment and looked rather surprised with himself. "B-But I don't you... you people, I know you guys can't sling fire balls but you get what I mean..." turning to Henrietta "But i mean like lashing the thug hard enough to give him split ends" turning to face Chris "Or give the guy a thrashing he'd not soon forget" he chuckled and balled up his fists like a British boxer "Come on man, you look like a scrapper, heh heh" lightly punching him on his arm. "Or..." this time leaning on his elbow and gazing at Kasumi, "Or simply just slay them with cute-ness"
Chris listened when Kasumi described her mutation. Well, that explained the dark spots on her skin. It sounded like she was proud over her powers, and why wouldn't she? It would be great to have powers like those, powers that actually could be useful for something. He tried not to look jealous. Then he listened to Henri when she explained about their brief encounter with the muggers. She still sounded upset, and he wished that he could say something encouraging to her. Nothing came to his mind, though. Daimon said something that sounded pretty reassuring - he was probably right that no-one would bother them as long as he sat there. That the guy was some kind of big shot was obvious even to Chris, with the stylish clothes and classy way of talking. And he certainly wasn't lacking self-confidence. Besides, they were a rather big group now. It would be easy for a gang to pick on two young mutants - it would be harder when there were three mutants and a human. Besides, they were inside a café. Chris began to realize that he probably was safer now than he'd been during the time he'd spent alone in Central Park; he still felt uncomfortable with all the people around, but his attitude against Kasumi and Daimon got slightly more relaxed.
When Daimon explained how he'd like to be able to sling fireballs at people and then corrected himself, saying that he knew that none of them could shoot fireballs, Chris realized that the man was probably trying not to step on any toes. He thought he recognized the guys carefulness - Chris himself wasn't used to other mutants and was always worried that he might offend someone. However, when Daimon aimed a playful light punch against Chris's arm, the young mutant quickly shied away. He wasn't worried that the older man would actually punch him, but he still reacted reflexively to all sudden movements. He shrugged and said: "I'm... not really a fighter, mr Slever."
The man, Slever, poked Henri’s fork. She looked at him nervously. He told her it wasn’t much of a weapon. I bet it would hurt if I wanted it to…Daimon kept telling Kasumi how pretty she was. It made the brunette feel a little nauseous. He was being such a flirt with her. He then said something about giving the enemy split ends. She tried to give him a good-natured smile, but felt that he was poking fun at her power. Something about this man made her nervous. She just decided to keep an eye on him.
He punched Chris lightly and he pulled back a little. He told him that he wasn’t much of a fighter. She could see that. Chris seemed like a timid person. That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it could be a problem. He stepped it up when they were under attack. She figured he would be okay if he was ever in a bad situation again. Henrietta smiled at the fish-boy.
Kasumi was a frog mutant? Henri then realized she was hanging out with a fish and a frog. It made her almost giggle out loud, but she didn’t. She didn’t care if someone was a mutant, it just seemed odd to her. It seemed that the group should’ve been hanging out near some water.

(oh water water inside poll! Ok I stop now LOL)
Kasumi looks around she blinks a few times Daimon seems to have alot going for him. With everything she is staying at the mission trying to get on her feet. Even if she has been here for over a year she knows what need's to be done. When she hears Daimon talking about her slaying people with her cuteness Kasumi inhales her tea and starts to cough soon she shakes her head.
Speaking "Being an X-men is more then slaying people with cuteness. You really have to know what you are doing." She nods Kasumi knows about that now. She worked hard to become one and she is very proud to help others. She can not hide what she is. Kasumi leans back in her chair as she looks at Chris "That is fine but it seems you will be very good at dogeing." Kasumi smiles to him. There is nothing wrong about that.
When Kasumi first came to the mission she had no idea how to fight. Yet she can hold her own now with many moves it is a good thing. Kasumi sees Henri still with a smile "Well you can use a fork but I will trust your hair over anything." Kasumi knows how hard it is to get use to powers. In the past her poison came with fear but now she can call on it with will.
