The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael nodded, then also directed his attention to Victoria, deciding to let the conversation between the women resume before he tried to but in with something new.
Victoria was listening very intently to Tricity's explanation and suggestion to see "DocProf" and Mike when another person made themself known in the room. She smiled politely and nodded at Raphael as he was introduced. "Hello." She said quietly to him, turning her attention between the two as they began to converse. "No, it's alright." She reassured him just as Tricity had done.
"Your genuinely want to help people here, don't you?" Victoria began to search Tricity's eyes, remembering what she had mentioned about a psychological evaluation. She had never considered that her past had been a part of what she was going through in keeping control of her powers. The thought disturbed her, her mind slipping into the memories of her past. "I appreciate the open invitation, Tricity." She snapped her mind back into the moment when she noticed her hands starting to slip into the sides of the chair and her body sink lower. Pulling herself up again, she looked quickly to see if either of them had noticed. She gave Tricity a sideways smirk through her saddened expression. "Perhaps I will go see the DocProf."
"Yes, of course. He's on the second floor at the end of the corridor you come to when you reach the top of the stairs. Let me know how the evaluation goes so we can get started on helping you better control your mutation, alright? Don't hesitate to come by; even if it's late. I sleep all weird hours of the night, thanks to the pregnancy." *She braced the side of the armchair and stood up slowly.* "He's a really sweet and wise old man. He'll be able to help you in some fashion."
Raphael remained quiet, listening to the two. He must have landed it lucky, he could control his mutation, at least outside of its initial appearance. That memory still ran a shudder down his spine. "Anythin' I can do to help?" He blurted out, watching one woman sink deeper into her chair, must be an over-stuffed chair, and the other rise up. His gaze skittered between them as he waited a reply.
"Do you know where the infirmary is, Raphael? Maybe you can accompany Victoria upstairs, then?" *She asked, while looking down at her watch.* "I have to go to class soon, guys."
Raphael gave a nod. "Spent three days just wandering around and learnin' most of the layout here." He gave a grin. "Learnin' where the allowed places are atleast..." He said with a nod, then noticing her glance at her watch. "Can I catch you later Tricity? I've got questions about classes, and the best way back into the city, day trips of course... but later." He pushed himself up from the chair he had flopped down in, and looked to Victoria and extended his hand to help her up, while waving Tricity off. "I know where the infirmary is, Follow me."
"Bye you two. Let me know how it goes, ok Victoria? Thanks a lot Raphael." *Tricity stretched her back and shuffled across the room in her big, black, fuzzy slippers to get to her next art class she had to teach.*
Nodding at Tricity, Victoria took Raphael's hand with a welcome smile. "Thanks." She slid her hand back to her side once she stood. She had always felt awkward when paid attention to, despite the fact that her appearance begged for such attention. "I'll let you what the good doctor says." Her smile broadened as she addressed Tricity, a flicker of hope starting to grow inside her.
Turning her attention to Raphael, Victoria instinctually tossed her pony tail back over her shoulder and looked expectantly at him. "So, where to now, mate?"
He returned her smile as she took his hand and rose. He watched Victoria regard Tricity, and smiled at what he read as hope glow through her eyes for a moment, then answered her question. "Out into the hallway, taka left and down to the stairwell and up." He stated, right hand working infront of him as he recalled the route. "Down the hall, first door on the left. Ready?" He said the last word as he turned towards the door and headed that way, though waited for her to join him. "Tell me 'bout your abilities en route, unless I'm being too forward... in which case, we can talk about hobbies... or, ah, just silence." His talk droned on a moment, as a wave of shyness hit him, and to which he shook his head a moment, then smiled at her, waiting response and her to join him at the door.
"You seem to know where we're going." Victoria raised her brows as she followed Raphael's hand as it motioned the route. She found her eyes travelling up his forearm, though, noticing the bone protrusions coming out near his elbows. She then immediately wondered to herself what his mutant abilities were and how many types of mutants existed.
"Oh, I don't mind anymore." She replied to his suggestion of describing her abilities. Now that she was at the school, she was surrounded by mutants; something she had never done before. Feeling more relaxed in the company, Victoria didn't feel as aprehensive to talk about her abilities.
She began to walk out of the room and into the hallway with Raphael, beginning to describe her plight as best she could recall. "I suppose you could say that I don't know what I am totally capable of. You see, once I realized I was a mutant and how much of a problem my powers would become, all I was able to do was learn to keep my concentration so I didn't use them." She looked sideways at Raphael, noting his reaction and realizing thst she hadn't said what her powers were. "You see, I can pass through solid objects." She waved her hand in front of her as if something were about to happen. "It can be quite problematic when you're trying to walk and next thing you know your leg is a foot underground." She sighed. "I also can turn invisible, apparently." Victoria flexed her fingers in front of her and then drew her hand to her chest. "Also not too helpful when you're in the public eye." Her lips pursed as she twisted it to the side; remembering. "People aren't too forgiving of young mutants."
