The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Uh. Not sure. Never actually been there. Just know about it." Bryce trailed off. "Can you think of anyone else who would want to tag alone...or someone with a car..." He had to chuckle after that last part. He wanted a car. But with no job and no money, it wasn't a luxury he could be supplied with.
"honestly, nope. I mean, I know quite a bit of people here, but I don't know if anyone'll go with us." Fade shrugged. "It would be nice if we had a car, though, but I can't drive and I don't know anyone else that can, least, no one comes to mind right now."

This shattered Bryce's spirit a little bit. "Well...I'm sure I know some people who'd want to go." Bryce wasn't a total loner here. He had a few friends that came to mind. "And if all else fails. We could walk to the bus stop a few blocks down..." he finished his statement with a confident nod and was ready to hit the road. But first he'd ask around a bit...
After sneaking themselves into the mansion when Tricity brought the other two in, Victoria suddenly found herself alone in the mansion. She couldn't help but be in awe of the gorgeous building she was standing in. Knowing that it was a school to mutants made it all the more exciting.
Wandering around for a few minutes, Victoria found herself in what looked like a Living Room. She sat down on one of the couches and took in the sight. Another awe-inspiring room. Pulling her hair back and up into a pony tail, she expertly pulled the hair band from around her wrist and tied her hair back and out of her face. She took a moment to smooth down the top and pull her bangs around her ears and then looked for a phone. She figured that if she were planning to stay a while she would have to get her things from the hotel.
Finally finding a phone in the room, she quietly picked up the receiver and called the operator. Once through to the hotel, she asked if she could have her things shipped to the mansion. The entire time she looked at her surroundings. People passed through the hall but didn't seem to notice her there; as if she were invisible without having used her powers.
Putting down the receiver just as quickly as she had lifted it up, Victoria quietly made her way to an overstuffed chair, picking up a book that was left on the table beside her. Opening to the front pages she took another look around. No one would mind if she sat there to read until she was discovered. Pulling her legs up so her feet were tucked beside her, Victoria opened the first pages of the book, occasionally peeking around to see who was passing by.
*Tricity came in through the living room and saw an unfamiliar face. God knows there were a lot of people coming to the mansion lately, but she was good with faces.* "Uh, hi? My name is Tricity, I'm the headmistress here. Are you a new student?" *She walked over to a recliner near the guest so they could talk more privately.*
"Oh," Victoria was suddenly startled when a very pregnant woman entered the room. She apparently had gotten too involved in her book. After the woman introduced herself as Tricity, Victoria straightened her posture, putting her feet on the ground and the book in her lap. "I'm Victoria." She said with wide eyes as if to drink in all that she could through meeting with the Headmistress. "I arrived here with Fade not too long ago..." she motioned her hand in the direction towards the door. "but I'm afraid that she has gone off and dissapeared." She suddenly felt her cheeks flush, realizing what she had just said. "I'm sorry, no pun intended, of course." A light smile played on her lips as she looked sheepishly at Tricity. Her eyes sank to the ground, slightly embarassed that, at her age, she had come to a school to look for help. "I understand that you help mutants here...help them...control their powers." Her mind was wrapped up so much in thought that she didn't know how to put into words what she had been thinking. At least she had found the right person to answer the questions she had carried with her for so many years.

*As Jason walked down the stairs he looked in on the living room to find a few people hanging out watching TV. As he walked toward the group he politely asked.* "Excuse me, but does anyone here know where I can get a little bit of training done, my muscles are starting to get cold from meditating?"
*Tricity smiled at the young woman as she introducted herself and began asking the same questions many mutants had on their minds.* "We do help them control their powers, indeed. Are you having trouble with yours? *Tricity turned to Jason as he came into the room before Victoria had the chance to answer. She pointed down the hallway for him to understand.* "Well, the Danger Room is just down the hall there. But, be sure to not put the level up too high at first. Start with level 1 just to be sure you know what you're handling, ok? Oh and there is a basketball and tennis court outside of the mansion grounds along with a pool around the back of the mansion."
Victoria turned her head almost in shame as Tricity asked if she was having trouble with her powers. She looked up briefly as the woman addressed another mutant entered the room with a question and then turned her attention back to her.
"Yes." She stated simply, her ming racing with all the times that a loss of control got her into troubled situations; the most recent being at the mall that day. "Ever since they started I've had problems with them. It's been over ten years and the best I've been able to manage is to stop myself from using them." As the words came out she realized that Tricity's school could potentially help her. Sinking back into the chair, Victoria was careful to not let herself sink through it. "As it seems, I can turn invisible." She raised her hands in front of her face and turned them over to look at the palms. "I can also pass through things; invisible or not." A small inaudible sigh escaped her lips as she reflected on what she was telling Tricity. "In all this time being a mutant on my own, I can only keep myself from doing those things...but every once in a while, I lose consentration, a strange feeling comes over me and next thing I know, I have a broken leg because it's stuck in between floors." She let out an embarassed laugh, lightly touching her leg. She had many broken bones over the years from similar situations.
This was something that she didn't want anymore and Tricity looked like her only hope.
*Tricity imagined it being extrememly frustrating having an ability like that.* "Well, we can definitely help you control your mutation. But it may take time. It probably won't happen overnight." *She began explaining as she did for a lot of new residents of the mansion that had troubles with their mutations.* "We have what's called a Danger Room. It's a very high tech-y room that starts simulations to help mutants practice using their powers. We'll start you with simple things like putting objects in the room for you to pass through, but they'll be simulations so you won't get hurt. From there we'll try and figure out what's wrong." *She didn't want to offend the girl, but whatever was necessary to stop her from having problems needed to be said.* "Maybe you're having problems because of psychologic or emotional reasons. The DocProf is a very powerful healer in the infirmary and you can ask him to give you a check up to see if there's anything he can help you with. Also, resident named Mike is a telepath. He might be able to fish around for some answers, if we can't fix things and you wouldn't mind his help."
Raphael got up from the quiet corner of the living room he had drifted off to sleep in and made his way over to the pair of women. "Evenin' Miss Tricity... Miss," He addressed them in turn, then hoped he was not interupting anything particularly important, or rather that they would tell him if he had. "How are things going?" He said in his attempt at being friendly.
*Tricity smiled and sat back in the chair as Deltoid came over to join them.* "Hi, hun. Please...Tricity is fine. If you're that attached to the Miss, go with Miss Tricity." *She pointed over to Victoria in the seat.* "Raphael, this is Victoria. Victoria, meet Raphael. Both of you guys are quite new to the mansion." *Tricity decided the conversation with Victoria would have to be less personal, but they could still talk about what to do with her problems in her mutation.*
"As you wish Tricity," Raphael responded, then nodded to Victoria. "Pleasure to meetcha Miss Victoria." He then let himself flop down into a chair. "I'm not interrupting am I? I can leave if I am." Though it looked as though he had already made himself comfy.
