The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Her eyes were closed tightly, tears still pouring out of them. The same words were repeated over and over into her mind as Sam wrapped something onto her hand. It hurt only slightly but Alexandra didn’t pay too much attention, too much she was focused upon the feeling roaming trough her soul at the moment. Only when coldness reached her skin she opened her eyes, glancing at her hand. Then at Sam, with a bit of curiosity as he kissed the bandaged hand.
”What’s your fault?”
Alexandra blinked, eyes lowering from Sam’s face upon the floor. Everything.
”What ever you did couldn’t have been that bad, not enough reason feel like this. You can tell me Alex, cause your beast doesn’t like seeing you like this…”
Her lower lip trembled as she tried to hold back another wave of tears. I started a bloody war. Those whom I tried to “to protect are dead… or captured.” Her voice was barely a whisper, one which she wasn’t aware that was coming out of her mouth.
Blue eyes snapped at Sam, following his every feature with such attention that almost bordered madness. Alexandra blinked away the tears away as she finally stopped on Sam’s eyes. She… she had joined the X-Men in Romania to protect Sam… to keep him out of harm’s way but … she had tried to protect other before and failed. Badly. Alexandra was afraid, and for the first time she wasn’t afraid for herself.
Her hands found the way to the sides of Sam’s face. “I fear…” Alexandra closed her eyes, stopping in mid-breath. “I…” Biting her lip, she wrapped her hands around Sam’s neck, resting her head on his shoulder. “I don’t want you to get hurt.” She tightened the embrace, opening her eyes to stare at the wall. “Just leave Sam. Go back to New York… Please.”

He blinked and thought for a moment, she was worried about those she tried to protect, he could gather that much from what she had said but there was little she could do about it. ”Crying like this won’t do much good right now, I’ll tell you what someone once told me, the dead are dead, we can do nothing to change that, mourn for them when you can that’s all you can do, remember them.” Sam leaned in and kissed her forehead. He didn’t want what he had said to be taken the wrong way even though he knew it sounded a little insensitive. ”What you can do Al, is help those that are alive those that are captured, we, we will help them Alex, so no more tears okay?”
Taking a thumb and brushing her face Sam smiled to her and gave her a quick squeeze. ”That’s why we are here after all, you have an entire team to count on to help you not only that but Slate as well.” he gave her another squeeze and listened as she continued on spitting out words till the formed a sentence in his head. Her arms wrapping his neck was nice but what wasn’t he had expected to match with the words. She wanted him to leave? She was worried about him.
”You know I can’t do that Alex,” Sam said quickly as he pulled away from the embrace so she could see his face and how serious he was about this. ”You have nothing to worry about Alex, I won’t die, lived to much to let it all end here, besides there is far to many things I want to do before I get myself killed.” he leaned in and kissed her, ”And I have you and so many others that are counting on my help, I can’t leave them Alex and I won’t so please don’t ask me again.”
Pulling Alex back into a embrace that he ended moments before Sam placed his forehead on hers and said, ”Besides, who will take care of you when your like this if I leave?”
Sam refused to listen. She closed her eyes, somewhere between the tears letting out a sigh. He didn’t understand.
Kisses and words didn’t make her feel better either. He spoke of dead staying dead. She begged to differ. From beyond a grave, her father’s plan was going on like he was still among the living. Perhaps, even better.
And Sam had promised her that he wouldn’t die. She wasn’t talking about dying. So much as a scratch and she’d still be the one responsible for it. Alexandra sighed again, bitterly remembering that promises were meant to be broken. Just how many promises were made to her or just how many promises had she made and only were shattered in millions of pieces?
Blue eyes opened as she was pulled back into a hug. “I wouldn’t forgive myself if anything happened to you.” Alexandra whispered, closing her eyes once again. Her head felt quite heavy. The darkness was appealing, and with velvety soft claws was slowly pulling her away.
It felt strange really. With alcohol, her emotions were amplified. Anger, affection. It didn’t matter. When only minutes ago she was yelling at Sam, claiming she didn’t want his presence, now the only thing she wanted is to put him somewhere far away and lock him until the danger passed. Strange, indeed, to feel something like this for someone else who wasn’t herself…
She didn’t want him to take care of her. Mentally, Alexandra shook her head. No. The only thing that would have made her feel better wasn’t knowing him watching over her. No, it was him, far away from this situation, even if it meant far away from her, even if it hurt.
Alexandra felt not only her head heavier, but all of her body, muscles refusing to listen as she commanded them to contract. Eyelids didn’t obey her command to open. Somehow, she was surprised that she had managed to speak. “You do not understand.” She concluded, while being dragged away into yet another world. One where she could either be tortured even more or seek comfort into the void that sleep ensued.
But then again, drunk or not, she didn’t actually expect Sam to understand. To listen and follow her advice. It was a desperate gesture from her part, in an attempt to protect Sam. Half asleep, she turned her head to the side, slightly nudging Sam’s neck with her nose.
“Stay with me tonight.” Were the last words she spoke before completely falling asleep and becoming oblivious to the world outside of Sam’s arms.

Sam snorted slightly as she said she wouldn’t forgive herself if something happened to her, it was like she was taking credit for this whole mess. In fact there was little she should take credit for, getting drunk like this that was something she could take credit for, after all she was the one that decided it was a good way to handle things even if Sam might have pushed her in that direction. ”I don’t need someone to look after me like a child Alex, I’ve been through a lot believe it or not so try not to worry about me to much.” leaning in he kiss the woman who was falling asleep in his arms and he continued to rock her.
She didn’t even have to tell him, or ask of it, there was no way he would leave her alone to hurt herself more. However once she was fully asleep Sam somehow managed to toss a blanket over he went to the bathroom to clean up the glass. Twenty minutes and he was back into her bed right alongside her under the blanket. Her shirtless and he fully clothed, imagining it would cause some questions in the morning Sam fell asleep with a grin on his face as one arm of his stretched over her side and pulled her in close.
The peaceful slumber of Alexandra Kettler was disturbed by a patch of light that in the previous hours had slowly traveled across the room, preparing an attack on the unsuspecting molecule manipulator.
She winced at the intrusion as she was swiftly dragged from the land of dreamless sleep while trying to crack her eyes open. It was then when a few things happened simultaneously. First, the light burned trough her eyes like lasers, making Alexandra to instantaneously close her eyes to stop any further damage. Then, the headache. Or maybe headache was such a kind word. It felt like someone was drilling its way to her brain while inside of her head drums were being played without a stop. And last, nausea crept up slowly. It wasn’t intense, and yet, combined with the previous symptoms, it was disturbing.
Slowly, she shifted the position of her head slightly, so now the light didn’t reach her closed eyes, and, deciding that sleep would make everything go away, she prepared herself to slip back to sleep. That is, until someone breathed on her skin. Correction. Someone breathed on her boobs.
Shocked, Alexandra gasped, blue eyes snapping open and looking down at the blondish hair that adorned the head who had decided to use her boobs as pillows more or less. Okay… She rose her head from the pillow, only for a brief moment, for unfortunately it felt heavier than usual. However, the short glance, revealed some rather interesting things to the molecule manipulator. Like… the fact that she was wearing only her bra… while Sam’s nose was stuck somewhere really close to her ta-tas. Oh, she didn’t even want to consider thinking where his mouth was. Alexandra glanced again at Sam’s hair, confused.
What the hell happened last night?
With an increase in the intensity of the headache that most likely accompanied the process of thought, the molecule manipulator tried to go back in time, in an attempt to reveal the secret that enveloped the position she was currently in. Alexandra clearly remembered her off the record mission with Kaz… her injury… the fight with Sam. Then, her angry storming out of the hotel and apparently dragging Lily along. All these were clear to her, at least until she put her lips on the first glass of … what was that called? Lost Angel? Lost Angel in Paradise? Oh yes, Lost Paradise. From there on, only brief images of her and Jewel discussing about… boys? Then the hotel, an elevator, her and Sam stuck inside and Kaz posing as the savior.
Alexandra blinked as images stopped once she had entered the room and laid her eyes on a bottle of something. No, she needed to know what happened after! Why was she half naked? And on a side not, Sam still had his shirt on. That was always a good thing, right?
Damn. She needed to remember what happened, and quick. But how? Lazily, blue eyes wandered across the room, finally stopping on the bathroom’s door. Maybe getting some water on her face, or what the hell, a cold shower would be in the benefit of her memories. Alexandra tried to move. Fail. An arm, laid possessively on her waist didn’t allow any movements. But, but… she needed to get there, before Sam would wake up and face him without even knowing what happened. She needed to reach the bathroom, Alexandra decided, determination written all across her face. Carefully, she removed the hand she had wrapped around Sam and grabbing Sam’s arm with it, she tried to remove it from her body.

It had been a while since Sam was able to have a peaceful sleep since the whole lab incident but for the first time in a while he was awaken by something other than his dreams and his alarm. The area from which he was sleeping on seemed to shift and move, reluctantly opening his eyes he knew he had to get up so slowly he rose looking at the thing that served as his bed for most of the night. Eyes now open he was eyeing his girlfriend in nothing but a bra. Blinking once then twice Sam smiled and rubbed the back of his head with a yawn and asked, ”How are you feeling?”
The look on her face told Sam that she didn’t recall some of the night an example of the memory loss might have had something to do with her being in a bra and he still fully clothed. Looking at her chest for a moment and not feeling that guilty seeing as she was now sober Sam grinned slightly and said, ”You had a long night, if you want I can try and fill you in after you get a shower, sound good?” the shower was a must; he knew last night that was how she wanted to end the night but unfortunately for her that didn’t happen. That and he knew that a nice shower would help relieve the headache and help get her up and moving.
”If you want I can order you some breakfast as well.” his eyes were fixed on her face as Sam handed her shirt from the night before that he had collected and placed by the bed just incase she managed to freak out in the morning. Surprisingly she was taking her being near topless after a night of forgetting pretty well.
Mission was failed, and, for a moment Alexandra just wanted to melt, vanish, whatever. Sam, on the other hand, seemed pretty cool about it, even asking with nonchalance how was she feeling. Alexandra blinked, confusion lingering in her eyes. Peachy. Then… Sam looked down. At her chest. At her chest, covered by only a bra. And she wished the earth would open up and swallow her completely.
Red crept up her cheeks as she starred at Sam. He grinned at her! Suddenly, the earth swallowing her seemed to take so long. How about suddenly combusting into flames. Her throat was dry as she wanted to give him a positive answer to his following question. Without any words really wanting to come out of her mouth, Alexandra just nodded. And blinked. Again and again and again.
”If you want I can order you some breakfast as well.”
The thought of breakfast only made her nausea grow stronger. Alexandra shook her head, then repented doing this for it seemed like her brains were spinning around her head at amazing speed. She blinked again a couple of times, and just when the headache softened a little and her vision cleared up, Sam was offering her a shirt. Without much of a thought, Alexandra took it and hugged it closely to her chest, in the attempt to cover up her body. Geez, it wasn’t like she was gonna dress with Sam watching her.
With the shirt covering her, Alexandra got up, standing on the edge of the bed for a moment before getting up on her feet. A promise was made to herself. God, she wasn’t drinking again. Ever. Clearing her throat, Alexandra glanced at Sam, with high hopes that the reddish tint on her cheeks would be gone by now. “You think you can order a couple of lemons?” Alexandra asked, quickly turning her head back, the motion intensifying the headache. She winced. “And some painkillers, maybe?” Alexandra added while getting up. With steps as fast as she could handle in her current situation, she reached the bathroom door, pondering if she should say anything else.
Since there was nothing that came into her mind, Alexandra simply relied on just entering the bathroom and sigh. What was it with her and embarrassing situations?
Twenty minutes later, Alexandra Kettler was getting out of the bathroom, body clad securely in a robe, with water dripping out of her hair and many other questions added to the already existing ones. Like where the bathroom mirror disappeared… and how exactly did she hurt her hand and ended up with a piece of Sam’s shirt wrapped around her hand. Sighing again, she stopped in the middle of the room, folding her arms and looking at Sam. “So… I owe you a new shirt, I believe?”

Her cheeks filled with blood as she blushed watching her hold a shirt of her own close to her chest, Sam could only think of one thing and it wasn’t really productive to the situation, “Cute!” but it wasn’t like he hadn’t seen what she was working with before. Deciding to hold off on the teasing he nodded his head simply upon the request of lemons and painkillers. Watching her walk away Sam made the call down to the front desk for room service. After the call Sam looked at his watch and let out a small laugh, first time he was ever up and hour early here.
Waiting around for Alex to exit the shower or the food to arrive Sam relaxed on her be finding this was the only time he had to just sit in a long time. Forty minutes and he would need to start getting ready for the day but for now… eyes turning to the newly showered and robed woman in front of him Sam smiled. ”Don’t worry about the shirt, I have plenty, side you can have the rest of it if you’d like. It’d be big on you anyways.”
Rolling to the side of the bed and standing up Sam walked over to Alex and pulled her into a hug and then kissed her quickly on the cheek, ”You had a long night, might be easier to explain everything over breakfast which should be arriving in a few minutes.” looking over to the door Sam grinned as the smell of a delicious breakfast and a loud knock on the door could be heard. Relaxing Alex from the hug he went over to open the door.
It was the same woman from the night before, she looked worried to say the least, ”Don’t worry, everyone is fine, she fell asleep after you left and I already cleaned the mess, so you can tell housekeeping not to worry.” watching the woman’s sigh of relief Sam grinned and took the trays from her gave her a tip then brought the trays in. carefully lowering them on the table so the contents wouldn’t spill Sam looked to Alex and said, ”Hope you like eggs, I also told them to give you a few banana’s to make your transition from hangover to not easier.”
Sitting down and removing the covers of the trays Sam set them down to the side and sat down in his chair, ”Now where to begin…” Sam said deep in thought as he took a sip of his coffee, ”Guess the best place to start would be the mirror, and my torn shirt.” he paused and looked up to her and said, ”You punched the mirror and shattered it into pieces.” Sam took a piece of toast and took a large chunk of it and shrugged.
”Don’t worry about the shirt, I have plenty, side you can have the rest of it if you’d like. It’d be big on you anyways.”
How? How was Sam so cool about everything? Alexandra refrained from letting her jaw hang low, to watching Sam with a bit of a stare as he walked over to hug and kiss her cheek. Like a statue, Alexandra stood there, really unable to move or say something. Just stare.
”You had a long night, might be easier to explain everything over breakfast which should be arriving in a few minutes.”
The sole mentioning of breakfast made her even more nauseous. With a frown, she watched Sam getting to the door once someone knocked at it. Alexandra assumed that it was room service. The door opened and the delicious smell of food… made her growl and grit her teeth together. Certainly, her stomach did not found the food appealing this morning. The woman outside appeared vaguely familiar and, she also seemed worried. Alexandra did not understand why.
”Don’t worry, everyone is fine, she fell asleep after you left and I already cleaned the mess, so you can tell housekeeping not to worry.”
This time Alexandra could no longer restrain herself from letting her jaw hang low. What?! The molecule manipulator blinked confused. Now, really. What the hell happened last night? She was still standing in the middle of the room, stunned, by the time Sam was getting back in, trays of food in hand. Her stomach protested again.
”Hope you like eggs, I also told them to give you a few banana’s to make your transition from hangover to not easier.”
Alexandra closed her mouth, eyeing the food without much interest. Nothing looked appealing. Well, minus the lemons and the bottle of painkillers. “I think I’ll have to pass.” She finally said, sighing. She moved from the middle of the room, pocketing the piece of shirt in her hand, and moved to the tray where the lemons and painkillers where. Quietly she opened the bottle.
”Now where to begin…”
Looking briefly at Sam, Alexandra let two pills slip out of the bottle, then reached out for the glass of water.
”Guess the best place to start would be the mirror, and my torn shirt.”
Yeah, she agreed with that. Nodding slightly, she put the glass to her lips, gulping down the water.
”You punched the mirror and shattered it into pieces.”
Alexandra choked with the water. The water in her mouth returned into the glass in a non-gracious, totally not lady-like manner. Well, at least she didn’t spit it out on Sam, which it always was a good thing. Coughing and wiping the water from her mouth with the sleeve of her robe, she looked at Sam, still hoping that he was joking. Her hopes were shattered. No, apparently she really did it. Blue eyes shifted to her injured hand. That certainly explained why her hand looked like that. Alexandra sighed while placing the glass back on the tray. “Well, there goes my hopes that I got this-” She rose the injured hand slightly “while a really vicious window was trying to maul me.” Letting her hand drop back down, Alexandra locked her eyes on Sam. “So why exactly I picked a fight with a bathroom mirror?”

He grinned when she passed on the food, it was either you were starving or sick at the sight of food, never both and it seemed she was revolted at the sight. Maybe this was a good lesson not to drunk so much. He had this lesson not to long ago and so far he had learned from it not really drinking more than the occasional drink every once and a while. Taking a bite of the eggs after he spoke he kept smiling to Alex who was busy spitting up water when he mentioned the mirror.
”No window this time, and as to why you did it, I can only assume it was the same reason you were drinking as much as you did last night.” Sam decided against mentioning the fact that she broke down into tears over her fear of those who were hurt and or dead because of her and he didn’t mention her worry for him. It would have been a lot to process and seeing as she had yet to say anything about it when she was sober Sam decided it didn’t need to be said now.
Another bite of his eggs and a sip of his coffee Sam was ready to continue onward with the remembrance of the night before, ”I over reacted last night when I saw you and Kaz together walking into your room and I tried to apologize later on during the night but by that time you already pretty tanked.” Sam gave her a sad smile before sipping his coffee again, ”You dragged Jewel out for drinks from the sound of it then came back here later last night, from there you two caused a big stir in the lobby then you threatened Abram who was working the main desk because you didn’t want to settle down. He called me and from there I had to carry you to your room.”
A quick sip of coffee and some pepper on his eggs Sam took another bite and then continued, ”Now this is from what I gathered, I might be missing some information but other than that, the night was pretty dull.” unpeeling a banana Sam held it up to Alex and he said in a stern voice, ”Eat, other wise I’ll be worried about you when Jewel and I go on our mission.”
”No window this time, and as to why you did it, I can only assume it was the same reason you were drinking as much as you did last night.”
Alexandra looked at Sam, frowning slightly. Did she punch a mirror because of him? Blinking lazily, she picked up the glass of water, rotating it slightly in her hand, watching the water as it spun inside the glass while continuing to listen to Sam.
Her cheeks reddened again when Sam mentioned Abram. She remembered that, quite clearly. Heh, he’d better think twice before putting up with Alexandra Kettler. Then Sam mentioned Lily. She wondered what her partner in crime was doing. Well, at least there had been a bright side to this fiasco. Got the girl to admit her feelings for Mr. Streaky boo. Smiling slightly at her thoughts, she looked back at Sam while he motioned her to eat or else he’d feel worried while on mission with Jewel.
That reminded her of her own mission with Streak. The thought made her wince. Certainly, she wasn’t in the mood for a mission right now. Sighing, she eyed the food, again showing no interest in it. Shaking her head, Alexandra got up, glass still in hand. “I still have to say no, Sam. My stomach is not in the proper condition to deal with food right now.” Sighing again, she moved toward the bathroom, dismissing the remaining water in the sink before returning to the room. “I should check on Lily before you two go.” Tilting her head to the side, she glanced slightly at Sam before occupying herself with slicing the lemons in half and squeezing the juice in the now empty glass. “I hope the night turned out well for her.” She added, squeezing half a lemon into the glass. “Must have turned better than mine. After all, last time I saw her, Streak was taking care of her.” Smiling her all-knowing smile, Alexandra placed the drained half a lemon on the tray while moving on to the next.

Nodding his head he smiled and took another bite of his food and then spoke up, ”And Streak taking care of Jewel is a good thing?” Sam asked curiously as his coffee slid down his throat. He never was on the up and an up with relationships unless there were some rumors going around the mansion and so far he hasn’t heard anything about Streak and Jewel.
”You can check on her if you’d like we have two hours before we hit the hunting scene.” finishing his toast with a loud crunch he looked up at Alex and how miserable she seemed to feel and oddly enough Sam felt somewhat good, maybe it meant she wouldn’t do this again, maybe it also meant that something like this happened they could have talked about it.
Another sip of coffee and Sam was looking to Alex who was drinking lemon juice ”Your still not mad are you?” he asked curiously hiding his expression into a bite of eggs and a sip of juice this time. He did try to apologize last night but either she ignored him or couldn’t hear him, either way he wanted to make sure they were on better terms than they were last night.
”I over reacted Alex, and I’m sorry…” he set his fork down and looked at the contents of his plate half eaten and his empty cup of coffee. He didn’t bother to look up to Alex at this point because if there was any unresolved feelings left over from the night before he would have preferred to hear them opposed to seeing them.
”And Streak taking care of Jewel is a good thing?”
Alexandra didn’t even try to hide a smile at this question. Glancing up at Sam while squeezing the lemons into the glass, she gave him a small nod. “Of course. Lily likes Streak. And I believe that Streak likes Lily as well. I am quite curious on how they are doing.” Alexandra added, placing the last of the drained half of lemons back on the tray. Picking up the glass, she eyed it for a couple of moments. Then she let out a sigh.
”You can check on her if you’d like we have two hours before we hit the hunting scene.”
She nodded briefly, her eyes still on the glass. This was not gonna taste very nice. Taking a deep breath, and half closing her eyes, she put the glass to her lips, trying not to make a face as the liquid was poured into her mouth.
”Your still not mad are you?”
Blue eyes opened fully, and Alexandra let down the now empty glass. She blinked a couple of times at Sam, while she fought off the displeasure caused by drinking lemon juice without the smallest amount of sugar in it.
”I over reacted Alex, and I’m sorry…”
Again, Alexandra sighed, placing her hands on her lap. “I’m not mad.” Alexandra said, looking down at her hands for a few moments. “Upset, maybe.” She let her eyes travel back to Sam, shrugging slightly. “Disappointed. ” Tilting her head to the side, she looked at Sam reproachful. “I certainly expected more trust from your part.”

”Well it was safe to say Jewel didn’t seem like an angry drunk, which is good for Streak otherwise I think it could have gone badly for both of them.” he doubted Jewel was as angry as Alex was, she seemed to be alright she even tried to hide herself when he came down into the main lobby last night something he thought was kind of funny, while Alex on the other hand was looking for trouble.
A sip of orange juice and Alex spoke confirming his fears, or at least part of them. Sam knew he wouldn’t be able to get away with accusing Alex of cheating on him with Kaz, still it didn’t make things any easier for him to cope with her disappointment. He trusted her but clearly not as much as he would have liked to believe, ”I know, you haven’t given me any reasons not to trust you, it’s just it wouldn’t be the first time a girlfriend let me down like that.” one of the biggest downsides to dating early was that you knew what the worst was in relationships.
”I was projecting my fears and blamed you and Kaz in the process, and if there is anything I can do to make you forgive me I’d gladly do it.” Disappointed the word stung like salt on an open wound it made his stomach churn every time he thought about it. Alex was Disappointed in him for his stupid accusation, something he knew he would regret for some time, a mistake he wouldn’t repeat anytime soon.
”It's weird,” he said quickly trying to justify what he had done to himself more than her, ”I’ve never acted like this before, had a few girlfriends but you were the first that made me think like that…” did that mean he liked Alex more than the others, possibly even love? He said he loved Leila, even one or two of the other girls but he never got that worried before, did that mean he loved her more than the others? He didn’t know but he didn’t like the feelings of jealousy he was experiencing.
”Well it was safe to say Jewel didn’t seem like an angry drunk, which is good for Streak otherwise I think it could have gone badly for both of them.”
Alexandra only nodded briefly, eyeing the coffee for a few seconds. With the headache almost subsiding into nothingness and the nausea losing the fight with the lemon juice she had earlier, it was time to think of the next matter at hand. The sleepiness that the shower didn’t do much good to it.
”I know, you haven’t given me any reasons not to trust you, it’s just it wouldn’t be the first time a girlfriend let me down like that.”
Reluctantly picking up the coffee, Alexandra looked at Sam, silently wondering why he was judging her according to what others have done. Sure, maybe others letting you down affected the whole trust thing, but really, did she look like the kind of person who jumped from man to man once in a while? Also, the molecule manipulator briefly wondered if Sam even suspected that he was her first boyfriend. Mentally, she sighed. She doubted that. And questioned herself it was for the better or worse.
”I was projecting my fears and blamed you and Kaz in the process, and if there is anything I can do to make you forgive me I’d gladly do it.”
Was it? Alexandra wasn’t the one who had much experience with the whole relationship thing but from where she was standing, it didn’t look like there was much he could do right now. Well, except having more faith in her, and that only showed up in time.
”It's weird, I’ve never acted like this before, had a few girlfriends but you were the first that made me think like that…”
Blue eyes widened slightly, while the molecule manipulator was unsure how to think about Sam’s latest words. She remained silent and motionless for a couple of moments, eyes traveling slowly toward the coffee. After those moments were gone, she took the coffee mug to her lips, sipping out of it with a thoughtful look. Letting the mug travel down, cupped by both of her hands, Alexandra finally focused her eyes on Sam, and spoke. “Sam… to a certain point I understand you. I didn’t understand you last night.. cause, heh, I have some issues with my temper…” She smiled slightly before continuing “ but… I do now. And I forgive you… but if there is really something you can do … that would be trusting me more. I know that you do but after last night… I feel that’s not enough.”
Alexandra took another sip of her coffee then tilted her head to the side. “And perhaps, not comparing my actions with what your ex-girlfriends had done… I don’t really met any of them, maybe besides Leila and that was a brief encounter and I don’t know what they’ve done to you cause we really didn’t talk about exes but I’m not them and I’d love if you really understood that…” Sighing softly, she placed the coffee mug down, smiling slightly at Sam. “I said it before Sam, I can’t promise that I won’t disappoint you but I don’t really think that cheating and leaving are gonna happen.”
