The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>"Looks like we are a bit earlier than I thought. Watch must be busted... we know where our seats are, so lets grab some food and sh.. stuff... C'mon."
Sparring him only a single curious glance, she stood and followed him quickly as he made his way back inside to find food. His words still rang in her head, and she mulled over them for a few minutes longer. She shouldn't apologize... but was it not her fault this had all happened? With an inward sigh, she deemed the question unworthy of her time and let it slip from her mind. She was looking to deeply into things again... Shaded orange eyes lifted to scan the small rooms that indented the walls inside the stadium. The men and women within skittered about quickly, piling condiments on top of hot dogs and cheese on top of corn chips. Her stomach gurgled and she clasped a hand to it.
The needy thing was always getting her in trouble...
But alas, it had it's mind set on one thing, and one thing only. Those delectable cheese dogs that were sold by the bunches on every populated corner of New york. Oh... how the mere thought made her mouth water... She dragged herself away from temptation to stop and stare at one of the longest lines she had ever seen. Ever. grabbing a hold of sSph sleeve to stop him, she pointed at it and turned curious eyes on him.
"What are they all waiting for?" She imagined it was a line to meet some of the athletes... get Auto-graphs and such.... or maybe someone was selling one of a kind items, she couldn't really see though the throng of people. Her impacient stomach gurgled again and with a sheepish glance back up at Saphirus, she added, "...and where might we be getting food from?"

He gave her an odd look for a second as she asked where the food line was right after pointing it out. "Jesus, woman, you already said you've never been to a baseball game, but seriously? You've never even been any game have you? Christ, did you ever leave your house at all in greece?" It wasn't a serious question... of course she'd left her house before... right? He scratched the back of his head, and then turned to her. "That is the food line... now c'mon, I'm hungry." He nudged her arm lightly, and walked over to get into the back of the long line, pulling out his new wallet, and looking left and right before he checked his money again...
He smiled just looking at the crisp new bills in it... he could buy the whole freakin menu! But no... He had to make this money last... The wait in the line was surprisingly short; the many cash registers worked at a rapid pace to satisfy the impatience that stadium goers tended to have. He smiled to the lovely lady behind the counter, and said loudly "I'll have an order of nachos, all the works on em... Oh, and the girl will have, eh... what do you want?" He looked back to the green woman, waiting for her to order.
>>"...Christ, did you ever leave your house at all in Greece?"
Control over her features for once, kept her from shooting him a sour look. Instead, she let herself be dragged along gently into the line, where she watched in awe as the flood of people diminished like water leaking from a cracked bucket. She had been sure they were doomed to stand in line, moving a fraction of an inch an hour. She had been sure she was going to die here. In line. Of starvation. Her attention turned to watch as a few teens, shirtless and decked in blue and white from head to toe wandered by wearing odd hats and giant, foam like hands held in the air. She continued to peek out at them from under her hood until they were out of sight, then turned to ask Saph what exactly they had been dressed as. It was about then that her eyes landed on the wallet in his hands, which she figured was his, and she kept quiet while he shifted through it. Her eyes shifted from the money he was ogling, to the picture inside, and they just about popped out of her skull. The picture wasn't of him at all, it was a picture of the man who had bumped into her on the street. Andrea found herself gaping like a fish, unsure of what to do exactly. He had Stolen the mans wallet! After staring for a few moments, she was drawn from her own inner workings by Saph asking, >>"I'll have an order of nachos, all the works on em... Oh, and the girl will have, eh... what do you want?"
She hoped the glare she leveled his way hit him through her glasses. "Nothing, I want nothing." Crossing her arms over her chest, she waited for him to get his things and brooded. Once they were out of ear shot, the older mutant would be getting an earful.

He looked at her, and then down to the wallet, and then back to the expression on her face as she answered... She was mad? Aww crap, she was one of them goodie two shoes wasn't she? He supposed he couldn't blame her... Wasn't he supposed to be trying to be one of them as well? He paused for a second, and then looked back to the woman behind the counter. she was getting impatient. "Eh... Get the girl what ever's on special today..." He glanced at the little chalk board, and smiled. "Yeah, the, eh... Chillie cheese dog." He paid the nice lady, and then looked back to Andrea, deciding that he wasn't ever going to be as innocent as her.
He would be good, sure, but he as gonna do it his way. That meant that maybe stealing some racist douche's wallet was okay. He grabbed the food as it came, turning and walking towards the souvenir booths. He was going to ignore the issue at hand until she brought it up; and he was banking his money on the fact that she would be too shy to. He handed her the chillie dog as he got into the next line. "You gotta see some-a this stuff... they got everything a fan could want here..." The line moved fast, and he immediately started talking once it was his turn. "One big hand, Two ball caps and a glove." He paid the man as well, and waited for their new stuff to arrive, turning to look at Andrea with a grin.
One hidden eye twitched. He had discovered her kryptonite inadvertently... Her eyes traveled to his offering hand, ripe with the warm, gooey goodness that was the unhealthy confection. She was doomed! No! She had to resist... it was an evil Food, born from stolen money.... But how can a Chili cheese dog be evil, when it tastes so heavenly? She wriggled under her coat uncomfortably as the food was forced into her hands, and wriggled some more when Saph started to move off without her. With a little inward squeal of unhappiness, she toddled after him, stopping by his side as he stopped by a his side- still staring at the delicious temptation she held within her hands. It was unfair... that such a thing be wasted because of where it came from.
Andrea shifted her eyes up to peer at Saph. If she simply thought of him as...well, a modern Robin Hood, then maybe it woulden't seem so bad? No. She was not simple enough to ignore the man left behind without a wallet.... But still.
What did a gift paid for with stolen money mean?... what could it stand for? Oh... how she wanted to tear her hair out and dance around in frustration. >>"One big hand, Two ball caps and a glove." Abandoning the food she held to only one hand, Andrea lifted the other and poked him in the shoulder, as gently as she could with the inner battle raging inside her.
"Don't you think you should conserve your money? Do you really need...." Tilting her head, she pointed at the cap and hand...thing's on display behind the counter. "...Those?"

"These?" Saph said as he grabbed the merchandise from the nice man behind the counter. He turned to her immediately, pausing, and then pushing her hood back before shoving the cap onto her head, and patting it down. Before she could react further he took the foam finger and shoved it onto the hand that wasn't holding the chilli dog. "Of course we need this stuff, it's the most important part, now eat your chilli dog before it gets cold." He didn't miss a beat, sliding his glove on and dawning his own baseball cap, he moved into the crowd, feeling the urge to punch his hand into a gloved fist to stretch the leather out. His nachos woulds make it messy if he did, though ... Something about wearing one of these gloves put him back 15 or so years... He felt like he was reliving a memory he hadn't touched in years.
He smiled back to her as he pushed through the crowd, clearing the way for them as he made the way out of the hall and toward their seats. "I suppose i better start explaining the rules, huh? See the white squares on the field? Those go in order around the diamond, starting with home base, first base, second base, and third base. There are two teams that play against each other. They each take turns, one guards the bases and the field, while throwing the ball at the other team which sends out one guy at a time to try and hit that ball with a baseball bat. If you don't hit the ball far enough and someone catches it before it hits the ground, or you swing and miss it three times, you are out. If your team has three outs, the sides switch. The objective is to hit the ball, and run around to each base in order, first base, second, third, home. When you successfully do this, you have scored a point. The team with the most points after the teams switch sides nineteen times wins." he smiled a bit as he made it to their row, and pushed his way to his seat. "The rest i suppose i can explain as it goes, eh?" He took a seat, digging into his nachos with his ungloved hand.
Sputtering nonsense at him didn't get him to stop before there was a cap shoved on her, nor did the little bit of flailing she got in before a giant foam hand was slapped over her now useless appendage. Glowering at him from under the bill of her new cap, she followed behind him back to their seats, but barely heard a word of what he was saying past, "I suppose i better start explaining the rules, huh? See the white squares on the..." Yeah yeah, blah blah blah, rules, chattering about rules. She had no time for that now, not with a chili dog in her hand just Staring at her like that. She nodded, licking her lips as she pretended to listen to him.
She Couldn't eat it. It was against everything she believed, all of her morals!... But... but... It was calling to her. She turned her eyes from it, as sh sank back down into her seat with her arms held out stiffly and awkwardly in front of her. What was she supposed to do with her hands all clogged up with un-needed things? How was she supposed to clap?... Did one even clap at a ball game? Oh dear lord! The scent of the hot dog was clogging up her nose! She couldn't take a breath with out getting a huge whiff of its intoxicating aroma. Her eyes shifted to Saph, sitting innocently beside her, still rambling on about the rules of the game. Which she really should be listening to... but she might as well have had ADD seeing as she could only seem to concentrate on everything but the man. And he didn't really seemed to be watching her to make sure she was listening...
Her eyes dropped warily to the food clutched in her now sweaty palm. Maybe, just maybe... He woulden't notice if she took a bite? He glanced away momentarily as a few people moved past, almost to the end of his explanation, and she dove on her chance. One bite, just one, and Half of that delicious hot dog was gone. She forced the large mouth full of food into her right cheek, looking very much like a hamster who had found a nut just to appetizing to pass up, and chewed slowly, happily even. With her mouth full and her inner conflict behind her for now, she finally turned her attention back to him. Just as he was finishing up Blah blah blahing about something..."...The rest i suppose i can explain as it goes, eh?" Right. And he would be explaining quite a bit to, seeing as she had been busy during his rant. To busy to catch any of that.
"So... erm... what do the little squares mean again?"
"You're kidding right? I just told you. They're the bases." He turned to her again. "You been listening to m- jesus did you do that in one bite?! Never mind." He lowered hs voice as he leaned in, smiling devilishly "So I noticed you saw the wallet. Just letting you know, since you ate that hotdog, and wore that hat... That makes you an accomplice. You turn me in and you're in trouble too. Finish your dog, the anthems about to start." He winked, and leaned back as he watched a short, squat woman wander out onto the feild with a microphone in her hands. She paused on the pitchers mound, turned, and took a deep breathe before she began to sing. Saph stood and put his hand above his heart, smiling widely.
He wondered if the innocent green girl sitting next to him had ever sung the national anthem... she probably didn't even know what was going on. She was probably horrified that she had just been labled an accomplice. She would get over it; he was only messing with her, really. The guy'd had it coming anyways. Better he insult someone who would steal from him instead of ripping him in half, right?
>>"So I noticed you saw the wallet. Just letting you know, since you ate that hot dog, and wore that hat... That makes you an accomplice. You turn me in and you're in trouble too. Finish your dog, the anthems about to start."
Andrea shot him a look that could only really be described as venomous, before shoving the rest of her chili dog into her mouth. An accomplice... Pfft. Please. She was- Andrea paused her thoughts... if that's even possible. He did have a point she supposed... She could have simply thrown the food away... maybe took off the hat and hand it over to someone without one... but that would hurt Saph's feelings... and he had only been trying to show her what a ball game was.
An accomplice... Dear lord. Andrea felt like crossing herself. She hadn't even considered turning the man in for his actions, she didn't deem him as that much of a bad person- but if he was going to start throwing out threats like that, she might certainly change her mind. After all, If she returned the mans wallet, apologized and accepted whatever her punishment might be- at least she would be sleeping with a clean conscious at the end of the day. Orange eyes squinted at the man next to her, before she stood alongside him and turned her attention to the woman waddling onto the field.
The woman belted out the first few lines of the song- which made Andrea cringe inwardly. She was not used to this...this... Custom, and she found it odd that someone with such a soprano voice would be allowed to hold a microphone that close to her mouth. Was the intention to blow out the speakers around the stadium? Under her breath, she muttered her own countries anthem, having had decided that the woman singing below was much to irritating on the ears. "We knew thee of old, Oh, divinely restored, by the lights of thine eyes, and the light of thy Sword, from the graves of our slain, Shall thy valour prevail. As we greet thee again- Hail, Liberty. Hail..."
After bowing her head for a moment, she shot Saphirus another swift glance before seating herself as the woman below took a bow and the people of the stadium cheered- yet another sound she noticed irritated her hearing quite a bit...

Saph looked over to her in mid-anthem as she started singing her own... Oh god, that was a bad idea... You never went to someone else's country and sang your own anthem during the game. He looked about nervously at the other mutants up with them... Did anyone notice? Didn't look like it... He turned his head a little more and saw a guy with a huge lower jaw staring at the back of her head.. uh-oh... He turned and hoped silently that nothing would come of this as the woman bowed, and the large microphones starting playing 'take me out to the ball game loudly.'
That's what he needed... some peanuts... maybe some crackerjacks! He spied a mobile vendor walking up and down the steps yelling. "cra-ka jacks! Getcha Cra-ka jacks! We got peanuts, car-amel a-pple's here!" He leaned in quickly and muttered to Andrea. "You want a caramel apple?" no time to wait, he was gonna pass. "One each!" There was a rapidfire exchance of currency and product. Maybe if she had something in her mouth she might not say anything else to piss big-jaw off? The game was about to start. He would have to explain to her the rules later; she didn't seem to get it the first time around, that or she wasn't listening.
"Y'see, there's a spirit about the game... you get caught up in it. You start to want to see your team, ours will be wearing white with black stripes, by the way, win... and the other team? they can rot in hell, Y'get it?"
She nodded, eyeballing the brown, shiny caramel apple in his hands. It seemed a little off, having something so healthy slathered in something so bad for you. Especially for ones teeth. When he moved to hand it to her, she panicked, dropping the empty wrapper in her lap, and grasping the semi heavy apple in her hand. it was rather hard to feel it through the glove, and she was worried it might slip- But with a foam hand keeping her left appendage prisoner, she had little choice in the matter of taking the glove off.
It was for the best anyway. "Thankyou."
>>"Y'see, there's a spirit about the game... you get caught up in it. You start to want to see your team, ours will be wearing white with black stripes, by the way, win... and the other team? they can rot in hell, Y'get it?"
Andrea frowned, pausing the apple only a few inches from her mouth. "That's a terrible thing to say... Why would I wish that upon someone just because they are on the opposite team?"
It was strange, how everyone here seemed to curse other people so loosely. She could never imagine herself saying such a thing... to people she didn't even know none the less!

"What? Oh, no.... It's just a figure of speech... I don't want them to litterally go to hell... It's just... We want them to lose. We want our team to beat them into the dust, you know?" he nodded, satisfied that he had properly explained things. The teams were beginning to file out onto the feild; all little dots that were hard to make out from this distance. "We gotta get some Knocks.... Someone's selling em, I'm sure." He stood and looked about, waving his hand at a passing vendor. Seconds later he had a pair of binoculars around his neck.
"Thirty bucks... they call me a theif... " He grumbled as he sat again, and looked back to Andrea. "the games about to start... Basicly the guys on our team are gonna try to hit the ball with their bat as far as they can. If they can run around that big square before the opposing team gets the ball back, we get a point. The two teams will take turns doing this until one wins." He pretty much dumbed it all down as much as humanly possible right there.
>>"What? Oh, no.... It's just a figure of speech... I don't want them to literally go to hell... It's just... We want them to lose. We want our team to beat them into the dust, you know?"
She squinted at him and moved to take a bit out of her apple. Honestly, his rough, abrasive personality- no, maybe not personality, just the way he said things- was getting to her slowly. She would need to-
...
Oh! Oh no... the apple was stuck on her teeth. The Greek wrinkled her nose and bared her pearly whites at the world in order to try and wiggle the caramel monstrosity free of her canines. Her attempts seemed to be going in a successful direction, until one more wiggle separated the apple from the stick it had been speared on.
Andrea blinked at the apple for a few moments, before sighing loudly and frowning as best she could around the fruit lodged on her teeth.

Saphirus stared at her with wide eyes as he chomped down on the apple, and then everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. The good thing was that he saw big jaw very noticably decide to mind his own buisness when her teeth were shown. Saph stifled a laugh, and reached over slowly. "Really? You know you don't have to take big bites if you don't wanna." He grabbed the apple with his left hand, and slowly applied enough pressure to break it off without hurting her teeth in the process. He had to admit, the whole ordeal was kinda adorable in its own way... He handed her the apple again, wiped his fingers clean, and then patted her head lightly.
A few more warm up pitches, and then the mayor came out to start with the first pitch. The major league ball player was nice enough not to hit the ball the man threw... and then then game really started. "Watch closely, they always get the batters with a good average out first... um.... that means they hit the ball more often than not."
>>"Really? You know you don't have to take big bites if you don't wanna."
She shot him a look through her glasses and waited patiently as he dislodged the fruit from her teeth. Once it was free, she chewed what was left in her mouth and rubbed at her jaw. "Thanks..."
The whole of the apple was plopped int her hand, and she spent a moment blinking at the thing, before she turned her hand over and frowned. Now it was sticking to her glove. She had meant to skewer the apple back on its stick when he was handing it to her... but she lacked the coordination. "Oh.. ew..." He spoke up about the people down on the field. The crack of a ball on a bat startled her, and she turned her attention fully to the game.
Her apple-hand dipped to the seat and she slipped the glove off, wiggling her fingers once they were free from the odd sticky, yet not sticky feeling...
She would need to wash her gloves later...
"So, they all get a chance to hit the ball, run around the bases, then the other team gets to play?"
