The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“Curiosity also fuels innovation, and hasn’t quite gotten me yet.”
~~“Abyss.” “I’m not here to insult you, but considering what I told you earlier, you’re either a good actor and you know those people are sent in dangerous missions when they barely got any control of their mutations or you’re kept in the dark and you have no idea of how she thinks.”
“I am neither, Circe. don’t be naïve, control or not, these people don’t want to sit quietly while the Americans handle everything, are they thankful for the help, yes, are they ready to fight for their rights? I doubt I could stop them if I wanted to. Yes, they are being sent into danger and face capture and possibly harm. But we have been sending ours with theirs every time. I don’t know about you, but I won’t ask them to not fight for themselves. If they are going to keep their freedom, then they need to learn now, you have to protect it with everything.”
~~“As for me getting out of my comfy car and walking around this camp for a few minutes. No. Sorry. That’s incorrect. I’ve spent years in the Underground, Abyss. Years next to her.” “I doubt you know better than me how things work.”
A game of could Circe suffocate him, before he could throw Pacifica hard enough at her to knock out or kill her could be fun. They’d probably both die, at the very least he would make enough commotion in those seconds to summons his brothers.
~~“And I am not here to speak about the actions me or my team have chosen to take. It would be stupid of me to share those plans with someone who could easily become the enemy. I am here to let you know that our objectives are similar. And I’m here to ask you to let us handle this situation.”
“So, then I am to understand, that you have come empty handed with no request for help, only a request to stand down. We will not, so long as human’s hold mutants on this land then we will fight for freedom.” He then leaned forward, almost knocking Pacifica off his lap. He was about to say something crude to Circe when he simply lost interesting the argument and with Pacifica. He was now disgusted with the cheap tricks of Pacifica, if she wanted to buy their loyalty with affection, she could earn it. “ I think it is time I showed Circe to her car. Back in a moment, dear.”
He stood with an abrupt motion lifting his comrade off of his lap as he did so and sitting her in the chair like something delicate, he then gestured for Circe to leave the room and head back to her vehicle. If she would comply he would pass off his duties and his coat to Venus as they made way to Circe’s vehicle, and then he could drop the act he had been putting in place for the leader of the Romanian underground.
Her words fell upon deaf ears, Alexandra noticed, letting out an audible sigh. She watched Abyss and Pacifica trough half closed eyes. Pacifica’s nauseating ways of dealing with the situation had finally used the little bit of patience inside her. “I don’t really see her sending her top members in dangerous missions.” Alexandra commented, shrugging slightly. Then again, the Order might have been that naïve and didn’t realize that they were being used. They didn’t want their eyes opened either.
“And… you were given the chance to help. You’re here, aren’t you? But look what you’re doing.” Seriously, were they expecting to be asked for help when even a suggestion of choosing less violent ways didn’t even reach their ears? Alexandra sighed again. Tired of speaking only to be the only one who heard her own words.
“ I think it is time I showed Circe to her car. Back in a moment, dear.”
Alexandra blinked. She’d overstayed her welcome, apparently. She nodded briefly at Abyss then turned toward Pacifica. The woman grinned smugly at her, pleased that Abyss had been on her side. She nodded in her direction too. Pacifica raised a hand to wave. “Good bye Circe.” Then, she relaxed on the chair, eyeing Abyss with a smile. Hard to guess what else she would do to gain the Order’s member’s loyalty, really.
Alexandra exited the room without a word. Again, heads were turned around curiously as she passed by, escorted by the Red Liberty. When she exited the Underground’s headquarters, Alexandra removed the remote out of her pocket. The car beeped, signaling the unlocking of the doors. Alexandra turned around, leaning on the car, her head tilted to the side as she watched Abyss, her intention to say good bye. But a thought crossed her mind making her close her mouth. There were some unsolved problems at the Sanctuary that she had. The molecule manipulator took a deep breath. “I know that I’m not one of your favorite persons in the world Abyss but… you think you could give me some info on someone who came at the Sanctuary a while ago?”
~~“I don’t really see her sending her top members in dangerous missions.”
“Then they are being discreet as planned. Oh yes, the order is taking the majority of the noisy work and the underground is doing what the excel at as well.” Abyss left that statement with a cocky grin. he wasn’t sure what was going through the young woman’s head.
~~“And… you were given the chance to help. You’re here, aren’t you? But look what you’re doing.”
“Fighting for the freedom of a people and against absolute oppression? Are the xmen truly that soft? That you can’t even fight against oppression, you can’t fight for something even when it is blatantly clear what is right? Enough, this gets us no where.”
Abyss nodded to Venus and the other brother came and took Abyss’s coat and placed it over a similar shirt. Venus went back toward Pacifica with a grin on his face. The switch was made with out much fuss and amused him to no end.
~~“I know that I’m not one of your favorite persons in the world Abyss but… you think you could give me some info on someone who came at the Sanctuary a while ago?”
“Who told you, you weren’t one of my favorite people,? So, we have different views on politics? That changes very little. You are doing what you believe is best for our people and so am I, I’m sorry that the difference isn’t easily reconciled.” Abyss raised an eyebrow at Circe. “Depends on who you are asking about and what you want to know, and most importantly why. Also there is the small matter of if you will agree to let me take you out when we get back to the states, if I tell you what you need to know, don’t worry you can always stand me up later.” He said with a smirk.
She couldn’t change Abyss’ opinions as he couldn’t change hers, no matter what sort of explanations were tossed into the discussion.
She didn’t comment on the little exchange taking place. She was slightly amused and curious to know if Pacifica was aware that she was being played. Then again, it wasn’t anything that she didn’t deserve.
Sighing softly and tilting her head at Abyss’ answer, she let a smile slowly appear on her lips. “Ana Kettler.” She replied, folding her arms. “My sister.” The line came out with difficulty, for Abyss was the first one she admitted to that she had a sibling. But, she hoped, that it would be enough to convince him to share any information he possessed about her sister. After all, he had brothers too.
The smile returned on her lips for a few moments. “And we’ll see what we can do about that meeting back in New York.” Alexandra was one of those people that thought that it was good to get along with most people. And if Abyss mentioned that the fact that they had slightly different views didn’t bother him, then there was no point in ruining this chance.
“Oh? Well that makes too much sense, she is a firecracker as well. She stayed at the sanctuary for quite some time, she kept a low profile, I taught some basics awhile back, tried to get some control over her abilities and taught how to defend herself with out them. she took pretty well to it. She was sticking pretty close to an earth elemental named Geo. He is pretty good at helping her calm her self as he has some influence over the element she harnesses. if she stuck with him, she isn't in danger." atleast from harm, in danger of a broken heart...much much more likely.
~~“And we’ll see what we can do about that meeting back in New York.”
“they both left not too long ago and I haven't seen them since, I could check the few places I know to look for them and a few more of his, but beyond that I can only keep an ear to the ground for you.”
“Well then I suppose your visit wasn’t a complete waste, a possible date for me and a little bit of knowledge your little sister." He leaned over and opened the driver side door for her. “ I would like to have a way to let you know when we move, we are going to move at some point, and its problem not going to be how you’d prefer it, but it’d be better knowing that you had to time to get out the way or change your mind altogether.”
By the time Abyss was finished talking, Alexandra was hyperventilating.
Her sweet… innocent… little sister… gone … with a boy.
Breathe in… breathe out.
“I’m going to kill her.”
The worse things that could happen rolled around her head. What if he left her? Broken hearted or… worse… pregnant! Oh no…
“I’m going to kill him.”
What if that was the reason her sister had disappeared? Blue eyes turned darker. And she had specified, advised, requested, demanded: Don’t get into troubles!
“I’m going to kill both.”
Eyes focused back on Abyss as she let out a sigh. She’d deal with this drama later, not now, not in front of Abyss. But yet she had to:
“Thank you… for the information. I appreciate it. And if you find out anything else,…” A short lived search trough her pockets followed which ended up in her removing a calling card containing one of her phone numbers and extended it toward Abyss. “Call me, right away.”
“Well then I suppose your visit wasn’t a complete waste, a possible date for me and a little bit of knowledge your little sister… I would like to have a way to let you know when we move, we are going to move at some point, and its problem not going to be how you’d prefer it, but it’d be better knowing that you had to time to get out the way or change your mind altogether.”
Alexandra laughed slightly, shaking her head at Abyss and placing a hand on the car door he’d just opened for her. “I said meeting, Red. Not date.” The smile remained on her lips as she continued to talk. “And thanks but… I don’t think that we’re going to change our mind. I do hope that any of our teams succeed. As long as the mutant hunting season is closed, I am happy.”
And she would truly be. Nodding her head as a farewell, she entered the car. “Later Red. Don’t get in too many troubles.” Winking she closed the door behind her and started the car. With music blasting out of the speakers, she departed. This meeting perhaps didn’t have the expected results but yet, it wasn’t a complete failure either.
And still… she was going to kill her sister and that Geo boy as soon as she’d lay her eyes on them.
He watched, partially amused partially concerned for them both…He didn’t quite understand, how whatever they were doing could be made better by killing them both, but she was being irrational at the moment.
~~“Thank you… for the information. I appreciate it. And if you find out anything else,…” “Call me, right away.”
“You’re welcome and I’ll call you either way.”
~~“I said meeting, Red. Not date.”
~~“And thanks but… I don’t think that we’re going to change our mind. I do hope that any of our teams succeed. As long as the mutant hunting season is closed, I am happy.”
“Ah, you start talking sense on your way out, see you back state side then.”
~~“Later Red. Don’t get in too many troubles.”
“If I don’t find them, they find me.” He said quietly to the car as it drove away. Abyss turned around and headed back into the main building and decided to attempt to lift morale.
