The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The time was now, the future beckoned his actions and at this crossroads there was no alternative. The pineapple shaped grenade was gripped tightly in his hand just like his black ski mask that rested snugly on his head. Looking intently at the small privately owned medical practice in front of him, his emotions were close to exploding forth from his body. He knew what he had to do and unlike another person, their was no second thoughts, no moral tuggings that what he was doing was wrong, there was nothing but pure passion, pure bliss.
What did they expect would happen, he had tried to be reasonable, sensible. In fact weeks had gone into campaigning and what some would call harassment against the owners of the facility. In his defense, these people were the epitome of disgusting anti-Americanism. For some god forsaken reason they provided medical services to mutants, they didn't even charge more for doing so. It sickened Jericho all the way down to his core and he knew that some form of punishment had to doled out for such an offense, who better then Purge to be the one who brings this judgment down?
Black leather gloves gripped his hands as cargo pants filled with munitions hung loosely. His ebony leather jacket with "Pure Breed" written across it in red was worn, more of an ornament piece to strike fear in the mutant populace. On his feet were two large steel toed boots covered in black leather. Dog tags tucked in under his shirt and a tight black tee shirt worn under the jacket. It was nothing unusual for him and outside of the black ski mask there wasn't much to startle people. That would be of course until the grenade was taken out of one of his many coat inner pockets.
A small laugh would echo forth from his mouth as he whispered "Time to be purified". His hands moved quickly, bringing the grenades to his mouth. The pins would be pulled with his teeth and dropped to the ground. For those very few people on the sidewalks who looked on at what was happening, it would seem as though they fell in slow motion. Though not as slow as the grenades would be perceived flying into the stores windows from his hands as he chucked them both ferociously.
Turning around as they broke through the glass, their was only three seconds on these custom made grenades and those inside would only have enough time to reach the door before the high powered explosives went off and launched the clinic to space. A grin spread across his face as he awaited the explosion, his head tilting up slightly to view the beautiful sunny sky.
"Great day to send some demons to hell, I wonder if those freak lovers will still worship Satan when their in his domain?"
He would think to himself as he eagerly listened for the ever so uplifting grenades to echo out.
She was still conflicted, always conflicted. Love them, loathe them? Was she a mutant or was she a miracle as she believed. Was she truly adapted, not that she had even heard the term before. She clung to the fact that she was human....so what if she could cancel out a Mutants power just with her existence...that wasn't a bad thing. how could it be? It was fate is what it was. She was alll dolled up and ready for some blood shed... could she storm this clinic, and not fail like she did in that sewer full of freak families? sick, wounded, and healers...why not?
She favored the black of night in her clothing as well, but where he had a ski mask she had a pair of bandannas one tied in her hair the other across her face like a bandita. The folk like style decorated the borders of the cloth on both, her dark eyeliner and mascara accented her green eyes. she wore a black tank top and black jeans. Today she had her combat boots on as well, adorning her neck was a black spiked collar that shouted rebellion.
She was about to exit the alleyway go to the clinic draw the twins from their holsters and issue death, she had a tip that a couple low end King pharmacy guards started working there. It was enough to remind her to hate the x-gene, she refused to believe she carried. She watched as the large man ran from the building and her eyes widened as the scene lit up behind him. that was efficient, she should invest in things that went boom.
She waited to see if anyone followed the man, she liked him, he had moxie, she thought she was the only one stupid enough to pull something like this in broad daylight. She held steady covering him.

[OOC: Just PM me if you would rather someone else be in this thread. I just thought it was kind of ironic because tythan (and his family) are pretty much the most naive people on MRO when it comes to stuff like this.]
Tythan stepped out of the small medical practice examining room and looke over at his rather awkward looking parents and his concerned older sister. They were still coming to terms with the whole mutant scene despite the brave face that they tried to put on. It didn't really help that on their second day together as a family, he had tripped and tumbled down the stairs of their hotel.
Before arriving, his parents had done extensive research into the whole mutant thing to make sure they were prepared and they had come across this clinic that offered services to mutants.
He glanced at his older sister, Yasmine, again. He still hadn't quite figured out why she had come along. She had told him that they needed to talk, but that hadn't really come about yet.
As he stepped over to them, the doctor slightly behind him, two small 'plink's echoed across the room. He looked over to where he assumed the sound had come from and saw two small roundish objects that looked vaguely familiar. The rest of the occupants of the room, however, recognized them immediately and suddenly he was caught up in a rush for the door. Yet somehow they were moving faster than could be natural.
As they stumbled into the alleyway and away from the building, it exploded sending debris and them flying. It was then that Tythan realized that those objects had been grenades. The dust settled and he glanced around. It appeared that no one was seriously hurt among them beyond a few scrapes. However, it appeared that not everyone had made it into the alley; Tythan suppressed the need to expel his innards.
But how, how had they made it out. THere couldn't have been more than a few seconds before the explosion, and they couldn't have possibly made it out the door in that amount of time.
He pushed the thought aside. The important thing was that his family was safe. He looked in the direction opposite his family and saw two figures running away. He stood up. It was probably fool hardy to go after them, but something in him pushed him to find out from whence such hatred came. Besides if they used grenades, they probably weren't mutants, and he could dissappear into the sidewalk if needed.
"Stay here, I...I'm going to try to find out why someone just tried...tried...tried to k...kill us." He said to his family, trying to find courage.
"What did you say! You'll do no such thing young man, we are going back to the hotel and that's it, i'm not about to let you go out and get yourself killed for real, we were lucky enough this time." His mothers retorts immediately followed.
"Reisha, reisha, calm down. He'll be find. Remember what he can do."His father looked at him admiringly. Tythan tried to return a confident smile. "I believe in him."
Tythan felt a pit in his stomach. His father believed in him, but in truth tythan knew he was far from invincible.
"I'm going with you" Yasmine added and suppressed immediately all objections."They'll probably be open to just talking anyway and more wary around two people than one. I'm going." Apparently his sister was a better liar than him. He looked at her strangely and then replied "Ok then...let's go."
They started off behind the other two people, just barely able to see them ahead. His father was left behind comforting his mother. His sister was next to him and he couldn't help thinking how surreal the whole situation was.
The pit in his stomach dissappeared but was replaced by a knot as they slowly and inexplicably gained on the strangers. IN his mind he tried to reassure himself chanting, I'm an x-men. I can do this.[/i]
Shattered glass and extinguished lives, truly the symphony of his youth. Never was their a moment that trumped one like this. The hatred that boiled as he viewed the building, the passion that grew while lifting the grenades. Pure ecstasy as the pins were pulled and soared through the air. Best of all, however, was the ever so slight droplets of anticipation while waiting for the grenades to erupt in a maelstrom of fire and force. It was a recipe for pure euphoria, a cocktail of pleasure and pain, his absolute favorite dish.
Ears perked, his carnal desires would be fulfilled as the ever so supple explosion ripped forth through the air. The sound, the smell, the feeling of the force on his back, even the very taste in the air. It was all quite intoxicating to say the least, but better yet was what caught his attention in the corner of his eyes. Not much was really visible outside of a woman's body, dark hair and two vibrant emerald green eyes. Then again the two guns she was holding stood out quite wonderfully as well.
From the fact she was not only armed but wearing dual bandanna's and combat boots, it was easy to see she was here on the same business as him. It wasn't to often anymore that he saw someone as outspoken as himself. There was a moderate amount of pure blood supporters but after the registration act got abolished, droves committed to hiding their true feelings in the closest. This left people like Jericho to fight for the rights of many on his own. Now it seemed if, at least for the moment, he had some kind of partner.
"Hey Pure, if you don't want johnny law on your ass you should probably come on."
He shouted out to the girl as he took off down an alleyway. The other two people were too far behind for him to see at the moment, so he continued into the alley unknowing of their existence. Hopefully the girl wasn't far behind him.

~~"Hey Pure, if you don't want johnny law on your ass you should probably come on."
She smirked as she hesitated a moment longer, Mutants were a persistent lot, in general it took about thirty seconds to be sure there wasn't going to be any further action on their part, the ones that could stand a grenade, weren't typically the type to take it sitting down. She slid the twins into their relative holsters and ran after him. It had been a long time since any one had called her pure...if ever. something about being branded Tyranny strait out of the womb, made people skeptical.
she Had absolutely the two youths coming out of the adjacent alleyway, neither of them looked nearly shook up enough to have been in the building and soshe turned and followed, the grenade chucker.
She sprinted for a moment until she closed most of the distance that he had put between them with the effort to get away from the crime scene. when she was close she matched his pace, their feet hit the concrete in unison and the boots clomped with thud after thud agreeing with each other. left, right, left, rigght. it was good.
"the next alley to the right has an abandoned building, the second door to the right is unlocked, might be some homeless in there but they are cool, if treat like humans.." the human's that they were. she huffed as she kept pace with the man that had longer legs and stride to match.

Tythan and Yasmine continued on after the two humans. They were still gaining slowly, but not as much as before. Endless scenarios ran through Tythan's head, most involving his death, and very few that did not include a fierce battle. He kept pushing them out, but he was scared, that was all there was to it.
But the question was, why was Yasmine here running after them with him. It didn't make sense. Why didn't she just stay back with their parents. He turned to her to try and figure it out, "Yasmine? why are you here?" He glanced ahead quickly. good, they couldn't be heard from this distance.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, why are you running after them with me...why did you come to visit with mom and dad?" The distance continued to close, he lowered his voice.
"Is it not enough that i just wan't to be with my little brother." He glanced at her skeptically, "Ok, ok. There's more to it. But can we just put it aside for now. We can have a talk later and I'll tell you everything. Let's just say that you being a mutant effects some changes in my life too. Not bad ones...don't worry. I think it's so cool that you can do what you can do, but... you understand?"
"Yeah. I think so... I think they're stopping soon. We should walk and see where they go." Tythan had to admit that he was a little concerned about what his sister had to say, but at least he'd find out sooner or later. They slowed down and tried to keep out of the sight as the two humans came to a halt.
