The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"The mansion is exactly as it was, but it's missing its homely feel..." He smiles in a confused way. He repeats himself. "I know it and yet I don't..."
Finishing the stairs he again continued his search of the hallways. Checking every window and noise again he made his way through the halls as quietly as possible. He ended his search with nothing to show for it and he was glad. He wondered though. 'Whats going on, somethings odd about tonight.' Heading toward the garage he figured hed go for a ride to clear his mind. He was kind of disapointed that hed been wrong. His mind kept going back to the red moon. He couldnt remember what that meant, but he knew it was important. He went back up to Tricitys room to grab his jacket and came back down and went into the garage.
*tricity came out of her room and began to slowly walk through the hallway. everything seemed quiet and there wasn't a single sound. she passed over the balcony upstairs and peered down to the front hall, not seeing anyone. after doing a second round of the second floor, tricity decided to try downstairs.*
Scoping through the open doors and listening for kids to be out of bed later than they should be he ambled slowly down the hallways so as not to make any noise. He was getting good at that. He noticed a window ajar. The white curtains billowed in the breeze and swayed back and forth. Shutting the window quitly Orion finished his rounds with out incident and made his way to her room after gathering a few things from his own.
Tricity headed toward where billy was taking the kids and Orion turned to go down the hall. Heading over to the stairs he re-acquired the blade protruding from the guy lying on the ground. Checking around ther area quickly to ensure he would be able to ask some questions without getting interrupted. Picking up the man by the neck of his vest he asked him questions the man at first refused to answer. Orion responded to this by digging his finger into the hole in his arm. The man winced in pain and then cracked. He told Orion everything he wanted to know. Then as Orion turned to leave the guy cocked his gun and leveled it at Orions head. Orion turned with his hands up in the air slowly. Facing the armed assailant he looked him dead in the eye. "You think a bullet is gonna take me down?"
The man seemed to think about that for a minute. Orion took advantage of this and dove at the man. Catching the gun in his left hand he let loose a small burst of Chaos and the gun melted into t a puddle. Striking the man across the face he succeeded in breaking the manbs neck, killing him instantly. Orion moved on into the front hall.
*Tricity grabbed the handrail and slowly made her way up the stairs.* "Sorry...this may take a while." *She said, as they made it halfway up. When they came to the top, Tricity pointed in the three directions the hallway took, indicating which way was which.* "This way is for the girls...that way guys...and this way is more for the adults, where I stay. Oh and the infirmary is down this way too, Ruben. So you can pick a room. I believe there is one next to mine. I wouldn't suggest being too close to the infirmary though. Sometimes when mutations go wild, the end of the halls can get...well, messy."
*Kilala intertwined her fingers with Ruben's as they followed the Headmistress up the stairs. As she listened to her explain the directions the hallways took, Kilala realized she didn't have any personal belongings except her sword, wallet, and the clothes on her back.* "Um, do you possibly have...hygenic products we could borrow until we go shopping? I lost everything to me abruptly and I just realized it..." *Kilala said, as she drifted off to the horrific scene of the dojo blowing up.*
Reading Setsuna the best he could, he smiled politely at Tricity. "Thank you, I think we can manage to find a room or two from here. I'll seek you out again if I need help and I hope you'll do the same." Looking back to Setsuna, holding her hand still, he said spoke to Tricity without looking away from Setsuna.
"Could we please have a moment?"
He waited until it was safe to talk. Ruben lifted Setsuna's chin toward his face, looking her in the eyes. "Hey... everything's going to be alright. Okay?" he said as his hand squeezed hers again slightly.
He looked down at their hands, entwined and smiled bashfully. "Soooo... one room or two?" he asked, putting her on the spot with an angelic smile, forcing her to think of the present... and future.
*Setsuna smiled and rolled her eyes.* "Way to put me on the spot...Well, I don't mind sharing a room with you, in fact, I'm sure I'd love it. I just didn't know if you wanted your own space or not. My whole life I've been pretty to myself." *She shrugged shyly.*
"Well it's just that... you know... I'm so afraid by myself." Ruben said with horrible acting skills as if to make her laugh. "I just.. think I could really use a bodyguard right now. You do the ass-kicking I'll patch you up when it's done." he joked with a grin and wink.
He pulled her closer, his eyes becoming suddenly serious. "I barely know you..." he paused. "But that doesn't mean I don't want to know you better... I mean... I like you, you know I do... and I don't know where this is all going... all I know is, we're in this together now..."
Ruben was strangely devoted to this even stranger young woman, but he couldn't help it. She was the best friend he'd had in a long time... the only friend. Not to mention stunningly beautiful to boot. Taking a breath to prepare himself for something he'd never actually done in 24 years of his life... he gazed into her eyes. "You wanna be my girl?" he asked, his voice almost boyish.
*Kilala smirked and thought how adorable he looked right now as he waited for an answer. After a moment, she kissed him and smiled.* "Of course...I was afraid, well...nevermind. I really like you too, Ruben. Shall we pick a room, then?" *She turned to Tricity, to speak. The Headmistress had taken a seat in one of the cushioned benches in the hallway.* "We're going to pick a room, Tricity. Thank you for everything."
After looking into a few of the rooms, the two looked at each other as they found something they both loved. Ruben quickly held onto Setsuna's hand pulling her back out of the room as she tried to enter. He smiled at her confused look.
He picked her up into his arms, ready to carry her. "I've always wanted to do this." he said as he carried her into the room and lay her slowly down onto the bed with a wild happy grin.
"Welcome home?" he asked, only inches from Setsuna.
*emerges from the stairway, at the top of the stairs*
*walks down the corridor, checking out the free rooms* Axel sighs momentarily, apparently hit for a moment by past grief. Then he straightens up and heads into the room that he's chosen, and closes the nice oak wooden door behind him. A few seconds, his name forms on the outside of the wooden door, manipulate by his powers, it is written in the same manner that would be achieved by running your finger through the sand. [glow=red,2,300]'Axel Pike'[/glow]
The door marked "Axel Pike" opens and the dude himself emerges, looking fresh from sleep. He pads off down the hallway, in search of the bathroom. "Finally" he mutters, enters the bathroom.
After a few minutes he reappears and heads off to find a kitchen
