The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Though she was deep into the woods by the mansion, Mike would be easily able to find her, if not by their mental link then by the pure anger soaring from her body in waves.
Her laptop and wireless router hooked up to a hard drive and several other peices of equipment, one which looked like a satellite. Daria wasn't anywhere near it, she was on top of a rock, near the lake, sparring against the air in a trance like dance.

She'd smelled him when he arrived and was not taken off guard. So she smirked without missing a beat.
"I'm going to kick ass." she stated simply. "I can't believe they have everyone in those camps, you have no idea how pissed I am!" she swung her leg so hard on the last word she nearly lost her balance, but easily regained it, hopping from the rock and slamming her padded fists into it.
"About as pissed as I am. But I have to keep creeping in there with my mind, so I'm trying to not think about it, or else I'll do something stupid and make things worse. Hell, kicking the shit out of Bloodfang had that potential, but I really didn't have much of a choice."

"I want to kill him." Daria hissed thinking of her previous fights with him. She went from punching the rock to scratching it, her sharp claws making deep marks in the smooth surface.
"I want to kill everyone, hell, I want to go back in time and Kill fusionist. Back to when I met him when i was a kid!" she gave the rock one final kick. It would hurt later, right then there was too much adrenaline.
"Well, you're going to get the chance to do all of it that you want," Mike said idly. "I want to make sure we're ready, but I don't want to waste much time before we go break them all out of there."

"I'm ready right now!" Daria was so worked up she'd gone right into frenzy mode, her eyes becoming catlike, her senses blurring. "We'll go in and move everyone, and then blow up the camps! Then we'll bring everyone back here!" She scratched the rock again, teleporting it high into the air. It came slamming down far away into the lake, making a big splash in the distance. Daria still wanted to punch something.
"Right?" she asked for his reassurance, eyeing a squirrel in a tree.
"A few X-Men coming in and taking out the camps? Where do you think the first place they'd look for us is?" Mike said bitterly. "That's the biggest problem right now. Where we take people once we break them out. Because I guarantee you, this'll be the first place they look for us. And sadly, we're far too recognizable to hope that they won't know who we are."

"Well if they come after us we'll kill them too!" She hissed. "I'll be damned if someone runs me from my home! Not again!" she charged into the tree, scaring the poor squirrel so that it fell to the grass. Daria pounced and grabbed it in her hands. It's fearful squeaking shocked the humanity back into her. she dropped it and stayed squatted there, tears welling up in her eyes.
Mike walked over, laying a hand on her shoulder, crouching down behind her. "It's going to be all right, babe. Just trust me on this one, okay?" he said quietly.

We say that every single month, Mike." Daria said, rubbing her face to keep from completely breaking down. "I mean, I know its our job to keep the mansion safe and everyone in it-we've spoken about it before-but this is like the civil rights movement all over again! It's just a shame!" She shook her head.
"Is it always going to be like this? Is there never going to be peace? After we fix this, more will happen! We'll never rest!" she threw her arms around him. "We'll never get a break, we won't settle down, we wont get married, we wont have kids...we'll neve have anything close to normal, Mike..."
"Yes, we will," Mike said firmly. "We're going to live our lives the way we choose, not the way a bunch of assholes decide to make us live them. We're going to get married. We're going to have all the damn babies we want. And anyone who says otherwise can go to hell. And if they won't go there, I'll make them." He looked around. "Maybe we need to ramp up the security insanely now. Like, mounted turrets and shit. I don't know. But we'll make it work."

Daria laughed so hard she cried a little despite herself. Sniffling she backed away from him and went to squat next to the computer.
She brought up the blueprints. "Before we go I'm putting up a new barrier for the mansion. Just to protect the remains of the mansions while the robots are fixing it. I've rewired the security on the danger room computers, and I was working on the war room computers too and just got so fed up I needed a break." she looked at the log in information Mike had put on her computer. "Why thank you." she laughed and pulled up the signal to hack into their system again.
"Maybe we can find a way to pull the mansion into another dimension, so only we can come and go as we please," he mused. "ultimate security system... remove the place from this plane of existence."
