The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

When would he be expecting a visit from Aunty Flo? Michael's body looked upward into oblivion and his eyes flicked back and forth in an expression that was quintessential Lori. She was sorting through information. When she had the answer her maneyes fixed back on the woman at hand. "Four days, when the moon is at it's fullest and reaches the pinnacle of the sky..." She mansmiled a bit lopsidedly. "Make sure you're prepared."
The waitress lingered after the tray was dropped off and manLori chucked. She handed the woman a folded napkin and the girl disappeared. There was nothing written on that napkin, Lori didn't have a pen. If the girl returned the napkin with her number all the better. She probably wouldn't call it. Those always made for awkward situations. Lori preferred to hunt in person. And she couldn't rightly do that with a woman already in tow.
ManLori looked over herself with maneyes.
Pizza first.
She loved thin crust. She actually gave a squeal of delight after the first bite. So good. So pizza-y. Omnomnom.
Four days. He hoped that by then that he would be back in his body, but in case he wasn't he might as well find out what to expect since, if he remembered his high school health class correctly, it came with varying degrees of problems for different women. Though now wasn't exactly the best time to ask such things since food had arrived.
He had eaten the better part of a half a steak and had no idea exactly how much his new stomach could hold, but one can always make room for some pizza. Lifting her right hand from its resting place near the pistol he reached out and took a slice of the pizza. He made no movement in protest to the squeal that came from his former body, he knew it would do no good and he might as well not get worked up over minor things like that.
After consuming a few bites of the slice he decided to bring back up the topic of how the switch happened. "So the best lead we have so far as to how this happened is King Pharmaceuticals. Perhaps paying what remains after the mutant brawl there a visit could provide some answers."
She wrinkled her man nose, another effeminate expression. "I believe that you were there, but uh-- maybe you missed the show." She finished chewing before looking over at herself. "They shot me, shot that body, with something that made me rip apart the building." Michael's body popped the last bit of pizza in his mouth and savored it.
"I don't know if you are quite welcome there, Elle." Her mantone didn't sound particularly bothered by this fact. It was simply the way it was. She didn't particularly love the Order and it was clear that the Order held no particular love for her. It was kind of a shame really. It would have been nice to be loved by someone.
She grabbed another piece of pizza. Did men ever fill up? She inhaled that slice as well while she considered her options for the future. In this body... she was actually someone else. She could use his name or really any name and it wouldn't matter. She could visit people she knew before she became a mutant, she could visit people who knew she was a mutant now and find out some things she'd always wished to know.
Assuming that she would one day go back into her own body... this could be useful.
The problem was... did she even want to go back? Lori looked at her old body carefully. Michael would no doubt hate the thoughts running through her head.
"I was a bit busy with Meld and her attaching herself to construction equipment." The Ranger stated, following a moment later with, "So you were the one to trash the building. That's impressive!"
If Elle's body would be unwelcome than either she would have to go in my body, or I'll have to covertly enter in this body.
He pondered a moment how he would go about remaining unseen in Elle's body, the magnetism thing would make it more difficult. Yet, it could also be used to create distractions to create openings in the security net.
"If planned properly, with good intelligence, than gaining entry could still be possible. Back in my military days gaining entry into guarded facilities was something that I had been trained in as well as tasked to accomplish."
He sat back, his new body full. Yet, as he did enjoy eating food that tasted good, the lack of room fit it in compared to what he used to was saddening. As he sat he thought about what if this was to be permanent. He hoped that it wasn't, but there was the possibility and that did frighten him. Being in this body was bad, but being stuck in it forever was a true nightmare.
ManLori derived some small amount of satisfaction from Michael's compliment. She was powerful. It was just a shame that power had it's costs. This body was less powerful and therefore had less negatives attached. She mansighed when her own voice started suggesting covert operations. "I dunno, Kimosabi. Rambo-ing into potentially lethal situations with an unfamiliar body and unfamiliar powers sounds like a very bad idea." Not that she was afraid, mind you, but that she'd been through a rather difficult time recently. She wasn't in any rush to get this glorious manbody into a sticky situation.
"Why don't we give it a day... see if it changes back first?" Michael's arm sliiiiid across Lori's shoulder. "And even then, you wouldn't have to go in guns-a-blazin'" She tried to think about how much she wanted to reveal and how much he might need to know.
"You catch more flies with honey than force." She pulled her old body in close for a hug, short of physically hurting him it wouldn't be worth it to try and stop him. "Seriously, look at you. You're tiny." And for once it was fun to do the manhandling rather than be manhandled. No one ever believed her threats until she made good on them... and the thought of seeing Michael try to use womanly wiles was a promising thought.
"Why don't we give it a day... see if it changes back first? And even then, you wouldn't have to go in guns-a-blazin'"
The Ranger ignored the arm sliding across her shoulder, it wasn't worth the hassle of fighting Elle off. "I wasn't talking about a forced entry, but rather a covert operation. And as for giving it a day, I really do hate just sitting on my hands!"
When Elle next spoke she pulled the Ranger into a hug and he pushed against his old body a little in protest. "So what would you propose I do? If after a day or so we haven't changed back to ourselves. Stand around and look pretty to see if they let me in?" He had made the statement in jest but had a feeling that to some extent that is what Elle had meant.
"I guess the question is what do we do while waiting to see if this....this...cognitive dislocation will correct itself in the next day?" He omitted the next question of what to do if it seems to be permanent in the hopes that by not saying it, it would not come to be.
"I could sit on your hands for you." She was only offering to be helpful. She grinned at the look pretty comment. It had gotten her quite far despite the fact that she wasn't a perfect 10. ManLori hugged Michael closer until he put his hands on her manchest.
He asked what she wanted to do and she leaned her manlips just brushed the edge of Michael's womanear. "What would you like to do?"
With Michael's womanhands on her chest and one of Lori's manhands on her body's hip and the other on her shoulder, it was a simple thing to bump against the holster to angle it down and her other manhand to come up and lift the catch in order to free the dirty little weapon from her cute little body.
Lori turned and dug the barrel of the gun into her ribs, but in this manbody she didn't feel a thing. "What's with the gun, Michael?" With the jean jacket still over the weapon and her manhands it just looked like Lori was getting fresh with herself. And who would want to interrupt that? "Don't you trust me?" She chuckled a dark man chuckle.
"I wouldn't try to use your power either." she whispered so sweetly to herself, "We wouldn't want a shock to accidentally cramp up a finger and shoot you now would we?"
As Elle said it his old lips brushed across his new ear, and with it again came the split in his psyche. The body liked it but the mind abhorred it and in response he moved her head away looking off to the side. "...I don't know. In this situation there isn't anything I would like to do, aside from finding away to fix it." As he was there, held close by Elle he didn't notice the move on his pistol until it was dug into ribs, at which time he turned her head back to look at Elle. Not good. He thought to himself.
"What's with the gun, Michael? Don't you trust me?" Elle asked him and before he answered the woman in his body who now had control of his weapon continued, "I wouldn't try to use your power either. We wouldn't want a shock to accidentally cramp up a finger and shoot you now would we?"
He wondered whether or not Elle would actually fire, she was not privy to the knowledge of what kind of rounds were in the gun. That meant that Elle would have more reason not to fire, but the wires under her arms showed that Elle was willing to do the extreme. The Ranger knew that the gun was only loaded with tranqs but now was not a good time for someone to just pass out and the gun enter into public view with everyone looking their way wondering why someone collapsed.
"I always travel with a gun it can be useful at times, and no I don't trust you." He began cautiously, and after a short pause continued with a question. "So how is this going to play out, do you plan on firing unless I cooperate?"
"Of course I'd fire on me." It was as simple as you or me. Besides, if there was an option to swap back later and there was no one to swap with... she'd be set with her whole new identity. Oh sure, she coldn't enjoy men the same way, but she was sure she could convince herself to like women.
Lori pushed the gun closer, harder into her soft flesh, though this time it was just a by product of her popping the clip out. She was curious what was in there, it felt far too light to be bullets, though it could have been a by product of suddenly being a man with manmuscles, she wanted to be sure rather than have imperfect knowledge on an important matter.
Bestowing a peck on her cheek for not packing real heat, Lori slid the gun into one pocket and the clip into the other. She didn't care for guns, but really she cared that he now was without one. She was to give herself no advantage. "Ready to go, sweety?" Where they were going was up to her, but hopefully it'd be a place where Lori could slip away from herself.
The Ranger was glad that the gun was no longer pointed at herself, but until he had it back from Elle it could be easily brought back against him. And he knew that trying to forcibly take it back would be foolish, it would merely lead to his old body's power overpowering him. He was pulled back from the brief moment with his thoughts by a peck on her cheek which the Ranger responded to by giving Elle an indignant sideways stare.
"Ready to go, sweety?"
"Yeah." The Ranger replied as she reached into her pocket and drew out the keys to the General, again he slid the ring down a finger and held the keys in the palm of her hand. "First thing we need to do is go to a gas station, fill up the tank and maybe pick up supplies inside. My hotel doesn't currently have everything that would be needed if I am still in this body in four days. "
Separating herself from Elle the Ranger made her way to the door and upon reaching it opened it and slipped through. When the Ranger reached the General she jumped up and slid into the car through the window.
