The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As the girl, Iris, sent another girl flyng, Nicki's eyes went wide and her mouth dropped a little. "Whoa" she whispered, looking to the man next to her. "Yeah...gonna vote bad,".
Michael called out for her to check on Raina, which she assumed was the girl who had just been sent flying. Nicki obliged, only since she had no idea what else to do in this situation. Sure she might be able to identify what was wrong with her, since Nicki read medical books for this exact reason, but providing Raina wasn't okay, what the hell was Nicki gonna do about? Nicki knew a lot of first aid, but there was no way she knew how to treat "throw a frickin mile by a mutant who's on your side".
"Raina? Raina talk to me...are you okay?" Nicki started in as she started checking Raina's pulse.

Mettaliar jumped back as water shot out from the ground and shoved the lady back from her. He quickly thought about running after her before Nicki, the girl talking the him, got to her first. He quickly ran behind the man who took the majority of the bullets Iris fired at them. "Get back and take cover!" he shouted to the other students.
Suddenly he felt the man walking towards Iris. He quickly grabbed his shoulders tell him to stop. "Dude, do you REALLY want to die? Don't go over to her. She does not know who you are and doesn't respond with ANYTHING but retaliation. We can't get her to stop on her own. She is apparently too influenced by this effect that she'll even go crazy when... oh nevermind. Just stop why don't ya?"

“Relax,” Michael called back to the guy telling him to step back, “I’m invincible, can’t be hurt. You get everyone else to safety and I’ll keep an eye on Iris. She can’t hurt me.”
Michael never took his eyes off Iris, not because he worried that she’d attack him, but because he worried that she’d attack someone else and he’d have to try and block it. She seemed to control water, so as long as he kept her away from the pool her supply should be limited.

Ted was casually walking through the halls minding his own business. The last thing he expected was what sounded like an explosion and people yelling. He swiftly ran outside, and the first thing he noticed was Raina, and she looked hurt. Then he noticed some girl, who was firing something at someone else. Does he want to die? Then Ted recognized him; it was Michael! Remembering his power, Ted decided not to worry about him, and focus his attention on Raina. That, and being hit by whatever was being thrown at Michael would probably just make the situation a whole lot worse. He sprinted to Raina's side, and turned to the person who seemed to know something about first aid. "Is she alright? Please tell me she's alright." At the back of Ted's mind, something told him to just run, and avoid the psycho that was trying to blast everyone. But he knew he had to help Raina. He still kept an eye on the crazy woman, as she broke a tree. Well, as long as she doesn't break people, I'm ok with that. He lifted up Raina, and turned to the woman who'd been trying to give her first aid. "Which way to the infirmary?"

Nicki was trying to get Raina's vitals and assess her damage when another person came running up.
"I don't know if she's okay. She got hit badly, her pulse is pretty low, and stuff might be broken but I can't really-"
Before she could finish, the man had scooped her up. Nicki wasn't really sure that was the best thing to do in this situation, considering if there was serious damage the last thing that should be been done was for her to be moved in such a way. But that was a closed window.
"Which way to the infirmary?"
"Down the first hall, third door"
Nicki stood up, looking over to Iris again, walking a bit closer. She tried to lock in on Iris' thoughts, but stay close to the ground and avoid flying impliments of doom as well.

Mettaliar stayed ducked behind this guy as the bullets and everything bounced off of his body. All he could do was raise an eyebrow and nod his head. Damn if only I could switch powers with that guy. He looked over at the others as he waved them inside. "Get inside and watch out!" he yelled at the others. He got up and started to run towards them then stopped and looked back.
"Look, you mind if I stay out here and cover you? Not that I don't trust you, but I don't have the guts to leave you out here all alone with her. I just have this doubt." He knew it sounded stupid and everything yet his concern was always for others and something in his stomach weighed him down to want to stay out and fight just in case. Before the man could even answer him he started to form a staff. He considered making his custom one, yet instead went with just a regular staff. It wasn't like he was trying to kill Iris or anything.

They were getting too close again, and Iris kept backing up. She stepped onto a rock, and tripped struggling to keep her balance. She looked down, but didn't 'see' anything. When she looked back, the one figure had split into two, and the second one was holding something long and thin. The hallucinations had her convinced that they both had fangs and claws, and that long thing was spiked on the end. And they were moving again, toward her.
Adrenaline pumping, she pulled the mud blob together again, adding more water, and size, to it. The blob split in three parts. One snapped out and wrenched the spiky staff away, tossing it, unknowingly, directly at Raina and the boy who was holding her. The other two globs lashed out at the figures, wrapping around their legs or arms. With a sort of gutteral cry she swept her arms apart, sending both figures through the air, in opposite directions.
Again she collapsed to her hands and knees, starting to shake again.

Whack!! Ted had listened to the instructions given to him, and was almost at the mansion, when something solid connected with his back. He stumbled forward, dropping Raina as he fell to his knees. His vision was blurred, and he only noticed one thing. He had forgotten about Raina, the psycho lady, everything, and just focused on the fur covering his hands. "Nooo!" But the sound became a misshapen, deathly howl, as his vocal chords shifted shape and his jaw extended forward. His ears moved up towards the top of his head, and he grew in stature. A tail sprouted from the end of his spine, and his hands became paws, ending in deadly claws. The beast swirled around, its pain threshold through the roof, as it searched for the one who had unleashed it. Something was about to face a large, furry problem.
Tristan walked around the mansion admiring the building *BOOM* Tristan snapped to attention and ran down the hall he had heard it come from. Out a large window and saw debree flying through the air. "Oh great isn't this a hell of a way to get used to my powers." He quickly removed his gloves and boots running out the door. He grabbed a pebble from his pocket and clapped his hands forming them into giant rocks.

Michael was sent flying across the mansion grounds and landed. Hard. He quickly got up and wiped off the worst of the mud. Looking around he saw Ted nearby. Ted was changing. Oh crap.
“Sorry mate, but you’re going to have to handle Iris. We have another problem.” Seeing Ted standing over Raina he picked up a small rock and flung it at the back of Ted’s head. “Over here fuzz ball!”
“Nicki, once Ted starts trying to eat me get Raina to safety ok?” With that taken care of Michael braced himself for whatever Ted was about to throw at him.

The beast spotted Micheal just as he threw the rock. The rock did little damage, but it was enough to get the beast really peeved. It let out a blood-curdling roar, and threw itself at Micheal. The beast flung outward with its arms, sending Micheal careening into a tree. It advanced towards him slowly; no need to rush, no prey could survive that sort of punishment. Time for lunch.

Mettaliar felt the staff fling out of his hands. His arm reached out to grab it yet saw the mud wrap around him and pulling his arm towards his body. All he could let out was a "Oh f-" before being sent into the air. He took some of the matter from the mud and metalized it forming two blades in which he cut the rest of the mud away from him. He then made a long pole and stuck it into the ground halting him in midair. The pole bounced back and sent him into the air gliding towards the ground, in which he landed.
He jumped up and looked over at the man who yelled at him to take on Iris. He would normally debate, yet noticing the beast in the corner of his eye shut him up without a word. He flinged his hair out of his eyes and formed a staff and a few very dull knives. "Got it dude. Good luck with that." he called over at the man of invincibility. He walked over towards Iris breathing a bit heavy. "C'mon Iris, let's break you free from this state of mind!" he called out to get the attention of her.

Michael hit the tree with enough force to crack the trunk. Getting back to his feet he quickly dusted himself off and called out to the weapon creator “Don’t worry about me, I think you may have the tougher job.”
“Right now, come on Ted, follow me,” Michael began to move back, away from Iris and the others. Ted’s powers were activated by pain, so Michael guessed that he had two choices. Either cause Ted enough pain to incapacitate him, or wait until he healed from the pain he’d suffered.
Now seeing as he doubted he could incapacitate Ted’s beast form he settled with plan B. And for plan B to work he couldn’t have Iris hammering Ted. So he kept moving away from Iris, enticing the beast to come at him.
Tristan ran out to the middle of the feild two battles wadging on eather side of him. "Hey anyone care to explain whats going on here." He dug his feet into the ground struggling for control and preparing to unleash his powers.

The beast snarled at Micheal, annoyed that he was still breathing. Not to mention that he didn't appear hurt at all. The beast snarled at Micheal, as the prey moved away. The beast lunged at its prey, and smashed it straight down, into the earth. It then picked the prey up, and flung it straight up, watching it fall into the depression it had just created. The beast snarled at the prey, infuriated at the lack of damage. It hauled the prey up, off of the floor, and then, gripping hold of its ankle, smashed it into the floor repeatedly. Still, no effect. The beast snarled, decided that this prey was too much effort, and flung it away, towards the mansion. The beast turned towards the other noises, and spotted two other fighting each other. This was much easier prey.
