The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

ythan's hands suddenly felt as if they were being attacked by a thousand tiny ants. Soon after, however, he realized that CS had grabbed the staff and had frozen it, a state that continued into his hand. With this sudden realization, Tythan tried to lose his grip on the staff, but it wouldn't budge. It was frozen to his hand. He could always try merging with it and than unmerging from it, that would work to detach himself, but he had underestimated how much energy it took to merge and doubted he could do it again. He could also break it, but wasn't exactly looking forward to the the impact jarring through his hand. So instead he held onto it until he could do something about it.
"Good work Tythan, nice effort!" CS added in a quick appraising way. Tythan allowed just the slightest of smiles to cross his face, but inside he was jumping about like a lunatic. It was his first high difficulty training session, and he had received a "Good job"
Tythan stood up as Dom took the lead, shaking his hand crazily hoping that somehow the staff would decide it was no longer stuck to his hand. He hunched over, adrenaline was fading away, and he was definitely shivering now. He looked up at where the other two fought and was about to charge back in again, even if it did mean collapsing after two steps, when he finally realized that Dom was dealing with a little more than simple sibling rivalry. It was as if the animal of rage inside of him was finally released, and wasn't about to be caged again any time soon.
Sam called for rain, offered two quick kicks in a less than sportsmanlike location, and rolled away in an attempt to gain some ground before what seemed to be an inevitable chase.
"Tythan, change of plans, try avoiding Dom, he isn't himself!"
Hmm, exactly what i was thinking... mused Tythan. Now he was almost wishing that he had entirely forgotten about the training session rather than just being late, whatever the consequence may have been, this probably was worse... even if Dom wasn't coming after him. So now, he had a dilemma, how to not get in the way without proving a coward. The most obvious way to get away would be to merge and just stay there, but that was hardly a courageous action, and he still didn't feel up to it. So he just stood there his hand stuck to a staff, and hoping for the best...or at least that the staff would thaw quicker.
No matter what species of mammal you were in the animal kingdom, every male knew which area was the most sensitive part of their body and they knew injury to it meant excruciating pain that no woman is lucky that they will never have the pleasure of knowing. Except maybe childbirth, but that's just nature taking it's course, getting kicked in the jewels isn't! A boy who's mind was replaced with that of a pissed off gorilla had just received a very hard kick to the crotch. You can bet that only fuel his anger more, but Dominic had to take a second to cup himself with his hands and fall over, all the while releasing blood curdling growls and screams and simultaneously thinking of what the best method would be to put Sam six feet below. Perhaps a powerful punch to the neck, snapping it. Maybe ripping off his limbs...like that'd be easy to do. This was Cold Steel we were talking about trying to murder. Not exactly the easiest mutant to take out.
Alright, the cold temperature and the rain, combined with the pain of having been kicked in the man marbles, Dominic was starting to slow down physically, but had yet to get a grip mentally on his powers. He eyed both Sam and then Tythan. Two threats that needed to be eliminated, he figured taking out the youngest and weakest would be easier. The 16 year old gathered himself and locked eyes with Tythan. Mustering the bit of strength he had left, he charged for the other boy, teeth bared and ready to deliver a fatal blow with his fists.

At least he's slowing down a bit... Tythan thought as the other teen picked himself up. But he was pretty sure that Dom hadn't fully gripped reality yet. Tythan bent over and tried to catch his breath a bit. CS could fend for himself for the time being.
He looked up and realized that Gorilla Dom had locked eyes with him and was now charging towards him. Tythans first instinct was to shake the staff off even harder, then he realized that getting rid of the staff was hardly going to help him much. So instead he gripped it harder. He felt strong enough to merge now, he just hoped that whatever he ended up merging with, if he ended up merging, would prove useful. In other words, he desperately hoped he didn't merge with the cactus on his left.
As Dom closed in, Tythan closed his eyes, focused, and swung with all his might for the right side of Dom's head, hoping desperately that something would happen.
Something did happen, he merged with the staff as it was still moving. This was a new experience. He'd figured that he could merge with a moving object, but had never succeeded in doing it... Then again, he'd never really practiced that much, and hadn't been in such a stressful, life-threatening situation.
Now he had an idea. As he felt the staff...himself...closing in on the target, he shifted all his weight to the far end. This had the effect of swinging the staff around Dom's head towards the other side. Tythan shifted again, to the end from which the blow would come. He didn't know how much pain this would create if it actually did connect, but he figured that Dom could take it...especially Gorilla Dom.

The worst thing about deserts was the lack of moisture in the air but as raindrops fell Sam smiled as his problem was solved. This excise wasn’t only intended to push Dom and Tythan but himself as well after all it was very difficult to create ice from a dry desert like the one they were in. The rain hit against his skin as he looked back to his brother. No longer was Dom focused solely on Sam he was in fact turning his attention to Tythan. Was it do to instincts? Predators often go for the easier kill but seconds ago Dom was prepared to crush his only brother, just what was he planning on doing to Tythan?
”DOM!” Sam called out as he ran towards the pair of fighting mutants one merged with a staff now while the other was threatening to bash his brains in. as the rain continued to fall Sam expelled a wave of cold from his body as the sand covered in water began to freeze making it more and more difficult for those without the proper foot gear to remain standing.
Jumping into the air Sam lifted his feet high behind his body as he propelled a tackle towards Dom, he may be strong but he was standing on ice so it would be difficult to remain standing arms wrapped around his waist Sam hugged Dom tightly as he charged him into the ground hoping that he could pin Dom once they were on the ground. ”Get a hold of yourself Stupid!”

The new prey proved to be trickier to kill than expected and gorilla Dom found himself being struck in the side of his head. A strong blow, it caused Dom to stumble a bit and his vision a bit blurry. He let out another roar...that damn stick had to be snapped in half now. Suddenly, the feral mutant found himself struggling to keep his footing. His brother had decided to freeze over the floor. An audible Oof was released once Dom had hit the ground from Sam's tackle.
”Get a hold of yourself Stupid!”
Easier said than done. Dom continued thrashing , but his strength had weakened from exhaustion. He was cold and wet, major pain aching in his body and a serious migraine courtesy of Tythan, the magic staff. Actually, a good thwack to the head had done good. The gorilla's mind was starting to weaken and the suppressed human mind had began to pull through. They were now battling each other for control. The boy wasn't thrashing to be released anymore, he literally had a battle going on in his head. "I...can't!" the first words uttered since the rampage had begun. A sign that Dominic had regained a bit of control. Seriously, where was a telepath when you needed one? It would have been easier to have one of them clear away the animal's mind, instead, the 16 year old was forced to fight a war inside his own mind. Focus...focus. This wasn't the first time he's had to suppress an animal's mind in his head, then again, simple minds like rodents and insects were nothing compared to a gorilla's. His movements ceased and those blue eyes rolled back into Dom's skull. The battle of the minds was a draw. There was no winner. Just an unconscious Dominic laying in his older brother's arm. Definitely not a Kodak moment at all.

The staff bounced and slid across the icy ground and then finally came to a stop. Tythan "unmerged" from it and stumbled slightly on the ice, but was able to find his balance. A throbbing in his side reminded him of a part of his ability he hadn't even considered before. If anything happened to the object he merged with, he'd feel it in the end. Apparently just getting roughed up a bit constituted pain from the wound from his first encounter with this concept. At least this time it didn't hospitalize him. The weird thing was that there was no rhyme or reason to where the pain would be. He'd considered this before and come to the conclusion that when he was merged, his own self was everywhere within the object at the same time... or something like that.
Tythan looked around and spotted Dom and CS on the ground. Thankfully Dom had regained his own mind, however, he was now unconscious. Maybe this battle would mend whatever sibling problems were going on between those two...maybe. Tythan now found himself awkwardly staring at his shoes. He didn't know what to do. Then he realized how exhausted he was and came to a solution. He collapsed to the icy ground and lay on his back. He didn't care how wet it was, he didn't care how cold it was, he didn't care that his muscles would cramp up [though he'd later regret it.], he just didn't feel like standing anymore, and most likely wasn't able to.

Reacting quickly to his brother’s fall Sam caught him with a sigh as the Danger Room continued to cry out a frozen rain. Deactivating his powers and calling for the end of the simulation Sam looked around for Tythan and found him lying on the ground that was no longer a desert but the regular even floor of the Danger Room. Throwing his brother on his shoulder in a fireman carry Sam walked over to Tythan and spoke quickly, ”You alright?”
Sighing slightly Sam leaned over and placed Dom next to Tythan and said, ”Sit tight Doc will be coming in a second…” giving the danger room the go ahead it called up Doc’s office line and patched him though the P.A. system in the Danger Room. ”DOC Accident Danger Room Hurry!” knowing full well he would be getting an earful from the Doc, Sam prepared himself for it as he worried over his brother and Tythan who were now both laying next to each other one out cold the other looking as he was going to pass out.
The doors of the Danger room whooshed open as the old doctor hurried his way to the center of the danger room. A quick look at the boys and then a sharp look at Sam then the old man spoke, “You made it sound worse then it actually is… your brother in time will be fine just rest while the young man here… he is just exhausted but I’ll do what I can to heal them…” as Doc bent over and started his work on Dom a pair of old fingers touched his arm. “Care to tell me why your brothers groin are this bruised?”
Looking towards his brother Sam sighed, ”He lost control of his powers, I did what I had to, to take him down without any permanent damage…” Doc laughed slightly and said, “If I got here any later it could have been for good next time go for something less vulnerable alright?” a small light extended from Doc’s fingers as it flowed into Dom’s body, bruises and cuts healed quickly as the look on Doc’s face went from a worried one to a more relaxed one.
After a minute or two Doc stood up and walked over to Tythan and repeated his healing, “You all right?” he asked with a concerned tone as he closed his eyes for a brief moment to try and determine what area needed healing. After a minute there Doc stood up walked over to Sam and gave him a stern look followed by a sarcastic comment, “This another one of your amazing Danger Room sessions?”
