The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"You'll have to make sure to grab yourself some food when you get hungry. I hear Sam is a real master on the grill." . "Don't those burgers smell good?"
Food, all she had been eating was the cereal boxes that she found in the lower cabinet of the kitchen. She took 2 of them at night and hid them in her "room" just in case. but now there was talk about different food. About burgers. At the pinacle of human existence, people still ate bad food over good food. She was guilty of that crime aswel though. Strange how things go.
Well she smelled the burgers but she wasn't that extreemly hungry. She still wanted to try them eventually. But could this sam be thrusted with the burgers. He might have bad intentions for her. She was always paranoid like this. The voices in her head didn't help much either. They mostly stimulated her bad and insecure thoughts and left the rest for the dogs sort of speak. "Who is sam." She had to ask before she could even consider venturing to the grill.

"Sam?" Luke asked, his tone obviously surprised that Cailyn didn't know the ice mancer. Didn't everyone know Sam? The flamboyant flirt that was as loyal as the dogs he so loved yet as dangerous as a winter ice storm.
"Well, Sam is... Sam. He's one of the mansion greeters, super friendly, a little firtacous with the girls, and an over all good guy. He's over by the grill... no... he's in the water over there by Alexandra." Luke explained as he swept the area at the pool and then successfully pointed to where Sam was climbing out of the pool and heading over to the grill. "He's the one that jumped in to help you after I knocked you in the water."
The question seemed to catch luke of guard. Was sam that famous around these parts. Not that famous ment anything. They where still "human".

She looked over at the guy in the water. He seemed very normal and not very famous, Strange. But he was very familiar somehow, had she seen him somewhere before. She pondered about it while the voices started throwing suggestions at here. Some of them where even half nice guesses. "He's the one that jumped in to help you after I knocked you in the water."
Ow now he rang a bell. The saving live guard man. Somehow she found him to have a bit of a chilly person. Maybe that ment he was extra layed back, maybe not. Never the less she was saved by him. She turned her head a bit back to luke. "Maybe i should thank him after swimming classes?" It was kind of a suggestion and question at the same time.

Watching the expressions on Cailyn's face was deffinately interesting. Sometimes she seemed about as clueless as could be while at other times she seemed to grasp her surroundings with astounding clarity. She acted like a child but yet she was obviously not a child. She was a mystery and Luke found himself wondering what her story was. What could her mutant ability be? What had her parents been like?
"Thanking him would deffinately be a good choice." Luke said with a smile and a slight nod that was carefully controlled to make sure his head didn't dip below the water, "He is a nice guy though. You'll probably like him. Plus, since he lives here he can show you around and introduce you to people much better than I can."
"Thanking him would deffinately be a good choice."
Luke confirmed that it would be the best idea to thank him. "Then i will" She said with a smile. It was nice to meet nice people for once. Luke had a very thrusting aura around him. He was nice and he probably didn't deserve to be blind. But he did have a handy dandy power.
"He is a nice guy though. You'll probably like him. Plus, since he lives here he can show you around and introduce you to people much better than I can."
A nice guy, but cold seemingly. Luke seemed to have lots of fate into that young man. She however was a bit paranoide about lots of things, especially about people she didn't know. However he did save her. She did already get a short tour from the headmistress.
She stood up again and wanted to try the swimming trick again. She had lots of question for luke though if he was so thrusting towards people. Everyone was very thrusting here. it was odd. She turned her head to luke and started to shoot one of her question. "What happends here ? " She asked. She had been picking up things like secret planes and traininggrounds. Even a basement full of secrets. It was time for some answer, or atleast attempt to get some.

Cailyn stood up and began to get into position like she was going to try some of the swimming strokes again when out of nowhere she suddenly threw a question his direction.
"Well here we normally do our swimming and have our barbeques." Luke replied with a chuckle as he dropped from his floating position back into a slight crouch in the shallow water, "But somehow I don't think that's what you're asking about."
Focusing his sonar just a little more on the young woman, Luke paid close attention to her body language. Being blind had its problems but an advantage to his sonar was that he was excellent at reading peoples muscle movements. He could normally tell when someone was lieing or hiding something before anyone else could, or at least when it came to humanoids. With that bird that had delivered the golden doors several months ago he'd been unable to pick up anything but Cailyn wasn't a bird.
"This is a school for mutants to not only get an education but also to focus in gaining control of their abilities. Why do you ask?"
"This is a school for mutants to not only get an education but also to focus in gaining control of their abilities. Why do you ask?"
School weren't supposed the have planes hidden in their basements. Or secret training rooms either. Where did she get those ideas from. Maybe it was a secret, maybe it was a very big secret. Cailyn wasn't very good at keeping secret because she couldn't keep secret from normal appart.
She slowly swam towards luke until she was close. She got up again and softly said. "Maybe it's a secret, but i heard there was a plane in the basement." She spoke so soft that probably nobody could hear her. She nodded when she said that in a manner that she too knew about it. Somehow she just knew, and it was all a matter of time before she found out how luke would respond to her knowing things. This could ofcourse lead to trouble somehow eventually.

Luke raised an eyebrow as Cailyn approached and then asked her question. Quickly he searched his memory for anything concerning a plane and got zilch. He knew about the X-Men, heck he was one. He knew about his late night activities as Wraith and he knew about Sam's late night activities as... whatever name the ice mancer had chosen. But he hadn't heard about any secret hangar or plane.
"You must have a better spy network than I do because I'm afraid I missed out on that information." Luke said with a slight grin, while a part of his mind wondered whether Cailyn might be right. He wouldn't be surprised if the X-Men needed some sort of jet but he'd have to ask Sam about it some time.
"Why so curious though? Don't a lot of schools have private planes for the administrative staff to fly around in?"
Luke knew that was not the sort of plane that she must be referring to but he was going to do his best to keep up at least some sort of pretense. He didn't live in the mansion and as such it was best for him to play dumb as much as possible.
"You must have a better spy network than I do because I'm afraid I missed out on that information."
She did ofcourse have a better spy network then anyone. She picked up stuff mentally and not many people where trained against that to say the least. Luke wasn't very skilled at repelling mental powers either. She picked up that he knew something about the plane thing.
"Why so curious though? Don't a lot of schools have private planes for the administrative staff to fly around in?"
Paranoia kicked in. Luke knew something more about it but he wasn't telling. Even the whispers where yelling at her that he lied. She placed her hands on her head seeing as the whispers where hurting again. She sat down on the ground of the pool and softly spoke:"You lie." It wasn't in a angry or scared tone, it was more of a tone of making a statement that is a fact. He knew something and she knew that he knew something.

Luke raised an eyebrow as he looked at Cailyn. Suddenly his view of the young woman was changing. Sure she came across as exceptionally innocent but she was also extremely perceptive. Perhaps that had something to do with her mutant ability, whatever it might be. Was she a human lie detector or something?
"I am not lieing about the plane." Luke said, his mind focusing on the honest of his statement and refusing to allow any thoughts about other secrets to come to the forefront. If she was a human lie detector then he needed to focus on the truth. "A lot of schools and other organizations have private planes. Heck, even my business has a private plane. But, I've never heard about any plane being in the basement. Sorry."
Something was strange about this whole situation and Luke made note to talk to Sam about it. Maybe the ice mancer would have some idea about this strange young woman. At the very least, he could glance at her file and get some idea about what she could do.
"A lot of schools and other organizations have private planes. Heck, even my business has a private plane. But, I've never heard about any plane being in the basement. Sorry."
The explanation itself ment nothing much. They where just words to go around. Cailyn knew something was fishy and that she was to find out for herself soon. All she had done now is raise suspision around herself. She should do what she learned at the sanctuary, act normal. Or atleast as normal as she could. It got her out of weird spots before.
"Sorry." She said. "I shouldn't call people liers" She added. She was sorry if she would be wrong, and sorry that she spazzed out so much. Nothing she could do about it though. Her head was very crowded. She still just sad there in the pool looking down at the water, slowly rocking her body back and forth trying to get the voices out of her head. If she could she would tell them to leave , but she already made to much trouble. However, she now was more determined to find out what this basement really was, and ofcourse to find the plane. She had never been on a plane before.

Luke nodded, accepting the apology from the young woman with a smile. Sure a part of him was now curious and slightly suspicious but until he knew something was wrong there was no reason to be anything but nice.
"It's all right Cailyn. All of us make mistakes occasionally. How about you try some of those swimming strokes so we can make sure you've got the basic premise down?"
There was deffinately more to this woman that met the eye but that could be dealt with later. Luke knew there would be time to have a chat with Sam or maybe Raina through the course of the party. Since they were both mansion greeters surely one of them would know something about this mysterious girl.
It's all right Cailyn. All of us make mistakes occasionally. How about you try some of those swimming strokes so we can make sure you've got the basic premise down?"
It was alright, no harm down, no suspision. Or was there ? Not that it mattered. First she handled the voices, then she would carry on with the swimming lessons, no harm done. She rubbed her head some more as she attempted to calm down. It worked a bit slowly and eventually they would calm down. She just hoped it would happen soon.
She rubbed her head and eyes, and pulled a painfull face before she was ready to swim again. She rubbed her left eye one last time and slowly got up. "ok" She said shortly. She took her starting position and pushed into the water again. She slowly swam around the shallow and in a attempt to train it a bit more. She just hoped she was doing alright at staying normal now and not getting to much attention to herself. Attention always leads to unwanted attention and she couldn't use any of that.

Luke watched Cailyn quietly as she began to swim. She seemed to be a fast learner and she was maintaining good form as she stroked but he could still tell something was bothering her. Whatever she might be, she was not an expert at masking her emotions from others. If she was bothere or preoccupied by something it was right out there for everyone to see.
For tent or fifteen minutes the blind man just sat back and watched her swim until finally she seemed to be tired out again. "Why don't we say class dismissed for a while?" Luke called out, checking to make sure that she was OK standing up before he made his way over to the stairs to exit the pool, "Those burgers are starting to smell really good!"
Once she was safely out of the water Luke would snag some food and then the investigation would begin. Who was Cailyn? What was her story? What was her ability? And how did she know someone was being deceptive?
"Why don't we say class dismissed for a while?" "Those burgers are starting to smell really good!"
Lesson where over and dinner time was up. She never had dinner time at a pool before. She had lots of firsts since the breakout. She swam towards the pools shallow stairs and she got up. She rubbed her hair out of her face. She climbed up the stairs and walked past luke who was seemingly waiting for her. What was he up too anyways.
She smelled the food coming from the barbeque area. It smelled good and her tummy started to talk to her a little. "Shh." She said softly. "You will get something in a second." She continued in the same soft voice only talking to herself. Luke wouldn't hear her probably and if he did it would simply make her look weird. Well atleast a bit weirder then before.
