CharacterPersonality: Ahorta happens to be a paranoid schizophrenic. The insane things that she says tend to cause many people to flee from her sight. She has a strong, undeniable hatred for the human race because of what they have done to her. Her schizophrenic episodes of paranoia usually occur on a human, where she suddenly sees the human as something that scares her beyond belief and, depending on the situation, she will flee or fight until her last breath. Socially, she is very kind and looks out for her fellow mutants, however, she is paranoid that some humans are disguising themselves as mutants and coming after her, so she only trusts a mutant after they have shown symptoms of being a mutant. On rare occasions, she will remove her face mask, but that really only happens when she has to shower or eat or brush her teeth, other than that, she is afraid that someone’s breath will infect her with a disease that has been specifically designed to target and kill her. When it comes to touching, she is rather shy and does not even shake someone’s hand. The more she gets to know a mutant, the more comfortable she gets and the more likely that mutant is to being able to touch her. Ahorta also tends to obsess over things, such as TV shows and movies. Much of what she says are quotes from a movie or a TV show for she fears that people will identify her if she uses the original words that flow in her mind.
Hobbies/ Interests: When she actually has time to spend for herself and not making sure the home front is safe and sound, Ahorta enjoys watching television and reading. On occasion, she will buy a block of wood and spent about a week of carving through the wood using her power to make a model or a replica of something that she saw on the television.
Job or part time job and description: None
Fears/ phobias/ concerns:
Special talents: Her mind is like a memory bank of movies and TV shows. Even her name: Ahorta McCoy, are references to Star Trek. The Ahorta is a corrosive creature that is threatened and McCoy is the real name of the character Bones, who is the doctor on the USS Enterprise. When a movie or show is mentioned that she cannot reference, she becomes angered and hyperfocuses on learning about it.
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Bad, although she doesn’t really mean to be. Her fear of humans has grown so much that she has murdered a few of them during psychotic episodes. It seems that only the criminally insane can look at her without a frown, so she feels at home with ‘the baddies’.
MutationsMutation description: Ahorta has an acidic inner structure. While her skin and muscles are not affected by the acid that runs through where her bones should be, it makes areas of her body that are closer to her bones have acidic properties (such as her fingers and toes, primarily). This makes it so if she were to strangle someone, the acid would seep through her pores from her ‘bones’ and actually corrode the neck of her victim or whatever she is grabbing a hold of.
Strengths: When her psychotic episodes take hold, adrenaline rushes through her veins, so she tends to grow slightly stronger and is able to seep more acid through her fingers.
Weaknesses: Since she is afraid of touching or being touched, she doesn’t like to touch anyone with her acid power, instead she will try and corrode material holding something up (like a neon sign or something that she can eat through the surface and then send the large object down to crush her victim. Also, her fears may mix and send her into such panic and fright that she forgets she can use her acidic power and instead she just flees or curls up in a ball. Acid stops eating through materials after she lets go of the object or victim. Since the acid is in her bones, it never actually leaves her body to embed itself in the object or person.
Secondary mutation description:
Due to her acidic bones, which tend to firm when they attach to her muscles, her bones are able to be broken in every possible way but she can still move. Take for example: if she falls down a flight of stairs, she can just get right back up because the acid will immediately fill the broken spaces and continue to operate.
Strengths:
Being slowed down in battle is rather hard if she is hit by heavy objects. She can even jump from high areas and shatter her legs before just standing up. Breaking bones does not hurt her in the least bit.
Weaknesses:
One of her fears does happen to be a fear of immobility, so every bone breaking makes her scared that she will never be able to use it again until she moves it. Also, this does not give her healing abilities for if she is cut with something sharp and it cuts through her skin, she won’t heal. Injuries to the skin or to the muscles heal just as any other human, it is only her bones that can alter to fill any empty void where a break occurred.
Fighting Style Explanation: Depending on what she is seeing, she will adapt to whatever she feels is best to attack that fear. For example: if she thinks she is fighting a big spider, she will try her hardest to squash it. If she thinks she is fighting a frog, she’ll try to set it on fire. Just a flurry of unpredictable adrenaline-based moves. She’s no martial artist or a gunfighter, she just panics and whatever move she makes seems to work on most occasions.
Pros for fighting style: Her fits of fearful moves are unpredictable to most.
Cons for fighting style: Yet since she only fights out of fear, she doesn’t think things through and can easily be led into a trap.

History Of Your Character:Ahorta was actually born with a different name, but this name has long since been lost. When she was born, it was an accident. Her mother, also un-named, was a prostitute and her father was a reoccurring client of her’s. The two never got married, but they did move in together in an attempt to make Ahorta more comfortable and familiar with a ‘home life’. The primary goal her parents held for her was to have her go on and live a life completely different than the world she had been brought into. Unfortunately, they were not very good at doing this the ‘right way’ and instead proved to her day after day why the life they lived was awful. Ahorta was never hidden from her father when he came home drunk (which was much too often) and was never hidden from her mother’s clients and their ‘business’. She attended a school in the ghetto and was made fun of for her prostitute mother and drunk father.
When Ahorta turned 7, her father thought it was best to treat her the same way his father treated him, through ‘tough love’. This meant that on a drunk night when he was not allowed to enter his own bedroom because his ‘woman’ was with a client, he beat Ahorta. Her fragile body had been broken multiple times, but she was not taken to the hospital too often to avoid any suspicion of abuse. Instead, she had to heal on her own, which is when her mutation began to evolve. After being thrown down a flight of stairs at the age of 12, Ahorta was able to stand up before her father got to her again and run into the closet. It was then that she learned she could take her father’s brute force beatings. Many of her fears evolved from the way she was treated in her household.
When she was 14, her mother passed away from AIDS and she was left with her father. Since her father had kept away from touching his mother since she became pregnant with Ahorta, he was easily able to move on and keep her sadness away by beating some more sense into her. Ahorta began to develop all sorts of personality disorders and she was finally diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia when she was taken to a psychologist. Although her father did not agree with her wearing the face mask, she always claimed that she could be poisoned through the air and he finally just gave up on the mental case and sent her to a mental institution. While she was in the institution, her fears became more and more intense, especially around other humans, which she has her parents to thank for her fear of humans. It was here that she realized during her nights of holding onto windows in her ‘room’ that she could eat through anything so long as she touched it. After 8 years of carefully doing this, she was able to tunnel herself out of the institution and run away.
Since she has been out in the real world, she has killed 7 humans while under the belief that they were spiders, newts, clowns, and so on. Humans that appeared as tornados were safe because she would just run from them. Her fingerprints were never kept on file because every time a cop would try and put her fingerprints on file, she’d just eat through the paper. It was then that she was able to establish a new identity and called herself Ahorta McCoy.
