The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Upon hearing that Kasumi is from Juno he had to ask a question that had bugged him in the past. "I have heard from some people that the only way to get to Juno is from plane or boat, that there are no roads from the outside that connect to it since it is surrounded by water and mountains. Is that true?" And hearing Mettaliar's comment decides to throw in his two cents.
"Well Mattaliar if you do go to Texas I suggest checking out Bryan/College Station. It's not as big as city's like Austin, Houston, or the Dallas Fort. Worth area but it is really nice, plus it is an hour and a half to two hours away from both Austin and Houston so it can be part of a trip easily. Moreover it Is where I am from."
"Well I know a killer little palce were we can all eat outside and what not it is small with not alot of people and we can get a place with just the 4 of us. We can talk there. They have very good food."
"Sounds good to me, although I guess anywhere sounds right now..."
His phone beeped twice quickly and he reaches into his suit jacket's inside pocket and pulls out his G1 and hits a few things on the touch screen. He appears to read for a moment and then hits a button turning the screen black and he sets it back into his jacket pocket a slightly annoyed expression on his face. He had received an email from one of the board members he had just met with, the moron was trying to subvert the rest of the board and wanted his help.

Kasumi looks at all of them as she smiles soon she hooks her arm with Shana 's softly "Stick with me nothing bad will happen to you." She smiles to Shana huge soon she looks to Ranger as she nods "Yes you are right I took a bote I did not want to crash into ice cold water." She shakes her head as she smiles "Well she should get going." Kasumi soon lets out a giggle "No it is not the coffee shop... " She smiles more as she nods. Kasumi thought of the little place as she leads everyone to it. The place is in the middle of a small rose garden with tables set up.
The woman smile as she leads them all to tables handing them all menus. Kasumi smiles as she sits down looking around "They call it the Rose. Fitting name huh?" She was not lieing when she said that it was nice. Also the setting was nice with a few people around also. With the sweet scents around them Soon the woman comes back with water for all of them. Kasumi smiles as she takes a sip of her water as she looks to Shana "Get anything that you like do not mind the prince." Kasumi wanted her to feel happy and relaxed here "Also whatever you want to drink also." She does not stop smiling as she looks at the tow "So what are you powers? We told you on what we do now you tell us."
Kasumi has got use to things like this but she liked finding out also she is finding out that powers fits most people. She wonders why on that part. Like Kasumi does not want to hurt or kill people her poison just knocks people out that is all it does not hurt or kill them. So her powers of a poison tree frog fits her well. Kasumi soon leans back in her chair as she crosses her legs she does not stop smiling for a second she is with good people in a good setting and will soon have good food. What could be better?

Mettaliar took a long, deep puff from his cigar and tasted the sweet cherry taste. Slowly, he let the smoke drain from his mouth and nostrils upwards so to not get any into the faces of those around him. He listened and followed the conversation silently, save for the few hums of agreement as the conversation flowed. There was really nothing to add except for nods and those hums in between his cigar puffs. As the group left, he followed trying to smoke as much of his cigar as he could. Smoking in public places was frowned upon now-a-days and he knew he would have to put the cigar out or throw it away; and the latter was just out of the question.
As he sat down, he took his last puff before licking his thumb and poking out the flames on the end of his cigar. He took the napkin he had kept in his pocket for just that occasion and wrapped up the cigar and stuck it in his pocket. After he finished his quick vice clean-up, he picked up the menu and scanned through the sections he would usually get. He kept silent and let others talk amongst themselves while waiting for the time to join in himself.

Shana found a city only acessable by water to be interesting in itself. It was a bit hard ti imagine, but so had many things since she arrived. Shana was at the same time happy she had met Kasumi but found her to be a bit over bearing, almost to friendly for her to truly believe. Still she kept this to herself unsure if she was right ot if she was just being paranoid like usual. Hearing the Distance between cities again made America seem huge, you could almost get across her country the long way in that time. She had never tried it herself, but she had learned it from her breif training in the millatary which was required by all. "Thank you" she said to Kasumi's offer as she continued to look through the menu curiously, they certainly had a lot of choices and she guessed it was becuse their were people from all over the place here.
Scanning the Menu, Shana quickly found her choice and set the menu down, nodding to kasumi's offer to pay. It felt strange having someone else pay, but she did not want to argue the point either, afraid of hurting Kasumi's feelings. Mettalier seemed quite for now and Shana wonderd what he was thinking about. Americans were strange but not in a bad way, it was different to actually be here then to just hear about it on the news, ordering just a glass of water to start she listened to the others, being naturally quite and reserved. A few fingers played with a strand of her hair, she noticed mettlier had not answerd about his powers, maybe he just did wish to and she felt that was fine, some people preferred to keep things private.
The Ranger nodded as Kasumi answered his question, and laughing quietly when she stated her reason for not flying out. He then travels with the group as they make their way to the place called 'The Rose.' He decided that it was a nice little place to have a meal and waited as they ladies sat down before sitting himself, and as he sat he removed his fedora and set it in his lap so it would not take up space on the table. He smiles and says thank you to the woman when she brought them their drinks and following asked for a glass of sweet tea. When the woman had left he turned to face Kasumi and in regards to her question he answered.
"My power is that situationally my body can enhance certain attributes. Such as when running I can run faster, which is how I crossed the traffic earlier and only had to deal with one car." He shakes his head and is slightly embarrassed as he thought about his slide and roll off of that car. "Also it could enhance muscles for things such as jumping to some degree, lifting and there by things such as punching. As well as night vision and dexterity."
He then picked up the menu and gave it a look over, he preferred to eat at restaurants in Texas, the menus had so many more steak choices. As well as bigger ones to boot. He decided he would wait and order after seeing what everyone else got. Following that he set down the menu and looked at Mettaliar awaiting to hear about his power.

Kasumi smiles as she nods she looks around getting a mint sweet tea soon she looks over getting what she wants. Kasumi takes a long dink of her tea as she closes her eyes ah very good as always Kasumi looks at everyone soon she smiles as she sits her menu down. Kasumi looks at Ranger "Wow that is killer.. well it seems that your powers fits you also." Soon she nods as she looks at Mettaliar he seems so shy.
Soon Kasumis hand comes over and pats Mettaliar's hand softly "Are you alright you seem so far away." Her gentle eyes are looking at him It seems that she can scene things like that yet people think she can read minds form time to time. That is not true she can see what people are feeling. Soon Kasumis hand moves back as she pushes some of her hair behind her ear.
Everyone looks so normal but herself. Kasumi wished that she did not get the spots that she could look more like everyone that is around her. Soon she shakes her head as she lets out a sigh she is stuck with her spots. Yet there is noone around them and that is good she did not feel like getting odd looks today she seems to get them a lot. Yet it is nice to be with others like herself.
Mettaliar was suddenly caught off guard by his hand being paated by someone else. Upon looking up from the menu, he was surprised to see that the red-haired green-eyed Kasumi had patted his hand. Upon hearing her kind words of concearn, he seemed so much... closer. He felt cared for, as little as the sign may have shown. He nodded to the girl and realized that it was apparently his turn to share his powers. As much as he loved to let his action speak louder than his words could ever sound, he felt that a public place around people he had just met while also surrounded by random non-mutants just coming after a scare which led him to this moment was not the best to try to make a block of wood or a knife. Instead, he tried to make a verbal explenation that made as much sense as possible. Even Mettaliar didn't really know how to describe his power, he just knew how to use it.
"Umm... basically it's a manipulation of matter. On a very limited scale. To put it simply, I can take the molecules out of the air and remake it to form a sort of metallic or wooden structure. That's also limited though. Well, at least for metallic items. As far as I know, I can make a large quantity of wood. That's only as much as I know, though. I haven't really had the time to test my limits. I'm sorry if this is confusing or anything, I would usually just make something and say 'That.' Yet, now's not the right place to just make something and drop it on the table." He fineshed up that statement with a chuckle. He tried to keep the mood high as much as possible, not letting his shyness down the mood in any way. He smiled and stared at the others with his greenish-hazel eyes and nodded his head.
"Strange powers we're getting these days. The original mutations were minor and slightly noticable. But looking at this table, I see a very interesting batch of mutations of varying degrees. I once thought I was the one with the most out there power. Living in the mansion has proved me wrong though." He smiled and chuckled to himself, ordering a coffee with extra creme and sugar. He nodded his head and waited for someone else to speak up, eyeing Shana who seemed to be doing the same to him.

"That sounds intresting Ranger, versatile as well" she said thinking of the uses such an ability could afford him. Their seemed to be no end os uses for a such an ability. It did explain why he seemed to be moving so fast when he crossed the street earlior. She had not met many mutants before but knew their powers were useually diffrent from one anothers, why this was was a question Shana felt no one could really answer.
Hearting Mettaliers powers intrested her as well, he could make things from what seemed like nothing, or at least that's what she gatherd from it. It made snese not to openly display their powers if in any way possible. Doing so wopuld likely produce anothe rincadent like in the coffee shop and Shana really did not wnat that, though part of her wonderd what would happon if he did. He then mentioned mutations were changeing and seemed to sugegst growing more powerful or potent. "I had no idea they were changeing, but then i have not really looked into it" she said intrested by this idea. If their powers were still changeing then maybe the next generations would be even stronger. "So does that mean the next generation of mutations will be even more noticeable or powerful" she asked hearing about the mansion again. Seeing as Sumi and Mettleir already lived thare, she figured their were many powers out thare people could and did have and used.
Her main source on others mutations had been the breif milltary training she had, they had been informed about them mostly becuse her superiors had been worried about what some of them could do as well as Hamas useing them to smuggle in bombs or worse. "The varying degree of Mutations is a bit scary, though most people are reasonable, theirs also a lot of dangerous people out thare who might try and cause real damage to to others" she said thinking to herself. It was easy to see why many were scared of Mutants all together, people were often scared of power.
"It is pretty versatile, it saved my life in a few tight spots."
He said in response to Shana's comment, knowing that if he hadn't had his power there is no way he would be alive today due to several instances back in his military career. He listened to Mettaliar describe his power, it sounds as if he to a small degree can manipulate atomic bonds. He hoped he could sometime see a demonstration of this power, but he knew that as Mettaliar said now is not the right place.
Then as Mettaliar continued on and opened a discussion regarding powers he was interested, he had never thought much about how powers were becoming more powerful, it made sense but he had just never thought about it. Then Shana chimed in talking about how some people are dangerous with their powers. "Back when I was in the military they generally frowned upon mutants because they didn't want someone with a truely deadly power having some kind of 'Vietnam flashback', but the USSOCOM liked having us to do operations that were otherwise suicide missions."
Following that statement he sort of drifted off a bit, remembering stories he had heard from some of his friends that were not in special forces. Stories about how being a mutant might find you a discharge and if not than they would find the littlest thing to court marshal you for.

Kasumi soon hears what Mettaliar is saying as she smiles "So it is some what like Alcmena then. That is what it is called I mean it is just in fantasy and what not but that is what it does also. So I have a very good idea in what it does. I will love to see it some day also." She smiles more as she nods her head soon she looks at Shana "I think it is in part humans are attacking more making us get stronger. I mean it is not right but that is the way that life is it is very sad." She lets out a sigh and shakes her head.
Soon Kasumis eyes looks to Ranger "My poisons saved my life before a man attacked when I was 14 just because of my spots.. he knew that I was a mutant he was going to stab me. My father was going to fight him back but in my fear I turned around to run and got the prion on him it knocked the man out. Did not kill him but I did get away if not for that I would not be here."
Soon she nods "Well I am sure that mutants get stronger but even so. They should not attack and try to hurt people.. I mean that is not right." She takes a drink of her tea "But we will always do good and that means good things will happen to us." Kasumi nods as she smiles to all of them she leans back in her chair as she looks at everyone "We all see that fighting will not make everything better you can not make people stop hateing with more hate. We can stop the hate."

Mettaliar listened to everyone comment or seem to acknowledge his power. Mettaliar kept his hands in front of his face and nodded his head. The others, especially Kasumi, seemed to be interested at least at his power. He wasn't THAT surprised, yet it seemed weird that people seemed interested in his power. He found it as a compliment though. At least he hoped it was a compliment. No matter. He didn't let his mind dwell on it more. It wasn't something he'd get worked up about anyhow. He sighed to himself and came back to the conversation. It had seemed as though people had gotten vocal about his point. His idea of bringing up aa conversation had worked.
The conversation grew beyond whether or not power had become more and more powerful overtime. It had become more about if powers were getting more powerful, what the mutants who got these powers should do with them. Kasumi made her point clear, as well as Shana. Ranger had gone on about his days in the military. The fact that he was in the military had interested Mettaliar. He figured how mutants were treated in the milutary. He guessed his thought would be similar to what Ranger told as fact. Shame on the government for descrimiating against those they feared. The only good government was one that feared it's people. The registration camps were a prime example of the government at work when it was able to take down what it feared. It sickened Mettaliar.
He figured he should comment on what Kasumi had said. "That's true, Kasumi. Mutants now-a-days need to stop falling for the false promises of radicals. Those groups that use action to speak their pleas are the reason people are scared of us. They are the reason people are nervous about us. It's the reason people are willing to let things like the registration act go. It was crazy how that lasted for as long as it did." Mettaliar shrugged and put his hands down on the table. Shaking is head, he finished speaking with, "Guess it shows the power of fear. If only FDR's statement rang true. Than crap like that wouldn't happen."
Mettaliar also eyed Kasumi about the story she told and how similar it was to his. There were, of course a few differences. The first of two big ones was the attacker. Kasumi had the help of her father at his side. His story had his father playing a different role. The second big one was the outcome. Mettaliar instinctivly put his hand up and pet his hair over his right eye. Almost second nature whenever he decided to think about that night.

"Yea, back home they did not like mutants in the military much, saw a few discharged for it" she said recalling her own time in the millatary. It had not been very long, and she was still unsure how she had gotten through it without her powers exposing her some how. "back home they were more afraid of powerful mutants betraying us" she said which was true, they were worried a mutant knowinf secrets might turn on them then lead the nations downfall.
Kasumi may have been right, humans attacked mutants out of fear and Mutants responded by using their powers out of fear, then practiced their powers more out of the further fear it would generate. It really was a terrable cycle that had no end until one side simply refused to escalate the violence or better yet some one realized it would get them nowhere. . "That is true, Mutants i amm sure feel desperate, and radical leaders prosper in such environments" She went on recalling back home, on the news constently.
Every one seemed to have some scars that came with being Mutant, she lacked such a story for the most part, their had been the time she stabbed the home invader, but she hardly put that on the same level. He had been a simple robber really, but like in the other storys he lived. She had not been thrilled about that at the tme, but she had attributed that to the rush of the moment. She took a drink of her drink and looked around the table, for all their differences they really were alike. She was starting to like this city all ready, their were some nice people in it after all
"Well Shana, as I understand, most western nations are apprehensive to say the least about mutants in their armed forces." He said in response to Shana's comment regarding the discharge of mutants in Israel. And then when Kasumi addressed him he looked at her and listened to her tale. He found it sickening how someone could try to kill a fourteen-year-old girl, regardless if they were mutant or not.
"It is regrettable that people feel the way they do towards mutants, and sickening that some actually will attempt to kill a fourteen-year-old girl merely because she is one. It is good that you were able to stop him without him dying, but more than that that you were able to come out of that experience alive."
He thinks a moment about it, he knew that if someone were to try to kill him because he was a mutant they may not be alive in the end. While he thinks about this his right hand unconsciously raises to just below his right pectoral, his fingers spaced like a cowboy about to engage in a duel. Where , if not for his suit's jacket, he would have a straight shot to his pistol's grip. Having realized he had done this he slowly closed it into a loose fist and lowered his hand to the table.
Then he noticed Mett's reaction. Following his comment he pet the hair over his eye, it seemed like a coping mechanism for something, although for what he could not tell. Following this observation he responded to his comment.
"I agree with you Mett, the extremist groups do naught for helping the mutant cause with there actions. And with regards to the registration act I feel that yes people were not opposed to it because of their fear the same as how many were not opposed to the Japanese internment camps for the same reason. As I see it both mutants and humans are to blame for the hostilities, it is an escalating cycle of mutant aggression followed by human retaliation that provokes more aggression."

Kasumi nods to everyone "Well we should not talk about sad things.. I mean this is a great day we are getting good food we are all with good people." Kasumi smiles as she looks at Mett as she nods softly "I mean we are here now and we are making the best of our powers to make the world a better place and that is good." Kasumi smiles more. Soon a woman walks up as she smiles to all of them she looks at Kasumi and speaks "I love your spots hun they are so cute!" Soon Kasumi finds herself blushing some the woman smiles as she speeks in a happy voice "What can I get all of you?"
Kasumi "I will have the stake med rear and the baked potato with the salad with ranch." The woman smiles and nods as she looks to Shana "You know you are the first girl in my life that I seen can pull of blue hair like you.. do not do anything to your look. What are you getting hun?" She smiles as she nods. The woman taking the orders over hurd them speeking. She is a human that is pro Mutant and will make sure that the 4 will have a very good time here.
If they were the ones that wanted to use there powers to hurt people. Well the woman would have another out look but the 4 here want to make the world a better place. In her book that makes them very good people and she will make sure that they have the best here! Even if she has to stay late for this group she will see that no one will harm the good people here. They are making a stand for good and she will show them that all humans do not hate mutants.
