The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“But it is fun.” He smiled down at Hymn and the his Eyebrow quirked, “I didn’t know you could do that. Was that you the music just now? The signing?”
He paused as he opened the appropriate door for her and took the left that the man recommended. He wondered momentarily if it would be open, but if it had stuffed animals they would be smart to stay open late for the boys that got them selves in the dog house for being forgetful tonight.
The night air was crisp but a nice night for a walk.
“ If you can hear my thoughts I apologize for anything inappropriate you hear, I think my brain wants to go strait to what I don’t want you to hear whenever ever I realized that you can hear it. Remind me to keep you away from Venus.” He said as he strolled along the side walk with her.
"SO what kind of puzzles are we talking here? Jixsaw, rubix cube, tetris, majhong? I can teach you some puzzlish Card games too if you like.if you don't knw them already." keep talking and you couldn't do any harmful thinking.
He found breaking walls fun seemingly. Hymn couldn't dent a stick of butter with a sledgehammer if she wanted, mainly because she couldn't life the hammer but the point is clear. She didn't know if smashing walls was fun but it would probably if you are able too. She shrugged it off. The other thing was he didn't really know what she could do in the first place, she herself didn't know it either though. She nodded in response to his questions. The red jolly man took it well that she could spook around in his head without warnings or control. He even mentioned that she should ignore some stuff from one of his brothers called Venus. Hymn made a mental note of that name. "What is your name?" She asked. She did not know seeing as there where allot of red man walking around.
They walked through the streets on their way to the shop. The jolly red man wondered what kind of puzzled she liked. She thought about it. She had done allot of puzzles in her life, mostly sudoku's and card puzzles. She never heard of tetris though. "I like all puzzles." She said with a nod. She was happy that she would get some new ones.
“Well then we shouldn’t have too much trouble finding something for you that you will like then.”
The made decent time to the store and as Jupiter had predicted, they were open and peddling all sorts of last minute save yourself valentine’s day junk. They however were interested in puzzles.
“excuse me young man.” Jupiter called toward the counter where someone had just said ‘welcome to Bixby’s” “could you point us to the puzzles?” He already had it in his head to get her a dsi and any puzzle game they had to offer. But ion case she didn’t care for the video game, he wanted to get her something more tangible. They went in the direction the bored looking man motioned and were soon surrounded by all sorts of puzzley goodness.
They entered bixby's shop that was seemingly still open. She always thought shops weren't open around this time... strange. Ow well nothing to break your mind about, the shop was open and puzzly goodness awaited her. A young man pointed them in the direction of the puzzles area. Cailyn swung her arms in the air out of excitement and skittered towards the puzzle area.
This area would have been considered a small piece of heaven for any puzzle fanatic like herself. Rubix cubes, normal puzzles, 3d puzzles, sudoko's, everything was here and for sale. She skittered around picking up all kinds of items and looking at them with amazement in her face. A unsolved rubix cube layed there as demonstration. She picked it up and started solving it with the tip of her tongue sticking out of her mouth. in a matter of minutes she was finished and ready to examine more of the stuff that was around her.
Jupiter’s jaw dropped as he watched her attack the rubix cube and not only make progress but solve the mangled thing. He expected one or maybe even two sides but she was some kind of genius! Mars had to take quite a bit of time and effort to learn the patterns and rhythms it took to sol a rubix cube. She did it with ease. He went behind her and started grabbing any box she picked up and then set down to move on. He intended on buying them all, she had after all quite a few birthdays to catch up on.
He waved the young man over to start transporting the bounty of puzzle goodness to the cash register. He spoke softly to the young woman who seemed thrilled by every new box she picked up.” Jut point the cashier to whatever you’d like to take home. So he can start rining it up. I am going to go shop for a surprise for you.” He bought only one thing for him self the finished rubix cube. Jupiter rarely spent money, well other then on drinks. So, he didn’t feel bad even slightly about the slight spree he was taking the young Hymn on. He moved to the video game section and began gathering up a dsi and any puzzle game he could find for the thing. He made sure that the games didn’t require reading or if they did it wouldn’t be too hard.
He then also went to another section and grabbed a hooked on phonics bundle promised to help his child learn to read. Hymn needed a bit of education and if Jupiter was going to be the one to help her learn, well he was going to need an aid.
He then grabbed a cell and called a cab service and requested a van with a on roof cargo area, just in case. He asked for the ds and games to be wrapped and then the phoncs book as well. He then returned to Hymn. “How are we doing over here, birthday girl?”
While she was moving around the store, looking at all kinds of puzzles and other puzzly thingies, she didn't notice that Jupiter went to another section of store looking at the things there. She was to busy with looking around to even notice the young man following her and loading stuff in his cart. Nor did it matter, it was all allot of fun to look at.
After a while she came across a cube made of see-through plastic. It had buttons on the surface of it and it was connected to a button on the opposite side with a piece of black thread. The buttons could be moved across the trail that was put into it and the objective was to completly unwind the thread in the middle of the cube. It was like the holy grail for her. She never seen something like it but she knew what to do with it. She slowly picked it up and looked at it from different sides. She sat down on the ground and started tinkering with it, trying to unwind the thread completly and not paying attention to anything else. Not jupiter, not the man who loaded in all the stuff, not anything just the puzzle at hand.
Jupiter smiled and waited a bit by Hymn and then had the young man ring up all of the puzzles. after that he had the man ring up the one that Hymn was playing with and then they called a van Taxi to take them where ever Hymn would like to go. He thought she was still staying at the sanctuary but the fact was that mutants liked to move around a bit more, Nomadic.
They had the puzzles loaded into the van and Hymn was still not paying any attention to him. So he tried something a little bit different, Hey Hymn, Are we gonna get all these home? He bent and got ready to simply lift her and put her in the van if necessary. He waved a hand in front of her face and wiggled his fingers.
He scooped up Hymn lifting her with out pause. He carried her much like he carried everything else to the van He set her on the middle benh and the further side. Buckling around her, maybe the lack of light when the doors shut would get her attention. When she said she liked puzzles, she meant it., but she was amazing at them as well, so he couldn’t blame her, it was kind of like being able to watch a master artist at work. He actually felt bad about interrupting her, except that other wise they were getting shut in the store as the shop boy said he had a date, which he doubted.
“Hey Hymn, you are still at the sanctuary, aren’t you?”
While she was unaware of what happened around her, Jupiter somehow not under the impression she was. He ordered a van to load in the presents and he wanted her attention. She however didn't notice him since she was to into the puzzle. She moved the buttons in a attempt to unwind the strings that where attached to it. It was a very nifty and intense puzzle even for her. Jupiter waved a hand in front of her nose and she simply moved it away. No interferance when she was puzzling. Jupiter however had other plans and he picked her up. She continued puzzling even if she was picked up by the big red man.
She was put into the car that was full of birthday presents and she was strapped in the seat. The tip of her tongue again moved a bit out of her mouth as she was putting the finishing touches on the puzzle. With the slide of the last few buttons she did it, the strings where lose. She smiled and put it gently on the dashboard. “Hey Hymn, you are still at the sanctuary, aren’t you?”
She turned around with her head a bit confused. She hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings and looked around. She then turned to Jupiter and nodded. She guessed she was heading home then.
Jupiter grinned and told the Cabbie to take them to their Lair….ok so he just gave him the address but he might as well have asked the guy to deliver them to a volcano for the look he got, the look he always got, it seemed cabbies new the underground of new York more then most, because they seemed to know that the sanctuary equaled trouble. They took the path carefully as the man didn’t want to mess up the goods that would apparently be amusing a lot of puzzle loving people.
They soon departed towards the sanctuary. It was the best birthday a mentally distrurbed girl with a affinity for puzzles could ever have. The entire puzzle section looked like it was hit by a typhoon. This typhoon happened to place the puzzles in the cab though.
Cailyn herself didn't know the way but the cabbie sure did. Seemingly everyone knew the way exept for her, maybe something should be done about that. Ow well it didn't matter at the moment. She had her newly solved puzzle to twiddle with. As the cab went through the streets of new york the puzzle wouldn't stand still on the dashboard. She kept catching it as it almost fell and placing it back on the dashboard.
As they arrived at the sanctuary, the puzzles had to be unloaded. Cailyn hoped out the cab all happy and excited and wanted to help loud out all the stuff. Where she was going to put all the stuff but they would wonder about that later. Now it was unloading time and she couldn't wait to toy around with the puzzles and decorate her room with solved puzzles.
nned as she actually looked like a birthday girl. All excited and happy, the way a birthday girl should look.
“You are fascinating with puzzles by the way. It is almost a matter of time before they are simply done.”
He grabbed bag after bag of puzzles and was pleased to see that she hadn’t protested, even when she had looked around and saw the piles of bags. He carried the burden toward the sanctuary. “So, what room are you in?” ah subtle. He was quite the linguist, all nice and to the point. He wanted show her how to get set up on the DSI and make sure she knew what was going on with the games. Not that if he said it was a puzzle she couldn’t have figured the thing out.
“You are fascinating with puzzles by the way. It is almost a matter of time before they are simply done.”
She nodded. It was true, no puzzle will be left unsolved by the end of the month atleast. She was probably going to lock herself up for the coming month to solve them all, and to decorate her room with the solved puzzles. Jupiter started lifting stuff towards the sanctuary. Cailyn wasn't very strong but she slowly picked up a medium sized bag, which was heavy for her and she walked at the speed of a snail towards the sanctuary. She was atleast helping out.
“So, what room are you in?”
Her room, she knew the number but she mostly just wandered around till she found it. Not that there was anything in the room except a bed and everything that was required to sleep in it. "Number 36" She said while nodding. Now hopefully Jupiter knew the way better then she did.
Jupiter carried the bags that looked bulky and like they might have trouble getting in the elevator down a floor he managed to hook his fingers through all of the bags and would have been able to get a last package but Hymn, picked it up. He listened and followed and then smiled as she told him where the room was, they were going in the opposite direction so he would take them back around and make it not quite so obvious that theywent astray.
"Oh, take the next left and left again." how she could solve puzzles but not know her way around a building he didn't know. The pair made their way down the halls." another left and a right. should be pretty close."
"Mmmmmm, there we are number thirty six."
He waited for the young woman to open the door. he was in no hurry it would take another thousand loads of this caliber to start to make him tired.
Jupiter knew the way. He lead her to all kinds of corridors and walked a bit uncomfortably behind him with a heavy bag in her hand. She herself had no clue how to find her room but jupiter sure did. They took a left and a right every once in a while and eventually found there way to number thirty six. "Mmmmmm, there we are number thirty six."
Number thirty six, her room. There they where and Jupiter was waiting for it to be opened. She put down her bag carefully and walked to the door. She knocked three times and then just opened the door seeing as it wasn't even locked. The door opened and it revealed a fairly empty room. She picked up her bag and dragged it into the room and placed it next to the bad. She then waited for jupiter to enter.
Jupiter lifted the bags and filled most of the room. " Would you like some help with these, birthday girl? organizing them any way, I am terrible at puzzles. also I'd like to show you how to work your game boy. I hope black was ok?"
He held up a box that had a black DSI in it. and the rest of the bag held most of the puzzle games the system had to offer. He smiled at her, the room was pretty plain, but he know pictured the walls covered in puzzles and more hanging from the ceiling. it would be neat. He would however be checking on her to make sure she remembered to eat and what not.
