The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Billy found his way down the street to the address of this mansion (the sister school one) and walked up the drive to the BIG black steel gates. He looked around at the pillar thingies and managed to locate a buzzer thingy. *BUZZZ* He waited for anyone to answer him.
Tricity picked up her radio as it buzzed, Johnathon summoning her attention. "Yea, what's up?"
"There's another person outside. Looks like we have another roomie," Johnathon answered back. "We're gonna be pretty full soon, Miss Tipper."
"We'll never be too full," she answered, pulling the doors open to cross the front lawn. "If anything, people will just have to start bunking. I'll talk to you later, nosey." She came to the front gate and saw the young man standing on the other sides of the gate. "Hi, can I help you?"
"Er, yes. Is this the Xavior's second institute for young mutants? I'm looking to live and learn here." said Billy, offering one of his hands through the gate bars for shaking. "My name is Billy Darnell" Billy was wearing a big trench coat, and had two of his arms hidden underneath, by his sides, holding two of his suitcases. His other two arms were in the sleeves. He'd put one suitcase down to shake the lovely pregnant woman's hand.
Tricity took his hand and shook it in return, noticing the suitcases under his coat. 'What the...? How's he doing that? Must be a limbo...' "Hello. My name is Tricity, it's nice to meet you. Please come in."
She opened the gates to let him inside. "So Billy. I have to ask you a few personal questions, but it's important for everyone's safetly, including your own. I need you to describe your mutations and whether they will hurt anyone else or yourself."
"Lovely to meet you Tricity" said Billy. He bent down to pick up the fourth suitcase he'd put down, then walked through the open gates.
He waited for her to close it behind him while he answered her question. "My mutations? Well, I have inhuman strength and metabolism, and, well, I'll show you" Billy lifted his two lower arms out of hiding for her to see. "I'm not very dangerous, except perhaps at the dinner table," he laughed brightly "I eat a lot you see. Anything more you'd like to know about me or my mutations?"
(OOC: "limbo" the name of a mutant who has more than the 'normal' number of limbs)
Tricity gave a slight giggle at his joke and motioned him to follow her inside. "No, nothing else. I'm sure the children will love having dinner with you. Don't mind their stares. I've taught them better, but kids will be kids and say exactly what's on their minds. Are there any questions you would like to ask me?"
Billy followed her inside he closed the door behind him and followed her. "Well yes. What are your mutations, and if you don't mind me asking, when is the bundle of joy due?" replied Billy cheerfully.
Tricity turned to him with a smile, holding her stomach, and continuing to walk through the large front hall. "Well I can control electricity. Aaand the bundle of joy will be due any day now, actually." They reached the staircase and she pointed up as she explained the housing. "Upstairs are the dorms. The guys are on the left, ladies on the right. In the middle is the infirmary where my room is and where the older adults are staying. Do you have any questions or anything?"
Billy thought about her answers for a moment, nodding and considering the possibilities opened by the power to influence the flow of electrons, then said smiling "Just one more question before I get settled in. Where's the gym??"
"It's downstairs on the first floor. Well...we call in the Danger Room," she began to explain. "You can use the room to practice sparring and using your mutations and such. Though, start on level 1 before getting to the higher levels. I can't tell you how many times people try to get all tough on the simulations in there on their first tries and get hurt."
"The Danger Room huh, I see. I remember my parents mentioning it to each other when they used to talk of the old times at the institute. Thanks, I guess I'll see you around." He turned to go then stopped and called out "Wait, are there any forms you need me to fill out?"
"OH! Right..." Tricity shuffled down the hallway and back toward the front hallway where she picked up the manila folder of papers. "I'm sorry about that. Just fill these out and hand them back to me whenever you can. There's a small map in there in case you get lost. It can be a bit confusing at first."
Billy walked up to meet her on her way back to him and took the folder from her. "Thanks." He turned and walked to the stairs. After bidding her a good day he climbed the staircase to the second floor, and out of sight.
