The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

" Wow, that is a big mansion. " The young woman said as she stood at the front gates, the taxi she had taken to get her already becoming a speck in the distance. Behind her stood a mini mountain of suitcases and boxes, half of which contained her belongings, the other half contained a great deal of new books. She blinked a few times, and turned to face her belongings. " I suppose I should not have brought so many things. " she said, frowning. She set the brand new book she had been reading ontop of one of the boxes, and set down the suitcase that she had been carrying in her left hand. " I guess I'll have to use my powers to get it all inside. " She thought to herself, not seeing anyone around to help out, and not expecting anyone to help her. She was expecting, however, that this school would be like all the others, with mean spirited people that would pick on her, and abuse her mentally and physically. Some of the bad memories of her first school began to resurface, as she opened her suitcase for a moment, put quickly closed it, fearful of the reaction her powers would invoke.
Raphael finished his rounds of the mansion. He had told each of the adults overseeing smaller children and every other teenage mutant he had found about the abductions. And now he found himself back in the main hallwaywhere they had originally been listening to Tatoo's information. He gave a sigh, then headed out the front door. Now was as good a time to warn anyone outside on the mansion grounds.
His gaze swept the almost deserted front lawn, then settled on the young woman on the opposite side of the gate. He did not recognize her, but for some reason did not think she was threatening. Nevertheless he would need to ascertain who she was, and if she was non-threatening as he initially assumed, invite her into the safety of the mansion. He figured that even if she were one of these kidnapping thugs Tatoo had mentioned, he would be able to withstand what ever sedatives they packed. His initial trip to the doctor after finding out about his bone blades revealed that.
He closed the front door behind him and started across the lawn, footfalls light and quick as he moved at a jog. He took a moment, before getting to the gate, and the young woman, to activate his life-aura and glance around. It was getting easier to move and use it at the same time, and he smiled to himself as he did not see any concealed life-auras this side of the gate or the other. He closed his eyes and shook the green glow out of them as he approached. Stopping just the other side of the gate, and likely to startled the woman, as her back was now turned as she ruffled through a suitcase.
"'Cuse me Miss." He spoke, loud enough to be heard clearly, but hopefully not loud enough to cause her to jump out of her skin. "Can I help you?"

"Ok, Johnathon. I'll be out there in a minute." Tricity put the radio back on her hip and slowly made her way down the stairs. Her feet were killing her...As she crossed the grass, Tricity noticed that Raphael was already greeting the young woman.
"Hey Raphael." She noticed the guest's extensive amount of luggage and figured she must be here to live. "Hi, hun. My name is Tricity or Miss Tipper if you like. This is Raphael. What can we do for you?"
The young woman quickly spun on the heels of her her boots, turning to face the young man that had surprised her, unknowingly catching the laces of her left boot under her right foot. She noticed a very pregnant woman approaching as well, causing her to become uneasy, with the increasing number of people nearing her. She started to inch her left leg back, but it did not go too far. She ended up losing her balance, and falling backwards, crashing into the mini mountain of her belongings, ending up somewhat buried under them. From under the boxes and suitcases, a soft, whimpering sound was just barely able to be heard, as Tanya was softly crying under the rubble of her possessions.
He nodded to Tricity as she said his name. "Evening Miss Tricity." though that was not what went through his head. He looked back to the young woman on the other side of the gate just intime to watch her tumble backwards into the mountain of suitcases. He gave a soft sigh, and immediately settled in his mind that she was definately not one of the people Tattoo had mentioned.
He then pulled the gate opened and proceeded, as gently as one can when digging through luggage, to pull cases off of the young woman. "Hey in there, you okay? You're not hurt are you? Hate to start your stay here with a trip to the infirmary."
" I'm fine. " The young woman said, having recieved much worse than falling into some boxes in her past. She tried to get back to her feet, but was having a hard time getting her footing to support herself. Not being one to ask for help, she choose not to, and managed to get her footing once again, lifting herself out of the rubble. She caught her first good luck at the man, and stood silently.

He nodded, watching her get up. So she could talk, not just squeak and fall over. "Lemme help you with those." He started picking up pieces of her luggage, slight oblivious to possibly the distress such an action might cause her. "Welcome to the Mansion." He cast a glance over to Tricity, then back to the young woman. "What's your name?" He asked as he realized she had not introduced herself.
" ........ I'm Tanya. " She said so softly that it would be hard to hear her voice. Not being one that was used to people being kind to her, she took a step away from Raphael. She seemed to hesitate for a moment, unsure of if she should speak anymore, scared of physical harm that might happen to her. " You....... you arn't.........going to hit me...... for making all that noise..... are you? "
Raphael gathered as many suitcases into his arms as he could manage to carry at once as she spoke. The proceeded to look at her as though she had just sprouted horns and a halo. "Hit you? Fer makin' noise?" He blinked a couple times, then realized she must have lead a pretty rough life till now if people beat up on her just for making noise. "No. I don't hit people for making noise. Usually they have to be shooting at me, or throwing punches... or some other good reason for me to begin throwing violence back their way. And noise[/b] is not a good reason. Mind if we grab the rest in a second trip?" He asked, nodding at the luggage he couldn't carry, then stepped through the gate and headed for the mansion. "Miss Tricity... it's not too terribly safe out here, we should head back inside." He stated, as though she might have forgotten about Tattoo's warning.[/color]
" Oh, okay. " Tanya said as she seemed to be hesitant to leave her books alone. She was not sure if she could trust Raphael's words. She took hold of her suitcase that she was carrying, which was actually rather heavy, and followed Rapheal, stopping next to Trinity. " Thanks......... for letting me stay.......... " she said, not making eye contact.

"What brings you here?" He asked, trying to make conversation with this shy young woman as they walked towards the front door. "Mind getting that for me? We'll be headin' upstairs... plenty of rooms open for you to pick from... though if they're like the guy's dorms.... not much difference to 'em till you customize 'em." He nodded some. "Oh, Miss Tricity'll have some questions for you... and some paperwork to do, so... may wanna stop by her on our second trip."

Tricity was breaking up a fight two of the younger girls on the lawn were having over a doll before pulling the rest of the bags into the grounds and closing the gate once more. 'She sure has a lot of stuff' Tricity wondered what this girl must have gone through to think she would get punished for falling into her luggage. She saw the two were coming back across the lawn and decided they had better lift the rest of the luggage due to her delicate condition.
"So Tanya, can you explain to me the basics of your mutation? I need to make sure your mutation isn't dangerous to yourself or others."
" My..... my mutation? " Tanya said, feeling a bit more at ease aroung Tricity than she did around Raphael, perhaps this is why she seemed to edge towards Tricity. " I can manipulate paper. " Tanya said, pausing for a monet. " To a lesser extent, I can also manipulate some forms of nature, life trees and leaves. " She turned to look infront of her, not facing Raphael. " I'm here because my parents thought it would be safer than for me to stay home. " she responded to his question, but seemed to lack much emotion in her voice. " They...... are afraid of me. " she said to herself outloud in a moment of realization, causing tears to being to stream down her cheeks.

Tricity listened to the nervous girl and then felt terrible as she began crying. She placed one hand on Tanya's shoulder and the other on the girl's face. "Hey, don't cry. It's alright. No one will be afraid of you here, okay? Trust me, we have a lot more dangerous mutations here too and other residents of the mansion are perfectly comfortable around them. So please, no more tears."
Tricity laced her arm with the girl's before turning around toward Raphael and nodding for him to follow along inside. "Let's go inside, okay? How about a cup of coffee or tea? Are you hungry?" She asked as they made their way inside.

Raphael offered a smile towards Tricity and moved to pick up the rest of the luggage, then looked at the girl who had broken out into tears at the mere mention of her mutation. He chose to let Tricity handle this.
"Miss Tricity, I'll take this up to her room... then I'll be in the danger room exercising.... if you need me." He stated and lugged the luggage inside and upstairs.
