The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Gabe walked down the hallway, looking for the same door he'd entered on his first day here. He passed a couple of doors, before coming to the same one he'd entered the day after he'd told Lee he needed a place to stay. Gabe faced the door, squared his shoulders, and knocked.

Raina looked up. She was in this office to get some files on Mir when a young man entered. He was tall with blonde hair pulled back. She vaguely recognized him but couldn't remember if she'd been the one to welcome him. He did seem familiar but her mind had been so distracted with the new decisions she was faced with since returning from the North- she knew she wasn't paying enough attention to this job. "Hey there." she said standing up holding the few files in her arms. "I'm Raina, one of the teachers and Guidance here. You look familiar... have we met?" she asked. "and is there something I can do for you?"

As Gabe entered the room, he was startled to see a woman at the desk. When he'd signed all his forms and stuff, a man named Sam had taken care of everything. He couldn't recall ever meeting this woman either. She was, though, quite stunning.
"Um, hi. I don't think we've ever met. I'm Gabe Fenix. And yeah, maybe you can help me with something."
Gabe stood there for a moment, contemplating on how to put his question.
"Well, I'd actually like help in developing my powers."
He went into a brief explanation, future sight and the 'make you think your in pain but you really aren't' thing, and looked at her.
"I figured since this was a school and all, there had to be some kind of way to train and develop these kinds of things."

Raina nodded. "Gabe, I read your file." she said explaining that was why he seemed familiar. "you must have met Sam I think... he's probably the one who signed you in. A few of us handle that job." she added. He explained he wanted help with his powers. That caught Raina a little off guard but it was certainly a breath of fresh air. She was so used to dealing with angry mutants who wanted her to fix their life. "Power growth eh?" she said taking a seat in the office chair and motioning for him to sit in the adjacent one.
"Well, there are totally some steps and things we can take... so long as you know there's no guarantee I can change anything for you. Mutation is a funny thing. Most times with lots of hard work you can hone it, refine it." she said reflecting. "it can take considerably more to grow it. Sometimes it takes a stressful situation for a mutation to expand an ability or create a new one." she thought of her own experience in the camps. If it hadn't been for that stressful situation she may not have even had her secondary power.
"So, like I said. We've got some options. I just need you to understand that mutation is subjective. Your power makes up the rules. Not me or you. But we can try a few danger room sessions if you're interested. I can see about getting you carried on for missions as well. It would all be a start. What do you think of that?"

Gabe sat down as Raina explained about evolving and honing his powers. He hadn't thought it was possible for another power to emerge, on top of being a pre-cog, and "hurting" people. That was definitely food for thought.
"You mean if I were to train in this 'danger' room," Gabe added the air quotes, "my powers might become refined, and even another one could come forth? And what is a 'danger room'?"
Then she talked about sending him on missions to help, as well.
"And what exactly do you mean by missions? I'm a little confused."

"The danger room isn't as bad as it sounds." she laughed. "It's a training room meant for various activities. It creates simulations of real life events and sometimes not so real life. It's a great way to practice your ability without actually hurting anyone and really push yourself to the limit. It's also a great way to train with others who may be able to help you test your power, or to simply learn team work. It can also be used to train about missions..." she was a bit curious that Gabe seemed to have no knowledge of missions, granted only a select few went on actual missions it was still rumored about in the school.
"The x-men are some of the founding members of this school, we have our own team here dedicated to keeping peace between mutants and humans. We often go on missions. Sometimes we take trainees. If you were to train a while and show an interest in missions that's when you'd become a trainee. The mission could be something simple, we need to retrieve this, we need to go someplace and take that. Sometimes it can be more- we need to stop a robbery, we need to save a fellow mutant." she paused to see if he was following.

Gabe nodded to show her he was following her pretty well. He sat there for a moment, and then turned to her.
"So, how would I practice a mutant power that affects the brain on a simulation? I'm really interested in how this Danger Room works."
He gave a nod, and then continued.
"And the whole stopping bank robbers and stuff sounds like a good way to use my powers. When would I be able to start? I'm curious as to how my abilities would work with a team..."
Gabe then gasped.
"You mean the same X-Men as in Cyclops and stuff who stop super-villains from taking over the world and all? Those X-men? Wow. I'd heard about them on the news in Chicago, but I never thought I'd be given the oppurtunity to train in the same way they were trained. I'm definitely in."

"Well, you may not be able to use your powers on the simulation but we can find you a willing partner and you can use them in the simulation. It's also important to work on things like agility and team work so that you can proceed to go on missions, but as a rule of thumb you have to go in a few sessions in the danger room before you can help on a mission and you need to be evaluated. We can't let you out there if you're going to get hurt, or not help. No offense. That's just how it is." she explained.
"for someone who's been here a little bit Gabe we gotta get you caught up on mansion history!" she joked. "Charles Xavier established this school. His x-men don't usually stop by, but we tend to hear from him through our head mistress Tricity. We established our own group of xmen here and have a regular training process to integrate new members." she gave a big grin. "you're staring at one of the x-men leaders right here." she grinned from ear to ear. "Sam is also a leader, Tricity- our head mistress is our captin, and Shawn is a leader too. Neena, Death Star, Emerald, Nika, Ali and Ghost are all x-men as well. Calley, Luke, Seraph, Ari and Shard are all trainees. To become a trainee like them you'll need at least 1 training session with one of the leaders, and 2 with any other full x-men. " She paused
"If you're interested in trying out as a trainee I'm more than willing to set things up. I think if you work on that end of things with your powers that it'll totally hone them"
