The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sophocoles Arms had always been a very ambitious teen, but when he found out about his mutation, his ambitions changed. Although he still dreamed of being a pilot, his new goal was to become an X-Man.
Pulling up to the front gates in his old, beat up car, Cole found the gates to be locked. With the risk of being severely punished by means of who-knows-what, he decided to get inside with his powers. He concentrated on the gate, which soon turned directly from a solid, to a floating gas. He then drove his car through the fog-like haze, which turned back into the solid gates as soon as he got through them, and let it go. Then he turned his engine off, and waited.
"CALM DOWN, JOHN!! Now, what are you saying?" Tricity asked as she walked through the front hallway and pulled the doors open to lead out to the grounds.
"I SAID, some care just came through the gates after they materialized!" the young man's voice repeated into the radio.
"Alright, John." Tricity clicked the radio off and saw the car sitting in the driveway at the front of the gates. She walked across the grass and prepared herself for a possible confrontation as she pulled electricity from the surrounding lights on the grounds. As she came across the car, she peered inside from about 15 feet away. "Can I help you?"

"Hi! I'm Sophocoles Arms," Cole said cheerfully to Tricity. "Sorry for the disturbance, ma'am, I couldn't help myself." He had a bright smile on, and was very excited to be there. "I was wondering if I could be a student here, or something of the sort. I could teach, or do something. I'm 19 years old, and looking to help out other kids with mutations, and possibly be helped with my own," he said, trying to explain what he thought he was doing there. Truly, he didn't know for himself why he was really there. He knew he like to help people, and would deffinately like to help younger kids get through their childhood with their powers. But he didn't know what to say to this woman.
Tricity sighed and released some of the energy in her body as well as the intent to shut the car down. She ushered him to step out of the car so they could talk.
"Hi, Soph-ocoles." She'd hoped she said it right. "My name is Miss Tipper, though most of the older mutants call me Tricity. I'm the Headmistress here. You're welcome to become a student here. Have you finished high school?"

"Well, somewhat," he replied, all the more nervous. When the subject of high school came up, Cole sometimes got uncomfortable. He had finished high school, but was banned from his graduation due to his "condition", as the principal had called it. He hadn't even recieved his diploma. He then explained this to Miss Tipper. He then quickly explained that he had been taking part in a Piloting class, and was almost at his last 5 hours of flight time before he recieved his pilot's liscense. He was now standing outside of his car, awaiting the response from this determined, powerful looking woman.
Tricity nodded at the points in his story, sorry to hear that this was another sad story for a young mutant in society. "Well, we could certainly use another pilot around here," she comforted.
"Ok, well I need to ask you a couple questions as I do with every new residents." She ushered him across the lawn and mentally started the car and led it inside the garage as they went to the front of the mansion. "First, I need to know what your mutation is exactly and if it's a danger to anyone including yourself. And, if you don't mind me asking, do you mind if I call you Soph, Coles, or maybe Arms?" She asked, smiling.

"First of all, you can call me Cole," he said, a smile on his relieved face. "And secondly, my mutation is pretty basic. I can change the state of matter. You know, from a solid to a liquid, or liquid to a gas, and so on. That's pretty much it." he was still smiling, and was completely bewildered by his complete and utter cheerfulness.
"Alright, Cole, sounds good. Well, you are more than welcome here." She pushed open the doors to lead him inside the front hallway. As she explained the layout of the mansion, she pointed in the direction of where everything was. "On the first floor is the library, kitchen, living rooms, and dining rooms. Also the danger room, but please don't jump on that too quickly. If you would like to practice using your mutation in there, use the simulation version that doesn't pose a real threat. And start at a low level. On the second floor are the dorms. You can choose your own, empty room on the guys' side upstairs. My room is on the same hallway as the older adults which is the same hallway the infirmary is on."
Tricity picked up a "new resident" envelope on a table in the hallway and handed it to him. "There ya go. There's a map in there too to help you out. Those papers are just manditory things to fill out and give back to me. Do you have any questions?"

"No, but I just wanted to thank you. You don't know how much it means to me," Cole said, truly grateful. He took the envelope, and walked in the direction Miss Tipper had pointed to, to find the Dorms. He would then just explore the building, and hopefuly make some new friends.
"GOOD LUCK! Let me know if you need something!" She called out and headed back toward the security station to ease Johnathon's curious mind and end the rumors before he started them.
