The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Demeter sat her bag down at her feet as she stared at the school. She wasnt sure if they'd let her in. She was to old to be a student and didnt know the first thing about teaching, so she had nothing to offer to them. She pulled her jacket a little closer to make sure her wings were hidden. She could only watch as someone approached her, she was to nervous to do anything more.
*Tricity approached the front gates of the mansion and saw an unfamiliar woman standing there. Johnathon had mentioned someone was there as he was at the security center, watching her on the screen.* john: "She looks pretty hot..." "All right, that's enough, John!" john: "WHAT?!" *Tricity clicked the radio off so the visitor wouldn't hear the rantings of the teenage boy, just as she reached the gates. She smiled at her and mentally opened the doors to let her inside the grounds.* "Hello. My name is Delilah or Tricity as most call me. Are you looking to stay here?"
Demeter gave her a nervous, yet greatful smile. "Yes." She said. "That is if I'm allowed. I dont really have much to offer you." She said softly. "I'm more of a drifter then anything." She didnt know what else to say.
*Tricity waved it off.* "There's no need to offer anything. Our home is for those in need of sanctuary from the not so accepting world out there." *She said, nodding out toward the gates.* "Though, I do need a bit of information before you move in. First, I need you to describe to me everything you know about your mutation and secondly, if your mutation poses a threat to anyone else or yourself." *Tricity ushered her along as they crossed the lawn and made their way to the front doors.*
She nodded and picked up her bag, placing it on her shoulder. "I have visons." She said. "I can force a vision, have them in dreams, diffrent things." She took in a small breath before going on. "I also have... another power." she said looked at Tricity slightly. "Its not something that can hurt anyone or myself." she added. "But I'm sure I want people to know." She shifted the bag again and kept walking. She didnt know if anyone would accept her wings at all. She also wasnt into finding out right now.
*Tricity nodded and stopped walking.* "Well, I don't mean to be intrusive or too personal, but to keep everyone safe, I have to ask you what the other mutation is. Believe me...no one here is going to think you a freak. It's the reason why everyone is here. We're all mutants and celebrate our difference, but come together because we what we are."
Demeter took in a deep breath and reamined silent for a moment. "I have wings." she nearly whispered. "Complete with feathers." She tried to laugh it off. She watched the ground caerfully. "I dont want everyone to know that." She said and looked up at Tricity. "Please, just keep it between who needs to know."
*Tricity nodded and looked at her with sincerity.* "Ok, I won't let anyone know." *She continued on toward the mansion with an awkward silence. Many mutants had much more difficult mutations to deal with than wings, but everyone was different and she couldn't judge.* "May I ask why you don't want anyone to know? Don't you think it will be rather hard in a mansion of mutants to keep a secret of this type of mutation?"
"I have an odd story so to say." She said softly. "Where I've been for the past 6 months humans hates mutants and nutants hated mutants." She shrugged. "It was easier to hide my mutation then show everyone and risk being killed in my sleep or worse." She shook the thought. "I'm not the kind to show off something that can get me killed, even if its the true me."
"Well, we are very accepting here. There's not a spec of hate amongst anyone in this mansion toward each other. But, whenever you're comfortable..." *They reached the front doors and Tricity pulled them open to head inside. A few younger students came rushing passed them.* "You'll have to watch yourself when in the hallways. You might get run over." *She joked, leading them inside the front hall.* "You can pick out any room you'd like on the second floor. Most of the older mutants stay on the same wing as the infirmary, but you may choose a room anywhere you'd like. Preferably on the girls' side, though." *She handed the young woman her residence papers.* "You can hand those in to me whenever you're done. Ya know, I don't believe I know you're name!"
She smiled. "I'm Demeter Caloon." She said as she looked at the papers. She nodded slightly and smiled faintly. "It shouldnt take me long to finishe these."
No, not at all. I have to head over to start a class. Feel free to pick out a room and take a look around. There's a map in those papers somewhere to help you, but there will always be someone around so ask if you get lost. Hope you like your new home! It was great meeting you, Demeter." *Tricity smiled and touched her shoulder before heading off down the hallway for class.*
