The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

~~“So why ask? Did you get caught at something and looking for a way out, or just plane in the wrong place at the wrong time?”
“Well, itssss kind of embarrassssing, but again it will be nice to have sssomeone know that I wasssn’t up to anything.” Koga waited for a moment took a deep breath and then a sigh. And then in a rush.“ I put myself in a posssition, to make it look like I wasss up to sssomething becaussse I was desssperate to get inssside.” Sigh again. And then much slower. “Maybe I ssshould ssstart at the beginning. The night I arrived at the mansssion was after a long and hectic day of me finding out I wasss a mutant, running away, getting jumped by sssome thugssss, who actually ended up helping me and dropping me off here.”
He paused to see if there were any questions to address and then continued.
“Well, after I got here, I was exhausssted and cold, but now with my new and improved reptile mimicking mutation, I find myself wanting to passss out and hibernate. I buzzed at the gate and no one replied, I talked to the guy who normally watches it at night later and he admitted to falling asssleep. I went to the door and got no anssswer ssso I ssscaled the wall and went into the firssst room with an unlocked window. It was empty and so I climbed in, got under the bed and was going to go to sleep, since it wassss warm and I wasss exhausted. Well not a minute later Katrina walksss in and ssstartsss digging around under her bed for what, I don’t know, ssshe findsss me and ssso after a bit of conversssation we are friendsss. Ssshe tellsss me I can ssstay in the room for the night and get sssorted out in the morning. SSSo that’s just what we do, ssshe tried to convince me to take the bed and I refusssed and told her that ssshe was going have to take the bed, I would ssssleep on the floor. We disagreed until finally we dropped and ssshe ssstarted studying for a tessst, I wasss going to help ssso I ssssat on the bed with her to help her, I know geography pretty well, ssso we were going over it. and we both passssed out and fell assslep. We got woke up by Calley who wasss going to kill me but Katrina convinced him not too. Sssomehow.” He took a breath as he needed to slowdown again. “Sssso any way it ssseems to have gottenaround the sssschool at least with the sstaff. And everybody ssseems to think I wasss trying to take advantage of Katrina, Which, I would never ever do.”
He exhaled one more breath in a huff and sat there waiting to see if she was going to want to smack him too.
Sara listened to the story quietly. Part of it. At the end she couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. Ok so it wasn’t actually funny but this Calley, she had only met in person once before. And this Calley hadn’t struck her a one to be able to do much harm. Plus the situation. It surprised her more than anything, to hear that name and hear the young gangly teen taking anything seriously.
“Koga. You catch me as a very smart young man.” Sara said with the smile still in her voice. She was choosing to believe Koga, for now. He hadn’t broken the patterns of sound, that Sara could pick up from him. If he was just that gifted at lying, then time would tell. “From you’re story, you know sleeping in Katrina’s bed was a bad idea. Then you were found sleeping there anyways.”
Without thinking, Sara reached out and tapped her index finger, lightly against Koga’s forehead. She couldn’t see but her other senses were starting to even things out. Without even thinking about what she had done, Sara pulled her hand back as she continued. “You’ve got a head. Use it. It’s nice to help others, especially with geography. I suck at that subject, but you should be smart enough not to put yourself in a situation you know would be bad. So next time, think a head. It’s fine that you want to help with homework. That’s a good thing, but plan a head. Next time find a chair to sit on, next to her bed. Like now.” Sara motioned to how she was seated on her bed, and he had the chair. “you fall asleep there, and people think nothing of it other than, ‘Oh what a kind young man, who fell asleep in a chair.’ Not Oh other things.”
His lips pouted slightly at the chuckle about Calley almost killing him, he supposed saying that he was a big fricking tiger wouldn’t help much.
~~“Koga. You catch me as a very smart young man.” “From you’re story, you know sleeping in Katrina’s bed was a bad idea. Then you were found sleeping there anyways.”
“Thanksss, I…yeah I know. I didn’t mean to sssleep, neither of usss did, we just passssed out.” He said weakly. She could tell he was telling the truth and yet he was still getting scolded, though at least it was for the right reason.
Koga would have leaned into the tap if she needed him to or if it was off slightly, but he didn’t have to she was doing great.
~~“You’ve got a head. Like now.”
He nodded and then confirmed that nod with a “I will.”
~~“you fall asleep there, and people think nothing of it other than, ‘Oh what a kind young man, who fell asleep in a chair.’ Not Oh other things.”
“I guessss, I didn’t think it through becaussse I knew it wasssn’t a bad situation, I mean nothing truly bad happened. sssshe and I definitely weren’t up to any Oh! Worthy thingsss, nor would we be. so I guessss it escaped me. I mean I don’t mind being ssscolded for what I did, even punissshed isss fine, but I hate that anyone thinksss that I would take advantage of Katrina, or that ssshe wouldn’t have ssslapped me and ssssent me packing, it makesss me feel bad to make a messss of her reputation.” He left that with a sigh.
Sara nodded agreeing with Koga about the situation not seeming to be bad. The thing is she still wanted him to think things through. Something she didn’t do all of the time either, however she still found it important.
“It’s called Murphy’s Law, Koga. If something can go wrong, it will.” Sara scooted back on the bed so that she could rest her back on the wall. She recrossed her legs and her tail wound around her feet.
“Take it as a lesson. Especially when you’re in a bad situation, and even when you’re not. Get in the habit of thinking a head.” Sara wasn’t the best in the thinking a head department, but she was trying to get better.
“It’s called Murphy’s Law, Koga. If something can go wrong, it will.”
Koga Streched his arms and allowed himself ot break perfect posture for a few minutes. Slouching in his chair and filling stuffed.
“hhmmm, I think Murphy wasss a pesssssimissst, Ssso maybe I will take that asss if sssomething can go unaccording to plan, it will. Wrong issss ssso definite. Ssssomething positive can come from thingsss going their own way. For inssstance, I now have a friend Named Katrina from all of those terrible eventssss.” He paused and tried not to sound too crushed. “that isss a good thing.”
“Take it as a lesson. Especially when you’re in a bad situation, and even when you’re not. Get in the habit of thinking a head.”
He nodded cordially. “I will try to make it a habit, it certainly can’t hurt I suppose.”
“Good point.” Sara let herself smile on that thought. At least he still got the idea. Plans didn’t always work out.
Sara’s eyes were starting to ache again, so she used the flat part of her palm to rub them. How could her eyes ache when she wasn’t using them, was a question beyond her, but lately, it happened. “I hope not all of your first impressions have been as embarrassing.” The smile turned into a bit of a sly smirk. “If anyone give you trouble here, just let me know.” Sara may not be an x-men but she didn’t care when it came to respect.
Sara shook her head as she started gathering the dishes from their meal. Koga got them here, She was at least going to get them back to the kitchen. “No. I’m going to use the dishes as an excuse to walk around and stretch my legs.” She should be able to follow Koga’s sent right to where the dishes belonged. Worst came to worst, she would have to ask for help, but for right now this was a challenge for herself to learn how to better get around the school. If she was going to be considered handicapped, Sara was determined to make herself handicpable. “Study well, Koga.”
