The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sunny had walked into the mansion, with luggage in hand, in a wondering type of way. he was trying to find somewhere where he could say that he had actually arrived so he guessed that considering that this was a school there must be some sort of administration office. Although Sunny saw Lutz outside the mansion, Sunny wanted to get inside so that he could say that he was officially here and enroll in classes and get a room. He was in fact very nervous about this as he normally was when he tried new things. It took all his friends several months to get him to go to a hot spring and then a few more months to get him into the hot spring. Now Sunny had to go through something new with in one whole day which of course made Sunny very nervous. meeting Lutz outside calmed him down a bit but now he was inside he got a lot more nervous. He looked around and gave a small unheard whimper. He was so nervous but he truly wanted to be here if it meant that he could be himself without any prejudice from anyone in the mansion. It would also make his parents happy if the knew that he was learning how to use his abilities. His parents supported him and wanted the best for him so they sent him to the mansion He looked around a bit more and found the Administration offices, so he decided to knock on it, although it did take several minutes for him to pluck up the courage to knock on the door.

Luke was beginning to get just a touch frustrated. He had been looking for Raina for about the past hour and still couldn't get in touch wit her. The aquarium said she had been sent home early because their attendance was low so that meant she was either shopping or here at the mansion. Since she wasn't answering her phone it was a likely deduction that she was here at the mansion since she always had her cell phone with her if she was out and about.
"Maybe I'll try the offices again." Luke muttered as he jogged up the stairs to the apropriate level and then walked down the hall toward the Administration office, "She has got to be around here somewhere!"
As Luke walked up he saw a young man knocking on the door. With a quick sweep of his sonar Luke determined that the room was still empty which meant that this particular young man was going to be standing there for a very long time if he just waited until someone opened the door.
"Hi. I'm Luke Jacobs." The brown haired man offered with a quick smile as he approached the office. Dressed casually in jeans, sneakers, and a black t-shirt, nothing looked out of place except for the sunglasses that he was wearing even though he was inside. "Can I help you with anything?"
Sunny turned round slightly startled by a voice coming from the side of him. He was too busy being nervous and thinking about what would happen that he really didn't notice the guy and thus why he was so startled. Of course as he turned around and saw the guy, Sunny by accident looked at the guy straight in the face and made, what would appear to Sunny, eye contact. This made Sunny very shy and nervous and looked down straight away. He could already feel his face starting to burn up and turn red as the blood rushed into his face. He tried a little too hard to look away from the guy which made him seem almost pathetic in a sense. This didn't do any good for Sunny and it made him think that this guy most really think that he was an idiot or something. "Erm...er..." Sunny said in a light and almost touching whispering tone. Sunny's mind was racing through a lot of things and he needed to say something. He was at a loss of words and that really didn't help. Sunny quickly thought that he should say something because he didn't really want to be in a awkward silence and so he said something which came totally out of the blue. "Greipaldin" he said in Icelandic, which meant grapefruit. He sighed a little and was glad that this guy probably didn't speak a lot of Icelandic, well he assumed so anyway. Now he had to deal with the problem of saying something in Icelandic out loud without looking too stupid. So he tried to cover it up. "Well...erm...sorry I normally speak Icelandic....Erm My names Sunny" he said in a quiet tone. He hoped that changing the subject would help a bit and that the guy would hopefully think it was some sort of greeting when he spoke Icelandic. "Erm...Well...I just arrived from Iceland...to come to this school because of my powers" Sunny said while still looking down. He really didn't want to look at the guys face for a while now, not until he could get over the embarrassment of the whole situation.

Ah, a new student, of course. That made sense because, after all, who else would be knocking on the administration door with suitcases in hand? Thankfully Luke had seen CS & Raina do this kind of thing often enough that he had a pretty good idea of what to do. At least for this beginning part.
"Well, welcome to the Xavier Institute For The Gifted." Luke said warmly as he held out a hand to the young man, making sure that it stuck out far enough that it would be in Sunny's line of sight even though he was looking down. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sunny. How about we step into the office and see about getting things started while I call up one of head staff?"
Pulling out a key Luke unlocked the door and flipped on the light so that Sunny would be able to see. Walking in he took a seat behind CS's desk and then grabbed up a pad and paper. Obviously he couldn't read forms and fill out the blanks like most of the greeters did but as long as he wrote down the information someone else could get the appropriate forms filled out. After making a quick call on the phone to ask Johnny to ask for one of the greeters to come up to the office, Luke turned his attention back to the young man in front of him.
"OK, let's start with the basics. Name, date of birth, country of origin, and mutant ability." Luke said with a quick grin at Sunny, "Not necessarily in that order."
Sunny seemed to have gotten away with his random Icelandic grapefruit greeting which made Sunny calm down a bit. Luke seemed nice enough and the hand held out was a good sign. Sunny never really liked hand shakes that much, he felt that when someone offers a hand shake, you have to shake their hand, no matter what. He sighed a little inside since he knew it would be rude if he didn't and he wasn't about to be rude, it wasn't in his nature to be. He shook Luke's hand but in a gentle manner but Sunny still looked down from the guy. Sunny then nodded at Luke about stepping into the office and then followed him in. Sunny looked at the light that Luke switched on. It was a nice bright light and Sunny liked looking at lights at times. After all he could control the light which were generated from it so he always liked looking at lights from time to time. He then noticed that Luke was sitting down at a desk and had some papers. Sunny took up a chair and sat in front of the desk, putting his suitcase beside him. Sunny listened in to what he had to say and tried to give off a little smile at Luke's grin and comment. "Oh...erm...Well My whole name is Dagbjartur Valdisson....but most people call me Sunny" he said as he quickly thought about why he was called Sunny because Luke might not have known why his whole name was related to the Sun. "Dagbjartur...it means daylight in Icelandic, my mum found it easier to call me Sunny since she was english...and I come from Iceland" he said quietly. This whole thing felt very starnge to him, that he had to speak about who he was and he had to speak it in english. He was very good at speaking in English and did half the time while around his family or friends but now he had to speak fully in English without the Icelandic language as back up. "Ermm...I was born June 21 1991. Erm...I can control light and form light shields and Light blasts...which can blast through bricks. I can only control light from torches and light bulbs....anything what not the sun or similar, i can control." Sunny said, feeling a bit more confident at the end of the sentance. He always did feel a lot more confident if he was talking about his powers or Archery skills.

As Sunny spoke, Luke scribbled down various notes about the young man. There was no way that Luke was even going to attempt to spell the first name that he had just said but he could spell the last name. Using his nick name as the first name would work just as well so Luke continued to move down the paper, filling in the information that Sunny provided.
Name: "Sunny" Valdisson Birthday: June 21, 1991 Country Of Origin: Iceland Power Description: Light control. (Note: Sunny clarrified and said he can only control light that is emitted from a man made device like a lightbulb or flashlight. He can not control light emitted from the sun or stars.)
"If you don't mind my asking, how'd you hear about the school?" Luke asked as he focused his sunglass covered eyes in the direction of the new student, "Also, have you already completed your high school degree or will you need to finish up a few classes in order to get that?"
Room assignments would come later but first Luke needed to know what kind of information to leave the teachers. If Sunny had already graduated highschool then he would have the option of doing nothing other than learning to better control hsi abilities or he could work on his abilities as well as begin taking some different college classes. Of course if he hadn't graduated then he would be required to take the necessary classes to receive his diploma but that was probably not necessary as long as his birth date was correct.
Sunny perked his head up a bit to have look around a bit better. He was still looking down as Luke talked to him but he decided that it was best to lift his head up to have a glance round and get a better look at Luke a bit more. He dared not look into Luke's sunglasses, Sunny disliked sunglasses because you could never tell where the person wearing them was looking. Luke seemed nice enough though and seemed to be filling some important forms in, which was nice. Sunny listened in to the questions Luke had to say. Sunny had to think for a second or two to get what he was thinking in the right order. "Well...erm...you see my Dad is a Psychologist lecturer at Reykjavik University...and erm he went to a lot of places, all over the world, to listen to other lectures and stuff...So when he found out about my mutation, it wasn't hard for him to look into a stuff and gather information about a school for mutants." Sunny said in a quiet tone. He felt a little sad now since he had left his parents to come to this school. They wanted him to come here and they cared for him deeply but that didn't change the fact that he was a little home sick. "Oh...erm...Well my final exams will be coming up very soon...so erm...I guess I still need to be in a few classes." Sunny said with a little sigh. He would easily get pass them, he knew that, but he wanted to share his passes with his parents. He thought that maybe he could visit his parents at the summer break so he could share his results and see all of his friends there too.

"Well if you're about to graduate probably just some final prep classes to get you ready for the exam." Luke said with a quick nod as he wrote down the information. From what he'd learned and seen since coming to the mansion it wasn't uncommon to get people that ranged from grade school age to college age so it wasn't at all strange that Sunny was about to get out of highschool. What united everyone was the fact that they had an ability that they needed to learn how to control.
"Well, since that's done, let's see about getting you set up with a room." Luke said with a quick grin as he left the notepad on CS's desk for him to deal with later. Walking over to one of the filing cabinets, the blind man opened the drawer and then fished around until he found a pair of keys that seemed promising. Swiping his fingers over the slightly engraved room number on the key Luke closed the drawer and then turned back to face Sunny.
"All the first floor rooms are taking but I do have a nice corner room on the third floor. It has a great view of the sunset from what I hear. Is that everything you have with you," He asked with a slight nod toward Sunny's bags, "or do we need to go pick up some other bags first?"
Sunny listened in to the description of the third room corner room. Sunny thought it sounded nice and quint and a good view of the grounds with a sunset made Sunny smile slightly. All that he wanted know was a snow storm and he would feel at home. Alas that it would only snow till next winter but Sunny didn't mind that too much, he could always visit Iceland. "Erm...the room sounds great" Sunny said quietly and his head was raised a little more. His eyes didn't wonder anywhere close to Luke's face though. Sunny looked down at his suitcase and then back to Luke, shaking his head from side to side. "Ermm...No this is all...but my parents have given me a lot of money to buy clothes with so, I'll be fine." Sunny said with a brighter expression. It was good that his parents were moderately rich. They had put some money in his account and would be doing so from time to time so that Sunny could get some clothes and other stuff.

"Alright then, just follow me." Luke said with a quick grin as he walked over and picked up one of Sunny's bags, "You already know where the stairs are so I'll show you the elevator and then we'll head up to the third floor."
The walk from the Administration office to the elevator was relatively quick and in a rather short time the two men were on their way up to the third floor. Once there it was yet another short walk down to the end of the hall where Luke unlocked the apropriate door and then walked into the room.
The room was a very plain looking room and it was clear that it had yet to have any type of impression left on it by an occupant. To the right of the door as you walked in was a small desk with a power outlet, phone jack, and cable jack just the other side of the desk. On the far wall was the bed and at the foot of the bed was a dresser of drawers. Bifold doors opened up to a small closet and another door led into the small private bathroom. Behind the bed was a window looking out on the lawn and just the other side of the dresser was a glass paned door that led out onto a small balcony.
"It's not a lot to look at but it's home. You're welcome to hang up any pictures or posters that might make you feel more at home. Just make the space yours so that you have a good place to relax." Luke said with a smile as he walked over and placed the suitcase he was carrying on the bed. "Is there anything else that you'll need for now?"
Sunny followed Luke to the room where he would be staying in. Sunny didn't mind the walk to much and the elevator wasn't that bad either. When they got to the room Sunny looked around and saw that it was pleasant enough. Sunny thought that he could easily put a few posters up and have a lot of stuff he wanted in this room. Sunny was glad to have a private bathroom as well since he had thoughts that he would have to share a bathroom and he didn't really want that; Sunny liked his privacy. Sunny thought that the view was brilliant and that the lawn looked very nice. Sunny couldn't help but think how beautiful it most look in the Summer when all the green was finally out in full bloom. Though Sunny couldn't help think about the winter too and how the snow could easily transform it. The Balcony was a nice addition to the room and Sunny thought that it would be a quint little spot for him to think things over. Sunny turned to Luke, still looking down of course, but with a small smile on him. "Erm...thank you for the room, it's really nice" said Sunny with a pleasant tone. He looked around it again and thought that he would be able to settle in a lot easier in a nice room like this. "I...erm...I'm not sure if I need anything...Oh yeah, is there an Archery range here....or one in the town I can go to?"

"An archery range?" Luke pondered quietly for a few moments as he tried to think of what the best situation would be. "I don't know of any ranges in town but you'll have two options here. You can either set up targets out on the lawn, as you can see there's plenty of room as long as you make sure noone's nearby while you're shooting, or you can use the danger room. That's a room we have for training purposes. Basically it's a room that uses holograms to become anything that you need it to be."
Nodding slightly to himself, Luke knew that those two options would be the best for someone wanting to practice archery. "The danger room might be the best location since you would know there weren't any kids out playing on the lawn. Just check in with any of the senior staff members and they can take you down to use it."
Sunny listened into Luke about an Archery range. This danger room perked Sunny's mind up, especially about the holograms. He thought that maybe he could study the holograms, since his powers were related to light. To make them to any size as well seemed good and Sunny had a thought they if they were used for training then maybe the holograms were solid. Of course Sunny didn't know if they were, he just kept thinking about the holodeck in star trek Another added factor as well is that it sounded quiet advanced so Sunny thought that there must be moving targets he could use. He could especially do with a lot of practice on moving targets. He already was good at it but like with most things there is always room for improvement and Sunny could improve miles and miles till it felt like there was no room for improvement. Sunny even wondered how they got all this equipment and figured that it probably was plausible in many different ways. "Erm...the danger room sounds great for archery practice...and I guess for mutant abilities as well." sunny said with a small smile. Sunny was able to relax a lot easier now. He got past the initial front of a new social barrier and now only had to start making friends which he decided to worry about later. "Erm...Thank you...for your help and letting me stay here"

"There's really no need to thank me." Luke said with a smile as he stepped over to the door, "This is a place for any mutants that needs a home. All we ask is that you live in peace with everyone else here."
On the surface it seemed like a simple rule but anyone that had actually been forced to practice it would be quick to say that sometimes it could be stressful. With so many different personality types under one roof things could get a little bit crazy at times but it was at the moments of danger when you truly saw just how much everyone pulled together.
"I'll let you get settled in. Welcome to the school Sunny. I'll see you around."
"Ermm...yeah I'll see you around", said Sunny with a subtle smile towards Luke. The nervous of being in somewhere new had died down and now that he had a comfortable room, it made him feel a lot better. He thought that maybe he would settle in his room for a bit and then explore the mansion a later on. He would have a little nap first, not to fully go to sleep but rather to let his body rest a bit since he could feel the pangs of tiredness creeping into his limbs. He didn't want to fall a sleep, not if he wanted nightmares. Sunny felt that he could easily live in peace here if everyone was as nice as Luke and he was glad that Luke had came to greet him. As he thought before though, he wasn't going to look at Luke's face anywhere soon, he still couldn't fully get over randomly shouting grapefruit in Icelandic. He then went up to the door and closed it and then turned around and started to unpack his stuff. He picked up Fredrick, the teddy bear, from out his suitcase and smiled at him. "I guess this is our home for now" ((Closed))
